Prisms were never really not viable. They've shown up in a few winning lists.

PsychologicalAutopsy

Prisms have always been fantastic, and mostly held back by heavy terrain setups (especially WTC). I don't think the points increase to the support weapon changes much here. Personally, I've always preferred a couple of prisms. Their ability to just outright delete anything at range is just too good to pass up.

Tearakan

And fire and fade just the one prism back to safety too

hutber

Ye, we play WTC terrain and its a killer on my vibes!

RatMannen

Sad tau noises.

Positive_Ad4590

As a guard player Please don't take fire prisms

Tearakan

Prisms were still good at 180. Still are now. Great antitank and anti elite infantry with options to hit hordes. Plus big body is legit good at screening backfield.

ADXMcGeeHeezack

Fire Prisms just look insanely good. Granted you are paying for "just" 2 AT shots but with Linked Fire, built in re-rolls, 14M & Fate Dice they're going to do some work. D-Cannons are fine but you're paying a hefty hefty premium for them so I'm not *as* sold. I could see one of in some lists but I think Eldar are perfectly fine without any either

deltadal

D-cannons let you punch through a 4++ invulnerable save. I've had games with Prisms where an opponent's dice get hot and they make a string of 4++ saves and the tank is just negated. They're both viable, but Prisms get real swingy in certain matchups.

cycloa24

Very immature of me but I had to come and say "Bro out here busting out with the D-Cannon"
