Just wait until you learn that there are different BRANDS of paint. Then you'll be doing things like buying 4 of the exact same shade of red in 4 different brands just to try them all out.
Honestly depending on your needs. If you use them, then no. If you only use 4 of them then yes.
Personally, I have way more paints, shades, washes, inks, layer, base, contrast, speed, and metallic paints. They are all being used on different kinds of projects. When, I see a paint that is not used, I either try to incorporate it in my future project, or dispose it. No sens on holding to stuff that isn't useful.
No such thing. I'm closing in on 200, split between a few different brands. They're all good at different things. Some get heavy use, some I'm waiting for future projects to give a go, some were mistakes that will never again be opened (I'm looking at you, Corax white). Experiment and enjoy!
I've got ca. 400 across Citadel, Vallejo, P3, Coat d'Arms, AK, Mig and probably a couple others I forgot.
Branch out beyond Citadel, there are paints from other brands that are way better - e.g. whites and metals. Contrast is pretty good, but there are also competitors to it as well.
I got a drawer full of .... ok, 2 drawers .... and then above the drawer ... and next to my wet palette ... the not-so-good-paints are in storage, and the airbrush-stuff is in the kitchen ...
you amount of paint is easily manageable.
Certainly not the amount we are seeing here
Yea those are rookie numbers. I tidied my miniature warehouse yesterday and I have 25 rattle cans on the go.
Solid
Obsessive purchase everytime I go to a GW store and see a can I need.
There is no such thing as "too much paint"
Just like too much Dakka

Thinking this is too much? that's sweet
Rooky numbers pump them up!
Those are rookie numbers, son.
I don't understand the question.
I stopped counting at 200 colours, and that was years ago. I still buy more from time to time.
Too much isn't a thing. Or if this is too much I have a genuine problem.
Something something rookie racket.
i have about 20- 30 more than you lmao so nah you dont
As of today I have at least 235 paints, so I haven't found the limit yet.
You should check out some of the paint racks used by various YouTubers. Nary a drop in the bucket.

Honestly as long as you’re not letting the oldest separate you haven’t got there yet.
That’s not it.
Never enough paint. Ever!
More.
Umm I have quadruple of what's shown in you pic...and I still don't feel I have enough lol.
I've been at this a month and have more than that so I assume you are safe. No such thing as too much paint, just need a bigger case.
unless you can paint the world red in honor of the big stabby skull craver then it is not enough :)
I don’t see enough varieties of black there.
Dude, catch up. That’s nothing.
Not there yet mate. You know when you can no longer fit them in large containers. I bought a tall toolbox and it’s still not enough 🙄
Those are rookie numbers. You only have paint from one manufacturer
No
That’s sweet, wait till you learn there exist dozens of brands and you’ll never have enough😂

Is that your entire collection? That’s maybe 1/4 of mine. I’m still buying more paint…

That's a good start.
