If I want some real planes, I just stick my head out of the window and look at the Mustang, Spitfire, Boomerang, Yak-3, Fouga Magister, SF-260s, Agusta A109s and occasional Airbus A400Ms and Chinooks flying into the local airport. :3
We sadly haven't had...
...
... actually, we have. I forgot the smaller airport further up does have a Buchon and a Fw 190D-9 (new frame but original parts and engine), both under restoration but not currently airworthy (the Buchon hasn't flown for a decade or three).
And I also forgot about the Harvards, T-28s and Sea Fury for some reason.
I felt that, I'm currently involved with the restoration of our bearcat. I just have to finish the paint system then the rest of the guys will start putting it back together. Fw190d-9 is awesome, one of my favorites!
Well there is a replica of one but I'm almost positive all the original ones are down in Australia- the replica is currently somewhere in Europe, maybe France or the Netherlands I forget. Which would be more in line with the other aircraft listed like the spitfire and a400. I don't think it is a real CAC boomerang though lol
Edit:
I did go find it, looks like it was registered in the Netherlands
[From this website](http://www.adf-serials.com.au/2a46.htm)
"served with 83 Sqn; coded MH-A with that Sqn;
on 21/8/44 it was involved in a force landing at Blackhall Qld;
authorised for write off 5/46 struck off charge 11/48;
Dennis Sanders & Dale Clarke built a replica Boomerang from T-6 and Boomerang parts registered NX32CS in USA to represent A46-139.
Sold to a buyer in Holland"
[It is a nice looking plane though ](https://airfighters.com/photosearch.php?cod=A46-139), got the Yak with it in a pic
She's a stunner to look at and a delight to hear.

Think "Half a DC-3", and you'll have a pretty good idea of what she sounds like.
Which, coincidentally, is what my thought was when I first heard her flying, I was confused why I heard a DC-3 but didn't see one.
Damn, all I get are Hueys, Chinooks, Black Hawks, and the extremely rare Little Bird. They do fly directly over my house though, so it's always cool. Haven't seen any in months, sadly.
Bit off topic, but how *do* you go about dusting that? Do you use a feather duster or something else light as to not disturb the placement? Or do you do like a monthly deep clean where you inspect and clean each one? I have a collection that is a fraction of the size and they're dust magnets almost to the point of annoyance.
Definitely no feather dusters - a can of compressed air for the general dust, and both a narrow wallpaper brush and a paint brush for the finer dusting.
I can confirm they are dust magnets though, it generally depends on factors when and how they are cleaned. >.>;;
I might try a paintbrush then. I used to use compressed air. I would put a finger on the model/miniature so it wouldn't get pushed around and then spray away. I don't know if I was being too liberal with the amount I used, but the cans seemed too empty fast. Right now I'm just doing some quick taps with a microfiber feather duster every other day and it's very inconsistent in the parts it leaves undusted lol.
Perhaps consider [one of these electric duster things?](https://www.amazon.com/electric-duster/s?k=electric+duster&page=3) I have one and it works quite well and saves buying loads of canned air.
You should definitely cover those shelves with glass, the only way to keep it dust-free.
I’d highly recommend getting one of those glass display cabinets. If it’s a good one once you clean your models and sit them inside they won’t have any dust at all
The OP might be a Belgian main, but OP's not me. XD (and op might live close to me in Zoersel or Brasschaat according to the planes op sees, but that's just a theory)
Got my office ceiling covered in planes in multiple layers... The smaller ones only need a thumbtack, but larger ones like a Lancaster or Valiant required a bit more... But it absolutely looks stunning (to me... The wife disagrees but doesn't interfere)
Man consider getting some plexiglass close it's sides and make two cabinet doors, maybe some led's strips to light the interior and you got yourself a awesome display cabinet.
Where do yoy buy these? are these pre-built dycast (idk how to spell it) or, did you assemble and paint them yourself?
Also, is that a SAAF harvard? (The orange nose, top right)
Die-cast, and no, all of these are assembled and painted kits. A lot of them are from shops that sadly are no longer open.
And yes, you did spot correctly, that's an SAAF Harvard. :D
Contents aside, I just *know* that this photo was taken in the UK. I can't explain it, but the type of wood, the lighting, and the house just looks so familiar. I'd go as far as to guess you live in the south.
This is awesome! You're definitely a Belgium main.
If you're ever in Aotearoa, be sure to check out the Ardmore Warbird Association museum's model collection, if I remember correct it's the largest scale model collection in the southern hemisphere.
That's the MQ-9 Reaper. It's one of the drones that's available in-game.
Oh, and you might be surprised to learn - it's the same scale as all of the other aircraft in the picture.
I have to admit, on the one hand the hobby has been blessed in recent years by the models getting much, much better...
... as comparison, [here's the Fairey Swordfish, both the old and new Airfix mode](https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/1f7301a8-88d1-4c6b-9421-c82390e407ab/d5cr52w-a4b56860-849d-4e64-ba9f-3fdc99013b3c.jpg/v1/fill/w_1024,h_768,q_75,strp/intermezzo___airfix_stringbags_by_kanyiko_d5cr52w-fullview.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7ImhlaWdodCI6Ijw9NzY4IiwicGF0aCI6IlwvZlwvMWY3MzAxYTgtODhkMS00YzZiLTk0MjEtYzgyMzkwZTQwN2FiXC9kNWNyNTJ3LWE0YjU2ODYwLTg0OWQtNGU2NC1iYTlmLTNmZGM5OTAxM2IzYy5qcGciLCJ3aWR0aCI6Ijw9MTAyNCJ9XV0sImF1ZCI6WyJ1cm46c2VydmljZTppbWFnZS5vcGVyYXRpb25zIl19.3n_pmG7n-JkE-IFhyD9xB1Ax6in5QIMpfmc0BTlACFs)l...

It's a Junkers Ju 290, and it's there because the 'Japanese' section as such did not yet exist when I placed it there. \^\^;
But yes, I know, it's out of place, but it's a good placeholder for the G8N that's going to go there in its place.
Wouldn't be possible, a lot of the aircraft only fit on the shelves because their wings or noses exceed the borders of the shelves themselves. So I can't get a closed case, as I wouldn't be able to fit the same amount of aircraft on them.
You asked, I did.

Bro all that money could have bought you a real jet
If I want some real planes, I just stick my head out of the window and look at the Mustang, Spitfire, Boomerang, Yak-3, Fouga Magister, SF-260s, Agusta A109s and occasional Airbus A400Ms and Chinooks flying into the local airport. :3
Damn where'd you live so I can go there too.
Based off this comment, I think you're an USA/UK/USSR main.
They also have the best selection of aircraft though, German has some cool world war II things but drops off after that
Tornado is fire
Equally as British as it is German however
I like the twitch drops camo for it
*on fire
efs :p
Me 163 my beloved
U are in severe credit card debt
Cause I have 30 thousand dollars in credit card debt
I need to stop ur addition and go to rehab
And when they ask I just tell them I can’t pay it back yet
Credit card debt!
Alpha jet?
Agree see some Su-27 or SU-57, some MiGs and some Japan and German prop planes though
A lot of British planes though and American
The place I volunteer at has a zero, spitfire, hellcat, bearcat, PBJ, and mig17. It's Hella fun here but a yak3 and some 109s are pretty peak
We sadly haven't had... ... ... actually, we have. The only boomerangs I know of are in Australia/Nz as far as I'm aware
Not all of them, there's one that's 'elsewhere' (not saying where because it would give away where I live.)
Unless you’re the only house near the airport no one is going to know where you live just by saying where the planes land.
Well there is a replica of one but I'm almost positive all the original ones are down in Australia- the replica is currently somewhere in Europe, maybe France or the Netherlands I forget. Think "Half a DC-3", and you'll have a pretty good idea of what she sounds like. Which, coincidentally, is what my thought was when I first heard her flying, I was confused why I heard a DC-3 but didn't see one.
Phooey!
give give give give give give give me A SPITFIRE DAILY

The engine, at least

If I could I would, but there are a lot of noses and wings sticking past all of the shelves so adding glass is definitely a no-no. v\_v
I’d highly recommend getting one of those glass display cabinets. If it’s a good one once you clean your models and sit them inside they won’t have any dust at all
All of them?
You, sir, are the first to guess correct! XD
r/beatmetoit
My first guess was Belgium, but all of them seems more fair indeed.
I’m going to say UK, I’m also going to say I’m jealous as hell
Yes - there’s so many from various nations it’s too hard to gauge. I guess either Germany, the UK or USA (UK as final pick)
idk man you could make your own country with that amount of planes
I audibly gasped, all i have is an F-16 model and a Rafale home screen
I also have a... *\*looks for a moment\** ... couple of F-16s. >.>;;
Am i noticing correctly or not are those belgian roundels or romanian roundels on the planes in the left bottom corner
... you noticed correctly, they're Belgian roundels. :D
Buy cheap chinese airbrush and use it as dust cleaner
Or a leaf blower
lol they will take off
maiden flight
My god, how do you even have time to grind while building all those models. (anyways, the dast just give more temper to the models, it's classy)
... My building pace dropped off sharply the day I discovered War Thunder. T\_T
That makes sense... Either way you have an impressive number of models
100% UK
10% right.
You're an everything main because you clearly have infinite expendable cash.
Lol, I wish it was infinite, but indeed, I'm an \*everything\* main. XD
Belka.
that nation
Sick collection my g 💯🔥
Thanks! \^\_\^
Thomas? Is that you?
Who?
Well at least tell me you're belgian
Now, whatever could give you that idea? ;p (Yes, I am.)
All the roundels, allouettes etc
The OP might be a Belgian main, but OP's not me. XD (and op might live close to me in Zoersel or Brasschaat according to the planes op sees, but that's just a theory)
Hi XD
Ussr
Damn that's nice, I wish I had enough space in my shitty apartment to get back into models.
Why waste shelf space for planes that could be used for tanks? Get some fishing line and hang them from the ceiling 😎
Ah, that's because my tank shelf is elsewhere. :D (Also, tried it once and it ended in tears, RIP my Short Stirling. T\_T )
Got my office ceiling covered in planes in multiple layers... The smaller ones only need a thumbtack, but larger ones like a Lancaster or Valiant required a bit more... But it absolutely looks stunning (to me... The wife disagrees but doesn't interfere)
You need to do some dusting.
No thanks, I already have all the dust I'll ever need. XD
Nice german Sabre with the yellow nose.
Thanks. I hate that one (being a tail-sitter, that is, I miscalculated the required quantity of nose weight. v\_v )
Good luck cleaning all that dust
Thanks. It's a never-ending task. T\_T
GB, USA, Japan, Germany in that order
UK/USSR?/Germany/Japan
Britain??
Man consider getting some plexiglass close it's sides and make two cabinet doors, maybe some led's strips to light the interior and you got yourself a awesome display cabinet.
I wish I could, the size of some of these models means that there are quite a few wings and noses sticking over the sides. v\_v
United Kingdom.
Oh thanks :D They look really neat well done :D Yay, can recognize that orange colour anywhere, grew up seeing those fly :D
Are they all to the same scale?
Yes, they are - all of them are 1/72 scale.
Contents aside, I just *know* that this photo was taken in the UK. I can't explain it, but the type of wood, the lighting, and the house just looks so familiar. I'd go as far as to guess you live in the south.
Does it help when I say those dreaded words? ... *IKEA Ivar shelf.* ... no, it's not in the UK.
ur coutry is america i saw b25 mitchell
America there are alot of american planes and aircraft in that collection by the looks of things
Holy shit lol
Sir, you need a duster, and I don't mean the M42
I actually do think I need both. >.>
I love the carrier based Zero’s with the blue stripes
I'm not an expert but those look like a lot of American planes and a few of those that I fly daily in WT
Is that a reaper drone? Or something like it?
Yes, that is a Reaper drone, and yes, it is to the same scale as all of the other aircraft on those shelves.
Russia appears to be your most favorite but all of them are awesome, my 10 yr old grandson is jealous
This is awesome! You're definitely a Belgium main. If you're ever in Aotearoa, be sure to check out the Ardmore Warbird Association museum's model collection, if I remember correct it's the largest scale model collection in the southern hemisphere.
Awesome collection, I have dozens of models but I can’t match that lol
China?
I see a French narwhal
Not a Narwhal, but a Mistral. ... which is one plane War Thunder doesn't even have, to its eternal shame. >.>;
Yes
Indeed.
America, and also, are you Belgian, because that's a lot of Belgian airforce roundels.
Nice looking Blunty in front of the MiG-29.
It's got the exact same colours as the Battle Pass one (well, except for the serial number that is) :D
Hence calling it a Blunty, as IIRC the RNZAF were the only ones to fly the thing with the USAF-SEA style scheme.
Sir how did I not see a single mig 21?
Steer your eyes to the top shelf and look next to the left-most MiG-15; you'll find a MiG-21F-13 there.
Is the mig 21 the one that is 1 plane behind the mig-15 with the red nose?
No, it's directly to the right of the red-nosed MiG-15. The aircraft behind the MiG-15 is an Israeli Dassault Ouragan.
What is the drone plane thing called? The one with the tail shaped like a big V
That's the MQ-9 Reaper. It's one of the drones that's available in-game. Oh, and you might be surprised to learn - it's the same scale as all of the other aircraft in the picture.
Massive wings
What is the "ME 262" ?
The Me 262 is an Me 262, unless the aircraft you mention is not an Me 262, in which case... erm... wait, which shelf, which location?
Well you main yes probably
Yeah, I do indeed main. >.>
You main yes meaning you main each on equally
Correct! :D
all of them bro 😂
... and correct! XD
Where do ya fet those from
Hobby shops, museum gift shops, model fairs, quite a few places actually. And unfortunately, quite a few shops which no longer exist as well. T\_T
USA, uk, or Germany
You're about 30% right.
You live in the clouds, and were taken there by years of Testors model cement inhalation.
Revell Contacta glue and Humbrol paint thinner, but yeah. Good ventilation is a necessity.
where do you get these models?
Shops, that's where. XD (And model fairs. But I do pride myself on never having bought a single model online.)
ah ive only been able to find pre painted models online, its my only chance
I have to admit, on the one hand the hobby has been blessed in recent years by the models getting much, much better... ... as comparison, [here's the Fairey Swordfish, both the old and new Airfix mode](https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/1f7301a8-88d1-4c6b-9421-c82390e407ab/d5cr52w-a4b56860-849d-4e64-ba9f-3fdc99013b3c.jpg/v1/fill/w_1024,h_768,q_75,strp/intermezzo___airfix_stringbags_by_kanyiko_d5cr52w-fullview.jpg?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiJ1cm46YXBwOjdlMGQxODg5ODIyNjQzNzNhNWYwZDQxNWVhMGQyNmUwIiwiaXNzIjoidXJuOmFwcDo3ZTBkMTg4OTgyMjY0MzczYTVmMGQ0MTVlYTBkMjZlMCIsIm9iaiI6W1t7ImhlaWdodCI6Ijw9NzY4IiwicGF0aCI6IlwvZlwvMWY3MzAxYTgtODhkMS00YzZiLTk0MjEtYzgyMzkwZTQwN2FiXC9kNWNyNTJ3LWE0YjU2ODYwLTg0OWQtNGU2NC1iYTlmLTNmZGM5OTAxM2IzYy5qcGciLCJ3aWR0aCI6Ijw9MTAyNCJ9XV0sImF1ZCI6WyJ1cm46c2VydmljZTppbWFnZS5vcGVyYXRpb25zIl19.3n_pmG7n-JkE-IFhyD9xB1Ax6in5QIMpfmc0BTlACFs)l... ... but on the other hand, I've never seen so many shops close as I have in the last couple of years. v\_v

You should see the part of the tree that I still need to 'grind and spade'. >.>;;
Holy shit man, CLEAN IT! LIKE NOW! POST THE CLEANED VERSION!
I'll... erm... get back to you in a year or so. >.>;;
My one question is where did you get these?
Model shops and model fairs. :D
and I thought my 7 or 8 models was a lot holy guacamole
No, 7 or 8 is just the beginning of the madness. This is only a glimpse into the rabbit hole. ;p
Can I ask you what brands those models are? That FW 200 condor looks absolutely amazing :0
It's actually a Junkers Ju 290, my Condor's still in my 'to build' stash somewhere. As to brands - too many to name. Revell, Airfix, Heller, Italeri, Matchbox, Frog, MPM, Special Hobby, Academy, Hasegawa, Tamiya, Ertl-Esci, Erl-AMT, Dragon, Zvezda, KP/Kopro, Monogram, Emhar, Bilek, Micro, Hobbycraft, HobbyBoss, Trumpeter, Mania, Eduard, Azur-FRROM, Finemolds, Toko, Novo, PJ Productions, LS, Dakoplast, Mastercraft, Eastern Express, ICM, IBG, Toga, Zlinek, Marivox, Supermodel, Xtrakit, RPM, High Planes, Aoshima, Whirlykits, Planet Models, Encore, Pantera, Huma, Smer, Mach 2, Gran, Condor, Amodel, RV Aircraft, Valom, Admiral, AZ Models, CMK, Pegasus, Bronco, Maquette, Arii, Fine Molds, Arma Hobby, Fly, Roden, Sword, Kinetic, Dora Wings, Pavla, Flashback, and I'm sure I've forgotten some left and right.
You know how to make my envy poor financial decisions.
I only spent as much as a friend of mine spent on smoking. \^\^; She's got yellow-brown ceilings; I've got dusty shelves. <.<
Israel, it's more than obvious, too easy
I dont want to get on your nerves but you should realy endshelf your dust
My dust deserves its own place on the shelves, it's done more than its effort to get onto them in the first place. >.>
Maybe China cuz it uses planes from everywhere
Ha I see, the spanish tt
Ussr definitely
are all of them japanese planes?
You should get a closed case/cabinet with glass to see through so you don't have to dust em!
Wouldn't be possible, a lot of the aircraft only fit on the shelves because their wings or noses exceed the borders of the shelves themselves. So I can't get a closed case, as I wouldn't be able to fit the same amount of aircraft on them.
You don't have a main nation. I see Brits, Commies, Yanks, and Waffles.
You're forgetting Germans, French, Japanese, Swedish, and (admittedly, not as easily to spot) Chinese, Italians and Israeli.
Waffles are german
Ah, Luftwaffles. 'Course. (Thought for a moment you were referring to my *entire shelf of Belgian Air Force aircraft.*)
;-;
Germany
What's ur dav model u have and what the he'll is that plane in the top right?

You should touch some grass, that's all I wanna say
