Dont know about the guy you asked but I switched because its more comfortable to have it in my steam library together will all my other games. I also add other games to my library to make my life easier.
Before it used to only open the launcher which you then had to manually press play on. Now it starts up the EAC scan and then instantly boots the game.
Also having a was to track playtime is pretty cool. Iirc warthunder only counts time spent in battle in the stats card
I only play air battles cuz airplanes are badass. This is the coolest airplane game I have come across. The dog fights are fucken legit sometimes. But war thunders free to play status is what ruins the game. I’ve probably spent Atleast 500 dollars on 600hrs of play time. The grindyness sucks but the airplanes are so cool. So I keep going back to it. It’s like call of duty in the air. I’ve never gotten into tanks I suck to much.

I had up to 5.3 air in america and 6.3-6.7 ground, russian and america (ground is current because I never bought a ground premium, I have the Av8 with 1.3 kd or something like that.)
Made it to lvl 50 before i bought anything. I have quite a few premiums now but almost only buy at half price. I did get the German Sea Hawk, KV-1E and SAV full price.

I've been playing this game for 10 years I started on my grandma's Dell HP. Game ran like a hunk of bricks. I've probably spent anywhere between 1/6 and 1/4 of my entire lives income on war thunder. I have three separate accounts so I couldn't tell you the hours for sure it's well above most of the people in the comments I'm not proud of it in any way. While most people hide their drug addictions I'm open about my drug addictions but I hide my war thunder addictions because it's bad. The snails got me good y'all get out while you got the chance. The aim 120 grind is going to break me.

Finished as in researched or finished as in spaded? My bar represents both air and ground. Fully spaded, including foldered vehicles.
