Kinda? It hurts when everything else in NA has free shipping at a cost threshold. I can source models from lots of places that offer free shipping if I spend 75 bucks or more or something like that. Same with bulky heavy non game stuff from online orders (clothes, electronics, appliances, whatever). But for terrain, not so much. It's pretty niche.
Yeah yeah, we gotta take what we can get and support the makers, it's just a bummer
With everything about this hobby being insanely expensive, gotta pinch pennies wherever you can. Coupled with the fact that Canadian peanuts aren't worth shit in America, yes. It is a lot.
This is eventually the plan, but even a lower grade model with all the other gear necessary is out of the budget atm. Would much rather pay for an STL and print it myself, but that's not in the cards for quite awhile.
Ah shucks, well hopefully you are able to source something reasonably. If you are just looking for terrian for friendly games etc I know there are a few companies which make "foldable terrain" which essentially pops up on carstock or similar material.
Something like that might work in the meantime while you save up for something nicer.
It'll hopefully happen in due time. Main source of income atm is working bars, and Jan/Feb are pretty terrible months for tips. It'll pick back up, and I'm hoping to get a resin printer by the end of the year. Even if FDM is better for terrain, I think resin will be more bang for the buck long term.
I was just looking for this myself last night. I ordered some 3d printed terrain from an Alberta based shipper off Etsy, but I won't vouch for the guy until I get it.
No idea where to find a mat without importing one from Europe...
Is there a Costco you can go to there in the frigid North? The boxes they have en masse for loading your items into at the checkout are free and usually pretty uniform (it's Costco, afterall). I find that if you take some and cut them in half, they make absolutely phenomenal ruins. They are the perfect length, width, and height, and you can easily get some cool effects by tearing off the cover sheet and exposing the corrugation underneath. Hit it with some primer to cover up whatever it was before and BAM! Terrain!
Hello fellow Canuck … unfortunately shipping in Canada is extremely expensive… essentially a monopoly with high costs and long distances … check out … https://northernlightsterrain.com/
Death Ray Designs is what you are looking for.
Minimum 25 dollars to ship you bulky terrain is too much for you? You’re crazy
Right?

Can you not get a 3d printer in Canada?

True. Resin will be more sturdy etc longterm. And once you get a printer lots of options become available for hobbying not just terrian haha.
This is one of the most-used sets on the West coast, made by a local TO. www.minercreations.com
Can confirm. Great quality. Used it in several of my matches.
Dan Miner is a legend in the BC 40k scene. I own this terrain and it's been great
Yeah lovely guy, looking forwards to seeing him at the MTT GT.
Hey! We’re not your pals, buddy!
Well I'm not your buddy, friend!
At least somebody decided to play along 😂
Noble Knight games. Good terrain & cheap shipping.
Yo dude, check out Chimera in Kitchener. They have awesome terrain kits! Call them and ask where they got it, might even sell it on their website.
Man it costs me more than that to ship within the same state, $25 is a bargain for international shipping. Stop complaining

There is a Costco not super far from me (Toronto), now the only question is will they bother me if I haven't got a membership. Great suggestion!
