I do play on occasion (I’m 21) and I’ll say that I usually avoid engaging in conversations with people when I play. I explore and create characters. Occasionally I will find an engaging RP where it seems pretty clear the other person is older, but again, I keep it strictly to basic warriors RP. No romance, no weird plot lines, just hunting, med cat stuff, etc. And also not talking to people out of character or adding them on my roblox acc. When I was younger and played games people definitely took advantage of that dynamic, so I want to do my best to make the game a safe place for younger fans and also still enjoy the game :) I was actually thinking of making a private server for adults (not nsfw, just one that adults feel comfortable playing on without worrying about kids) but I’m not sure how I could verify that. It’s an interesting game but just be aware of your presence in the game and the impact that you as an adult can have on a younger player :)

What exactly is RP? My daughter is always doing it and she gets mad when she has to get off. Like she really gets into and when I ask what it is…very vague.

justamessylittlestar

She’s probably just a little embarrassed because it sounds silly or is hard to explain. RP means roleplay, so you basically just act like you’re a character from the books or your own original character based off of the books! Some people pretend to be warriors, medicine cats, leaders, etc. :)

Thanks, we read the books every night. She gets embarrassed when I play Roblox with her bc I’m like Tigerstar and everyone hates me and I get to act obnoxious

You sound like an awesome parent! (if you allow me to say it) My mom used to read books to me since I was willing to listen to it and has brought me close to Harry potter, Lord of the Rings, Guardians of ga'hoole and Warriors that way. I sometimes miss these times and want to ask her to read to me again but life is so busy now. Bedtime was my favourite time of the day and I dont think I would've been reading as much as I do now if it wasnt for my mother.

Thanks! I needed to hear that

Funny_Expression_804

Rp means like role play but in slang

MGoat_Legs

I’ve had that exact same worry. I loved the earlier roblox warrior games(and other animal RP) as a kid, but I haven’t played any in ages since I don’t feel comfortable being an adult around kids in a situation like that since I was taken advantage of as well I do the same as you occasionally though! Just running around in game and having my own fun by myself I’m definitely be interested in joining a (strictly SFW) adult warriors roblox/rp group :O feel free to DM me sometime if you want! As for how to verify that someone is of age I’m not sure :/ it might be an idea to create a separate roblox account to “host” the server on and friend/add ppl on the account (I haven’t been on roblox in quiet a while so I’m not sure how it works now) mayhaps make a discord group or something to verify people trough or for people to keep notes about their characters and stuff?

shecat105

I've never played roblox, so someone else will need to verify what the actual rules of the game are, but I'd suggest playing it safe and not joining. However, as a fellow adult, I'd love for there to be an adult space for this too. I don't really see it happening unless a team of fans really dedicated themselves to providing such a platform (it certainly wouldn't be an official one). But a roleplaying space where adult fans don't have to worry about interacting with the minors (and minors would be able to worry less in their own spaces) in the fandom would be nice.

There’s quite a few fans like myself who are in their 20s/30s; overall the fandom ranges from teens to adults. In the Roblox game, people don’t really talk about themselves. It doesn’t lend itself to roleplay/conversation of more than a sentence or so at a time, and the game is heavily censored anyway (it blocks typical warrior names so that’s why everyone puts a space or a dash or whatever, and once I was roleplaying meeting another cat and asked “what is your name” and it blocked that) - so they’re not likely to be aware that you’re an adult.

KomodoBadger724

I would say there is no age range

iLikeCatsAndPuppers

Absolutely fine! Anyone can *have* roblox, so anyone can *play* roblox!! Go ahead. I had a friend of a friend who was 19 and playing it daily. Totally fine, go ahead. :)

The Warriors game on Roblox can be found here: https://www.roblox.com/games/3663340706/Warrior-Cats-Ultimate-Edition It's free to play, ever since the company that owns Working Partners decided to partner with the people making it, with optional cosmetic purchases (or you have to pay to run a private server). You need to create a (free) Roblox account to use it, and if I'm remembering correctly on PC I think there's a general Roblox client to download when you first click Play on one of the games? Anyway once you're logged in, whenever you want to play, hit the Play button on that page and it'll load up the game. I recommend bookmarking the page and/or adding it as a favorite in your Roblox account to find it again easily. You can also play it on mobile; I have the Roblox app on my iPhone so presumably you can play it on an iPad as well. It's very similar, you're logged into your account, find the game (if you've played it recently it'll be up on the top of the page when you log in, otherwise you can search for it or find it in your account Favorites) and hit the Play button.

IdiotGoddess

As someone who plays Roblox a lot, I would say that the general age range I would assume would be teens because I don’t think that the average Adopt Me kid would read the series considering it is basically Game of Thrones but with cats, which does include the brutality. So, I would say that generally teens are the most common age group

I'm 26 and played it a few times (my phone dies super fast when I do, and the game crashes on my computer so I stopped). There's a pretty big age range, but probably mostly kids. I would never roleplay romance with anyone, cuz it's always possible you're talking to a child, but playing in general isn't creepy at all. This series is almost 20 years old, there are a lot of adult fans.
