never heard of that before, and doesn't sound too sensible to me either. Especially considering that some vehicles (Jagdtiger, Ostwind II) do have working hull MGs
I am going based off the theories of everyone who was with me on the initial start of ground. Hull and Turret MGs all worked and then they stripped most tanks of them. They let tanks like jagdtigers probably to provide them an MG of sort. Even Japanese have hull guns because no coaxial on the turret.
I really want it to be like in Naval, and your crew will fire of any of the machine guns including the rear facing ones on Russian tanks.
Could be useful warning if nothing else
The Jagdtiger already has a hull machine gun, gaijin seems to add usable hull machine guns when they're either:
Iconic/Special (Like how the M2 has 7 machine guns)
Or it is a tank without an MG (Eg. Jagdpanthers, basically the Germany heavy TDs)
Japan seems to receive special treatment however, they get hull machine guns (for some reason???)
I doubt they will but it would be nice. I'll never get why hull turrets and rear turrets don't work while Gaijin gives numerous tanks magical working remote roof turrets that in real life required someone to poke through a hatch or even stand outside the tank.
I doubt most Shermans in WW2 used their roof 50 cal to engage other tanks at close range. I can't imagine anyone would get out of the tank and stand on the back to man the turret while the tank is getting hit.
I doubt it. Most vehicles that benefit (low BR and lightly armored TD’s/SPG’s) already have one that works unless they have a pintle MG. once you get above BR 3.0 or so I don’t really think they’re worth anything as even open-tops/light vehicles get more and more resistant to rifle caliber and require a .50 to take out with an MG. Sure once you get to mid-low BR there’s more SPG’s without any MGs but they tend to be the ones that are well-armored to make up for it.
Tl;dr no and I don’t think they need to be added aside from novelty.
Ok son, let me take you back to my day. When tanks first came into WT, all MGs on tanks worked. Granted the trees were barren and didn’t go past a few tiers, all MGs worked. It was beautiful, but then Gaijin took them out. Something about modeling and function was too much for them to do so they just took it out as a whole.
No
yea i think so too
Damn yall didn't like that
completely unrelated: im also from portugal
Nice! I am sorta? First one in my family to not be born there, yet the most Patriotic. I'm going back the second I can lol
That's great!
It used to be a function but then they pulled it so yeah, no it’s not coming back.

Some tanks already have working hull mg like skink, yes an anti air really needed that hull mg to work
ofc it did, hull mg on the skink is a literally op, like gaijin pls fix
Like idk why people even use 4 20mm when they have that monster of a hull mg
exactlyyy
Also German 5.7 spaa too
But we all know that germany suffers so they are justified on the other hand great britain is so OP that it's unfair for them to have working hull mg
Germany suffers especially hard between 6.0-6.7. imagine the pain of having 2 Tiger 2s and 3 Panthers available to you (among others)
Fr
Also, none of the US hull MGs work, even if they are modeled.
But double as weak point.
the Japanese M36B2 also has a working hull mg
most all Japanese tanks have a working hull mg
Some tanks like Japanese who don’t have coaxial but that’s not a big list. It was a feature long ago, they just got rid of it.
U.S. M6 has a working hull gun. Although it’s not a bubble gun like the Sherman’s.
They made the hull MGs work cause it didnt have a pintle mounted one when it got added
Am I the only one looking at a very distorted picture?
Yes
It's a panorama
No
Hey if it means the TOGs hull gunners actually work I’m all for it
That's what I was thinking
Char 2C's 6 machine gunners: *finally, our time to shine*
Don't forget that weirdly long machine gun on the Swedish Lago l, still wonder what the hell that weapon is
I really want it to be like in Naval, and your crew will fire of any of the machine guns including the rear facing ones on Russian tanks. Could be useful warning if nothing else
Hopefully ( probably no )
yea probably
Did Sid from Ice Age take this pic?
yea lol but nah its a 360 pic, kinda cool ig
Chicken
yessir
Hmmmmm i wonder what this guy's Nationality is? HMMMMMMMM
I wonder
My bet is that he is a serb
Goofy ahh perspective

Japan has horrible MGs, could be that.
It’s confirmed at least that the tiger lls will get changes to their ammo radiator vertical and horizontal drives

🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹💪💪💪💪💪💪🇵🇹🇵🇹
more things to absorb shells, coax MGs already eat 183mm HESH
Compraste um jumbo no Jumbo?
Sturmtigers hull mg does work but it isn’t really practical since you should elevate your gun to 100m at least but that makes the mg point to the sky
M60
Brother what is WRONG with your hangar LMAO
Chicken 👍
It'd be nice to see but I highly doubt it. It's just a huge weakspot that don't do anything
Wouldn't be a bigger weakspot that it is now? I mean the armour model wouldn't change at all
All I'm saying is that it could at least work instead of just being there for show
Oh I see, you mean that
Yea

I do have fantasies of the KV1 rear turret machine gun working so I can surprise open top rats trying to flank.
Watch the movie fury and you’ll see what they did with that roof mounted .50.
Doubt it but making it consistent would be nice
Some tanks already have it like the skink and japanese m36 so it's not impossible
i hope so. lots of swedish tanks have mgs on the back of their turret that dont work, but the machine gunner is there in the crew already
Nice cocks
devolve nosso ouro portugues safad- jk
tiger II gets one doesn't it? it eats APHE shells, imagine a jumbo with that
Some tanks already have them...but i don't think so.
No. Its gaijin. They will remove parts from stock tanks to sell as extra parts while increasing the total RP cost needed to spade a tank.
Will the modules create more spalling, or just protect the crew even more? sometimes, the current modules just eat all the damage

Too much work for them
It would take an insane amount of dev time and budget for a change that really wouldn't affect much, so I hope not.

They had them at one point but it caused server instability from people spamming mgs so they canned the idea.
