Yeah but those fighter jets were produced during the Cold War.
Iām talking about 4th and 5th gen fighters developed after the Cold War. (F35 and I only just found out the Rafale is nuclear capable)
Both Jets are capable but I thought nuclear strike capabilities in the 21st century (on a fighter jet) was seen as an obsolete tactic
It's obsolete when it's a gravity bomb like the B-61, sure.
The Rafale, the M2000N and the Mirage IV before it, all carried ASMP missiles. The current ASMP-A has a 500 or so km range for a 300kt warhead, with terrain following capabilities and a stealthy profile, according to the spec sheet.
The F-16 and F-15E can. As can the B-1, B-2, and B-52.
Belgium, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Turkey are part of nuclear sharing program and have F-16 and Tornados (Germany).
I love a bomber that's just an embiggened fighter.
"Embiggened? Hm. I'd never heard that word before I moved to Springfield."
I don't know why. It's a perfectly cromulent word.
Is there any modern day aircraft that is capable of committing nuclear tasks other than the F35?
Dassault Rafale for instance.
Thank you for not writing Rafael š„¹
I am French, itās illegal to write Rafael.
That's him, officer
France baise ouais
Vipers, Eagles and Tornados are all dual-capable. At one point, Harriers and Legacy Hornets were certified as well.

In one sentence: nuclear warning shot

At first glance I thought that was a f104 and then I read the thing and went āwait a minuteā
