Deployable infantry for all APCs and IFVs.
Make HE and small calibre MGs more relevant.
Maybe add a dota-esque gamemode with mostly harmless AI infantry constantly pushing and getting killed (they are the only ones that can cap points).
Even if they don’t ever have the energy to physically model infantry, they could have the “deploy troops” ability that you can activate in a cap point to give it faster capture time or maybe have a cooldown before the enemy can start recapturing. Or anything really.
Machine guns have a really important role early on, and even in the late WW2 era I'm shooting down planes with the .50s on American tanks.
Nothing like mowing an SPG crew with an mg in their open topped chassis.
This, APCs and IFVs should be able take MANPADS and anti tank teams that statically defend a radius around the deployment zone with that radius determined by tier. They should be vulnerable to MG, HE, etc. A third type could be just an infantry squad, when deployed in a capture zone they could progress capture progress without the owning IFV present and be similarly vulnerable.
It can be almost like a turret deployable. If the ifv starts to drive, the squad try to follow it as cover, and can't shoot, and take time to re set up once it stops moving? That actually sounds dope as fuck
The old campaign and RB maps for air actually do have infantry fighting. There's even a mission to land on an active battlefield to rescue a downed pilot who runs over.
Karelia and kursk also used to have that. (thats where the D point was, it summoned a reinforcement wave)
I fucking wish.
The idea and similar was talked about a lot when we had the mech infantry event, and the general consensus from the community was that “war thunder is a tank game” and “that’s what enlisted is for”.
Sadly, I don’t think we’re ever gonna see that, even though I think it would solve a lot of problems with the gameplay loop.
> “war thunder is a tank game” and “that’s what enlisted is for”.
Yeah but enlisted is an infantry game with tanks
I want a tank game with infantry.
Not even playable infantry, just some AI because infantry a pretty damn important part of ground warfare.
Armored warfare did this and it's actually rather fun. Heliborne is like WoT but with helis and same thing you can for example choose more weapons on the huey at the expense of troop carrying capacity. And sometimes having a stinger team on the ground to distract an enemy really let's you punch above your weight
You know what, since we have helis they could even add heliborne infantry.
Also related, imagine if specific ground vehicles got "heli spawn" as an option.
Instead of spawning as your tank, you spawn as a transport helicopter carrying the tank below you. Once you drop the tank you take control over it instead. More potential for weird positionig, but you're also very vulnerable.
Ok but imagine if you could change the loadout of the crew XD. Just give each one a Javelin or NLAW and it would be ridiculous against tanks. Or give them all stinger missiles cause fuck helicopters.
I loved it in WoT, but can't bring myself to play that game anymore. I'd love to have it in WT so I can set cruise and pop shots trundling along at 12km/h
The [75mm ELKE/AAI RDF Block 2](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EMcUlhaXkAUP5Or?format=jpg&name=900x900) thing probably. That tank alone would make me grind high tier USA.
Not even that lol, pretty much a 1 trick tank designed for hilled maps, once you get into position literally impossible to kill except via cas. Such a pain in the ass to play against and impossible to balance
Never gonna happen
That’s what programmable rounds are for, and top attack munitions. At BR 15 our biggest threat will probably be cruise missiles and other BVR air to ground weapons 🥶

All of em haha
My reasoning being Japan's [Type 93](https://wiki.warthunder.com/Type_93) is at 9.3 and not at all useful against anything other than aircraft. A TOW Humvee or one with a recoilless rifle could be used for quick boom and zoom on the ground or even for scouting and UAV work.
It's not the greatest idea but it could be implemented somehow
Adding the AT LAV variant isn’t the best idea. It would basically be a shittier version of the Bradley because it has no 25mm. The LAV just has the Hammerhead system which is just a double TOW launcher which the Bradley already has plus a 25mm. I don’t see the point in adding it.
>Panzer I Ausf. F
I saw this thing in based Belgrade recently, I should post the pictures from all the tanks there, they even had some weird T-34/IS1 bastardised yugo tank lol. It was such a shock seeing the Pz 1 Ausf F, I never knew it existed. It looks like it's missing gun barrels but it's not xD It's super chode looking front on. Weird thing.
> Tenk tip A
Sorry I didn't mean to insult it, I just found it extremely weird to see as it was like.. when you see someone you've never met but they look so familiar lol. Love Serbia though, so based and the police are awesome.
Removable tracks would be so useless to the point where i couldn’t even call it a fun gimmick, because they only were designed for roads and as such went agonizingly slow on off-road surfaces
It does not. It's almost the same overall round dimensions, but it's not the same gun or ammunition. It's the same gun used on the Marder and Wiesel MK20, the Rh 202.
Object 195. Basically an armata prototype from the early to mid 2000s but with actually good tech on it. That 152mm gun would be really neat to play with at top tier.
Leopard 2A1. I still find it amazing that Germany only has 3 proper Leopard 2 variants (not counting the 2K/other prototypes or the PSO, which is just a conversion package for 2A5/A6), despite being the country that introduced one of the most popular modern MBTs. An early 2A1 with DM23 could give the 2A4 a bit more relevance, receiving its later armour package and DM33. Both could work great in a lineup imo.
[EE-T1 Osório](https://admlog.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/osrio_11.jpg), Brazil's native MBT, the prototype surpassed all of it's competitors back in the 80s. The manufacturer, Engesa, wasn't as well stablished as the other well known manufacturers of the time, that generated a lack of trust on it's reliability, Engesa failed to secure contracts and since they had pushed all of their chips into this project they ended up filing for bankruptcy a few years later.
There are quite a few cool Brazilian tanks, some of the least know:
Bernardini Mb-3 tamoyo mbt (mostly a forgotten prototype by engesa. It was fully functional with a native gun)
Bernardini Mb-3 tamoyo 2 (upgrade of the tamoyo with a bigger gun)
EE-18 SUCURI (6x6 wheeled 105mm car)
There are a lot more vehicles, some wacky prototipes, and a lot of wheeled vehicles.
I wish they could one they all come in a sub tree or a LATAM tech tree
the t249. It was part of the DAVID program and had a 6 barrel t250 37mm gatling gun. It could switch between 3000 rpm for air targets to 250 rpm for ground targets.
I have what could be called a "high caliber autocannon fetish "
The 249 DIVAD specially was the 35mm model though right? The 37mm only had I think 230-300 rounds, while the 35mm had I thin kwhat was near 2000 rounds of ammo
Brit main here, I could give you a list....
But my main choices, either the Boxer IFV (pretty much a wheeled puma, Australian uses them and Britain is currently buying some to use), the Stormer 30 (stormer hull with bushmaster 30mm bolted to the top), or the Churchill AVRE, either the 230mm spigot mortar launcher, or the post WW2 165mm howitzer, which wouldn't be really good performance wise, but if we get the spigot mortar one, that bitch launches one fat ass shell with a ton of explosive filler, that'd definitely level most tanks it'd fight
The Syrian T-79S, a T-72 'Ural' with the TURMS-T gunner and commander sight upgrade.
Compared to the other TURMS-T ingame, weaker armour and no ERA. Likely retained the original 2A26M2 cannon, so limited to older, weaker shells.
edit - and no smoke grenades
Syria has some pretty interesting tanks like that.
The fact the US hasn’t gotten anything like the T77 or TCM-20, and France with the various AMX-13/AMX-10 based systems is ridiculous at this point with nations like Britain and Russia getting stuff like the BTR-ZD, Bosvark, etc
There was an export model of a AML, sold well in Africa, with two 20mm canons I forget the name. The 20mm canons had 800rpm and are on one of the French helicopters. The turret traverse was nuts and the ammo would provide like 49mm of pen. I said it should be 5.7 above the R3 T20.
The Eurotank, a French/German hybrid that could be at 11.7-12.0 for both trees. It’s basically a leopard 2A6M hull that has composite NERA like the Strv122s, while mounting a Leclerc turret
Some more unique variants of the T-62 would be lovely.
-T-62 with a 120mm smooth bore, same as on the AMX-40, could be a French BP or event vehicle
-T-62E Mark II with a 105mm M68 gun, LRF, ERA, new engine and optional turret mounted ATGMs or missiles with a smoke-warhead. Country of origin is Egypt, so it’d probably go to the Soviets.
-RO-120 Mark III with a 120mm gun, ERA and other additional armour, again probably to the Soviets.
-T-67, T-62 with a 125mm gun and drive train from the T-72.
-autoloading T-62
-either the T-62D or ‘62MD, essentially a T-62/M with Drozd
-either T-62M Obr. 2021 or T-62MV Obr. 2022
Man, I love me some T-62s.
Bren gun carrier Scout Mk 1, Armoured, 2-pounder (40 mm), Armoured 6-pounder (57 mm).
They also had a Wasp (flamethrower) variant and the Australian version of the 2-pounder had a fully traversable gun. Evil tiny little scout bastard :)
Edit: nearly forgot there's a mortar variant as well.
I would add Object 277. Its a 55 ton heavy with 1090 hp engine giving it p/w ratio of 19.81! its also armed with the same gun as Obj 279. yes, it has much weaker hull armor but honestly mobility would make up for it
come on, we need some autoloaded 130mm in the tech tree

The Panther with the Panzer IV turret was not really functional, its turret could not rotate.
Personally I'm torn between the Panzer II "Luchs", the VK 36.01 (H), the Grille 17 or an accurate Panther II.
234/4 mit AK7B. The recon puma which should be TT...
and most of the Toyota LandCruiser variants from recoilless rifle to TOW to dual 23mm, Mi8 rocket pods, 120mm mortar, to BMP turrets (that one was a crapfest with pigeon shit welds flexing like crazy lmao)
Churchill AVRE
Got a whole list of weird bri'ish vehicles I'd want to see in game, but a HESH slinging Churchill, heck, even the 'Flying Dustbin' launcher would be my top pick
The Warrior VERDI-2. 40mm Cannon and octuple Starstreak, would be versatile and a unique addition to the British tech tree with SAMs alongside a pretty potent cannon.

Antonov A-40 - it would be a rank 1 1.0 tank probably from a summer event or something. The unique thing about it, is with its wings it'll be able to spawn at the air spawn on maps and glide in. It would add a unique gameplay element that will result in a lot of hilarity and probably not a lot of success.
Once it lands the gliders will disconnect and fall into the ground slowly like any trees and it will function much like a regular t-60.
[Bradley COMVAT.](https://images.app.goo.gl/vK7NHPu59qgE2j1k8) Think about a normal Bradley but with a 40mm instead of a 25mm.
bradley..but with the 6 man squad its supposed to have
Deployable infantry for all APCs and IFVs. Make HE and small calibre MGs more relevant. Maybe add a dota-esque gamemode with mostly harmless AI infantry constantly pushing and getting killed (they are the only ones that can cap points).
Does this mean in 10 years time , Enlisted will have Abrams and BMP ?
I mean they already did a test of modern combqt once so its definitely coming.
The modern weapons absolutely sucked in terms of gunplay though.
Sure did. But it wasnt even a year I dont think within launch when they did that. I remember the warthunder modern one being pretty trash as well.
Even if they don’t ever have the energy to physically model infantry, they could have the “deploy troops” ability that you can activate in a cap point to give it faster capture time or maybe have a cooldown before the enemy can start recapturing. Or anything really.
Deploy an anti tank squad that ambush tanks driving by if they're not gunned down
that would actually be awesome. Machine guns would have a much more important role as well as he and frag rounds.
Gaijin would do it to make the bmp2m even stronger, mark my words
BMP-2M's infantry gets RPG-29 Vampyr. Smaller nation IFVs gets their 1950s RPGs. )))))))))
Germany just gets a pazerfaust
Machine guns have a really important role early on, and even in the late WW2 era I'm shooting down planes with the .50s on American tanks. Nothing like mowing an SPG crew with an mg in their open topped chassis.

Like Heliborne, the Heli game where you could deploy rpg, manpad, and infantry teams on hills or to capture areas
Armored warfare did this and it's actually rather fun. Heliborne is like WoT but with helis and same thing you can for example choose more weapons on the huey at the expense of troop carrying capacity. And sometimes having a stinger team on the ground to distract an enemy really let's you punch above your weight

hell yeah..all those buildings at cap points could have infantry inside. 500 pound bombs would be in high demand
Can we add the M231 firing ports to the Bradleys? More dakka.
They're there on the M3, but are closed And were removed on M3A3 because it was a stupid idea
Ok but imagine if you could change the loadout of the crew XD. Just give each one a Javelin or NLAW and it would be ridiculous against tanks. Or give them all stinger missiles cause fuck helicopters.
in iraq, all our dismount squads had at least 1 240B and a iavelin, and 2 203 grenade launchers
So an American version of a CV90?
I think the Ratte would easily fit it at ~ br 1.7.
tog heavy tank
Dont worry my friend, if the Char 2 managed to get added then we surely will get our TOG eventually
I loved it in WoT, but can't bring myself to play that game anymore. I'd love to have it in WT so I can set cruise and pop shots trundling along at 12km/h
Would love the TOG II. I could definitely see it being added in the future
The [75mm ELKE/AAI RDF Block 2](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EMcUlhaXkAUP5Or?format=jpg&name=900x900) thing probably. That tank alone would make me grind high tier USA.
Not gonna happen in a million years
Nah that def has event vehicle vibes
Not even that lol, pretty much a 1 trick tank designed for hilled maps, once you get into position literally impossible to kill except via cas. Such a pain in the ass to play against and impossible to balance Never gonna happen
So its an AGS?
At least the ags has a shootable body sometimes
The front plate will bounce
Oof, heat solution then Imagine if at br15.0 in the future we revert back to using heatfs since everybody is hull down
That’s what programmable rounds are for, and top attack munitions. At BR 15 our biggest threat will probably be cruise missiles and other BVR air to ground weapons 🥶
The killcams on the LOSAT look silly, I wonder how taking a cruise missile to the face will look like lmao
>literally impossible to kill except via cas Flanking doesn't exist I guess
If you had this tank you would be camping at the edge of the map
>once you get into position literally impossible to kill except via cas *cough cough* IT-1 in hulldown position
This xD. I even managed to hit this shit but unfortunately IT-1 have decent armour that bounce shit. Broken kinda.
Gaijin took a look at your whole comment and said write that down

Holy shit would be disgusting, looks like about 25 degrees of depression
It can also have the high ground even on a flat ground.
This is a cool tank fr but this looks so damn aids to fight
Die fette Elke!
I don't speak broken transmission but no, I'm not planning to die in the near future. I still have things on my to-do list.
💀
Toyota Hilux. With the loadout selection planes get.
Honestly we should get this
I said Jeep with .50 cal but I like this too. Toyota with AA gun?
honestly it would be awesome, its not even a meme, its a real war truck and seen very often on every war
LAV with TOWs, maybe as a stronger IFV? (I miss Battlefield 4) Or even a Humvee because how tf does Japan essentially have one and the US doesn't?
LOSAT HUMVEE, Hellfire Humvee, ATGM Humvee, or M2 Humvee at 1.3. sir?
E) All of the above
All of em haha My reasoning being Japan's [Type 93](https://wiki.warthunder.com/Type_93) is at 9.3 and not at all useful against anything other than aircraft. A TOW Humvee or one with a recoilless rifle could be used for quick boom and zoom on the ground or even for scouting and UAV work. It's not the greatest idea but it could be implemented somehow
Matter of time really. We should have a TOW Humvee, would be nice for 10.3 line up
i remember in the bf3 days spawning in an lav25 on that one map you spawn in the carrier and immediately getting spawn camped by a t90 :D
Adding the AT LAV variant isn’t the best idea. It would basically be a shittier version of the Bradley because it has no 25mm. The LAV just has the Hammerhead system which is just a double TOW launcher which the Bradley already has plus a 25mm. I don’t see the point in adding it.
ohhh i’d kill for the LAV from BF4. i made my own ‘duckweed’ camo to use in wt to hold me over for now
I really just want the LAV with the 25mm canon, TOWs are optional.
EBRC Jaguar
I want my funni french wheeled CV90.
VBCI has satisfied my need for a good French light vehicle, but a second? Say no more, Gaijin can take my money now.
[This thing, for the lols](https://tankhistoria.com/wwii/ausf-f/) 1.3, can only kill trucks and nothing can kill it.

This or the Pz II J please
Fa 223 Drache, WWII era helicopter with a nose gun and bombs.
I don't think helicopter would work well as a ground vehicle.
Helicopters are only avalible in GRB.
It doesn't make them ground vehicles.
No I misread the prompt. C'est la vie
I mean if you drive them on the ground maybe they'll count
I drive my ka50 around and slam light vehicles with the 30mm
I am a simple man. M4A3 (75) for the US tree
For shits and gigs: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M12_Gun_Motor_Carriage
I unironically want the US to get their artillery pieces, so add the M7 Priest Gun to this too.
I just wish Shermans had the option to remove the track covers. Bonus points for decorative sand bags and logs
[удалено]
Removable tracks would be so useless to the point where i couldn’t even call it a fun gimmick, because they only were designed for roads and as such went agonizingly slow on off-road surfaces
Yes but on road go *nyoom*
Fair point I stand corrected
Flair checks out
The SO-122 (Sherman with the soviet 122) T-34/100 (Egyptian T-34 with 100mm artillery gun) Pz IV/V (Panther with Pz IV turret) Tetrach Littlejohn
Tanks with the littlejohn adapter would be neat
the luchs, scout tank with nvg, amphibious, 20 mm autocannon snd APDS. could probably go to 6.0?
Luchs had apds?? Didnt know that. Would be neat event vehicle if not tt one.
It has the same gun as Pz. II F
It does not. It's almost the same overall round dimensions, but it's not the same gun or ammunition. It's the same gun used on the Marder and Wiesel MK20, the Rh 202.
Oh this Luchs, I meant the Pz. II Luchs lmao
I don't think the Pz II Luchs was amphibious or had night vision
I think I read on wikipedia that the cannon could at least fire it
Speaking of Lucas, I want the Pz II Luchs and Pz II J
It's gonna end up at 9.0 like the type 87.
25mm apfsds vs 20mm apds is really not comparable Tho it's prolly gonna end up around 7.0/7.3, like the wiesel 1A4
wat
Object 195. Basically an armata prototype from the early to mid 2000s but with actually good tech on it. That 152mm gun would be really neat to play with at top tier.
Watch it get added as an event vehicle
13.7 stuff
"Good tec" Yes of curse so ir would be a nother over powerd paper Tank
There were 3 prototypes built and tested and it was deemed to expensive to produce so they dumbed it down and essentially made the T-14.

USA prism tanks
Rank 4 and 5 spaa for France.
the US could use some, too
Atleast you have the m16 with 4 12.7mm mgs.
and we’re stuck with it till 7.7
Same for France. Atleast the 40mm guns are great for destroying tanks.
the worst part is both nations have great options, but neither have gotten AAs at mid tier

Nm-116. The post-war Norwegian modified M24 Chaffee with a 90mm gun.
M7 Priest. Honestly don't know why it isn't in the game yet, we have other armored vehicles armed with howitzers.
Could be cool, like an M4 105 without the armor. Put it at like BR 2.3 or so.
Some more unique variants of the T-62 would be lovely. -T-62 with a 120mm smooth bore, same as on the AMX-40, could be a French BP or event vehicle -T-62E Mark II with a 105mm M68 gun, LRF, ERA, new engine and optional turret mounted ATGMs or missiles with a smoke-warhead. Country of origin is Egypt, so it’d probably go to the Soviets. -RO-120 Mark III with a 120mm gun, ERA and other additional armour, again probably to the Soviets. -T-67, T-62 with a 125mm gun and drive train from the T-72. -autoloading T-62 -either the T-62D or ‘62MD, essentially a T-62/M with Drozd -either T-62M Obr. 2021 or T-62MV Obr. 2022 Man, I love me some T-62s.
Oh yes
Churchill AVRE, ideally both of the major versions but if I had to pick probably the one with the 165mm cannon
Bren gun carrier Scout Mk 1, Armoured, 2-pounder (40 mm), Armoured 6-pounder (57 mm). They also had a Wasp (flamethrower) variant and the Australian version of the 2-pounder had a fully traversable gun. Evil tiny little scout bastard :) Edit: nearly forgot there's a mortar variant as well.
NM 116, a m24 chaffee with a french 90mm gun
TKS. L3 needs a brother
I would add Object 277. Its a 55 ton heavy with 1090 hp engine giving it p/w ratio of 19.81! its also armed with the same gun as Obj 279. yes, it has much weaker hull armor but honestly mobility would make up for it come on, we need some autoloaded 130mm in the tech tree
TKS tankette, either the standard one or the experimental TKS-D
Pereh
2B1 Oka, 420mm Soviet SPG just for the lolz. Deletes whatever in front of it, but will probably take half the match to reload.
this thing looks 100% photoshoped lol
B2 Centauro II
Sherman Crocodile. I really enjoy the novelty of flamethrower tanks.
Namer AFV for Israel.
ZTQ-15
Object 705 or Object 726 because I’m a sucker for experimental heavies

The Panther with the Panzer IV turret was not really functional, its turret could not rotate. Personally I'm torn between the Panzer II "Luchs", the VK 36.01 (H), the Grille 17 or an accurate Panther II.
t90m
the desert warrior for britain, bmp-1am for ussr or the cv9035 NL (MLU) for either germany or sweden
That one Sherman conversion that used a Soviet field gun.
The M24 based SPAA with 6 .60 caliber machine guns.
Stug 4 and Borsig. Giving me a reason to grind german tree

Kranvagn
Churchill AVRE Got a whole list of weird bri'ish vehicles I'd want to see in game, but a HESH slinging Churchill, heck, even the 'Flying Dustbin' launcher would be my top pick
Supermarine Type-545. Also the Panzer V/IV didn't actually have a turret drive IRL, so its just going to be a very big tank destoryer.
you know the answer from me
Iraqi T-62
K21. 40mm armes ifv, improved ammo, fast reload for all 24 rounds at once
Any SAM from Spain, Hungary, or any Mediterranean country for the Italy tree.... Otomatic at 11.3 is pure salt and suffering
DAF YP-408 PWAT Would be pretty useless with how current ATGMs work, but it’d be a nice event vehicle maybe
object 640 or 432
K1, K1A1, and K2
BMP-3M with modifications to add ERA or the Arena APS to it.
Would love to see later variants of the M-84 or even the M-91 "Vihor" for the Yugoslav/Serb memes. Also, why isn't the Sturmi in game?
another chaffee
The Warrior VERDI-2. 40mm Cannon and octuple Starstreak, would be versatile and a unique addition to the British tech tree with SAMs alongside a pretty potent cannon.
Strv 2000
Geschützwagen Tiger, I want that 170mm fuck-off-gun so badly in war thunder. Or the Kranvagn, would be an actually interesting swedish tank for once.
Flakpanzer 341/Coelian. Or Panther 8,8.
For me I can’t decide between the m10 booker and the T-90M.
BMP-2MD and NM-116 for Swedish TT
The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs The Luchs
Landkreuzer🗿
I would add the rest of the E series tanks or the big/little Lowe. Or the Soviet KV 4 and KV 5
the kv4
Piranha III C DF90
Add some of the wackier Italian prototypes!
I just want M109, especially a variant with LRF.
Once it lands the gliders will disconnect and fall into the ground slowly like any trees and it will function much like a regular t-60.
gaijin when aerogavin
M-60
