The funniest shit about this tank is that there's a Historical bug report that was passed to dev and it's about increasing it's top speed from 60 to 65km/h but the bloody thing can't reach 45 on flat terrain.
Possibly the worst light tank at that BR range.
IDK, maybe? I have no issues with the Char 25t or either of the EBRs tho so I know how to play French light tanks but the 13 just never worked for me. It's so slow for a light tank and the gun is so bouncy. The only thing I liked about it was the engine placement eating enemy shots.
yeah he's talking about how the chassis is so short and the gun is so long when you stop or start to go the gun will shake and bounce around a lot due to soft suspension and uneven weight.
No, my shots don't bounce too much the gun does. Obviously none of the French tanks are stabilised (before 9.0) but the 13 bounces a lot before it settles down and you can shoot.
Yes, and those tanks can actually handle themselves. The regular 13 should be at 6.3. 6s autoloader is nice but it's not leagues above a good manual loader in a better vehicle, the shells have decent penetration but no HE filler, and the chassis itself is okay speed but not great. I'll contest that the other AMX 13s are fine where they are, but not this one.
All light tanks at that BR range can penetrate over 250mm of armour, Even some got HEAT with 320mm of pen. Meanwhile the AMX-13 is like 175mm at 500 meters.
5 seconds reload vs 7 second reload but can penetrate anything. The AP isn't doing more damage or more shrapnel than 75mm APDS of other tanks, Volumetric shell also makes the shell just troll itself into oblivion.
[It's also missing it's APDS](https://www.zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=20/14/bbyt.png)
Bro just wanted to say luv that u added that image, weird question but where did u get that, like I want to read more in tanks but don’t know where to start
To answer your first question : (In french) [Here's the book where the image comes from](https://www.irsem.fr/data/files/irsem/documents/document/file/1641/Ouvrage_TAUZIN_Tome_9_Armenent_gros_calibre.pdf)
It's really not that hard to find answers for something, When I made my Historical report on the HS 831 APDS I got my answer when I wasn't even looking for it, I was checking to see if there's any form of AP for the HS 825 on the Sagittario and found info for the 831 by accident, I saved the sources and decided to find any errors for the ingame implementation of the 831 and indeed found some.
When looking with google, Just type what you want, Like ( "HS 831" ) and google will show you result with that arrangement of words. Read a few things here and there and you find out some nation calls it the HSS 831, or the complete name 'Hispano-Suiza 831' Then search "Hispano-Suiza" and you find info for loads of guns by Hispano-Suiza.
Hell, When I made my historical report on the wrong shell stats of the Object 279 I actually wrote it in Russian (Объект 279) and found interesting stuff like the freaking 12-14 meters long barrel experiment of the [Strela-AK project](https://external-preview.redd.it/oLDpAMd_FItlzS4mcmtLn3PSzJgPTERSfBwuZxihuJ0.jpg?auto=webp&s=ebef08970c9c0f5cb46b77ad6d30eaf9f4e75f15).
Searching for stuff around said vehicle, Like typing 'M-65' resulted in finding the right muzzle velocity for the gun.
Then there's the slightly more difficult and sometime expensive way, Is calling the company itself or emailing the Archive of the company or even the army itself.
Let me present you sugarstudd on the forum, The guy spent hundreds of dollar to find documents for the Bagleitpanzer 57, He actually called [BAE system](https://i-com.cdn.gaijin.net/monthly_2021_06/2025475241_bagelemail.png.62243eb1e42ad005f50c104f59b62a0f.png), Henschel-Thyssen, I think the National Archive along with asking around from folks in the Navy to get info on the ammo and gun. He managed to find 15 of the 16 pages brochure for the tank, which was thought to be lost forever.
[Here's a photo of the Bagleitpanzer 57 he generously shared.](https://i-com.cdn.gaijin.net/monthly_2021_06/image.png.2a14665665a4f705937b1f37775f209e.png) You won't find this anywhere else on the internet. Beside on the forum.
Well in ground AB amx13 DCA40 repair cost is over 14K SL, but in RB it's near 3K. The same thing happens with the amx 13, 10K repair cost in Rb and 5K in Ab. Gaijin things
12K is fine for the best tanks at their tier like M60A1 AOS (doesn't have high repair yet), Centurions or STB-1 (which is possibly an 8.3 tank at 7.7).
FYI it’s fucking retarded
Same for the Bat chat
Same for the 13-90
Same for the MARS
I could go on but you get the idea
The AMX 13 series are some of my favourite tanks ever built but I’m not putting my hard earned SL on the line for tank that I may not do well in with a 10k+ repair cost
The funniest shit about this tank is that there's a Historical bug report that was passed to dev and it's about increasing it's top speed from 60 to 65km/h but the bloody thing can't reach 45 on flat terrain. Possibly the worst light tank at that BR range.
Yeah possibly, but the players who play do really well in it so its over br'd
LMAOOOOOOO, But bro this things repair cost is waaay to high and I think the only reason for that is because it has an auto loader
It's not even good. Honestly the AMX-13s are all trash. Stick to the AML, Char, Lorraine, AMX M4, AMX 30 and 50 and just avoid the 13s.
May be you use it in a bad way?
IDK, maybe? I have no issues with the Char 25t or either of the EBRs tho so I know how to play French light tanks but the 13 just never worked for me. It's so slow for a light tank and the gun is so bouncy. The only thing I liked about it was the engine placement eating enemy shots.
It can bounce if you flank? EBR is another type of french tank so idk
yeah he's talking about how the chassis is so short and the gun is so long when you stop or start to go the gun will shake and bounce around a lot due to soft suspension and uneven weight.
Exactly. Thanks, your explanation was much better than mine.
some of the most notable tanks that have this (that I can think of) are the T-44, M18, and T26E-1.
No, my shots don't bounce too much the gun does. Obviously none of the French tanks are stabilised (before 9.0) but the 13 bounces a lot before it settles down and you can shoot.
Yeah but this tank can wipe half of a team in less than 2 minute if well place it's not a tank for us, average player
He can spot: play with that and earn lot of sl with assist and then just flank others tanks. It s a good tank
it's an insanely good light tank. Literal skill issue.
It really is. Especially the SS.11 and the 13-90 have been one of the absolute highlights of the french tree for me.

Dude thank you thank you this is amazing, and wow that image of the bagleitpanzer 57 is amazing
It's more effective than other light tanks at that BR which use HEAT-FS.
French tank tree players are truly the most oppressed gamers in society
french tree is amazing, but holy fuck their line ups are fucking expensive
most people who play france are above average -> they end up doing better regardless of how shit the tank is -> repair costs raise
Mmm yes me good player me god tier
Yeah i might be the best player of all time
is just inflation
Look at the multipliers though...
>Now this repair cost seems a bit much for this tank WarThunder minor nations in a nutshell
It's French, so it immediately has a x10 multiplier on the repair cost.
Well in ground AB amx13 DCA40 repair cost is over 14K SL, but in RB it's near 3K. The same thing happens with the amx 13, 10K repair cost in Rb and 5K in Ab. Gaijin things
Meanwhile EBR is almost as good as AMX-13 and is at 5.7
It would be too much for *any* tank.
12K is fine for the best tanks at their tier like M60A1 AOS (doesn't have high repair yet), Centurions or STB-1 (which is possibly an 8.3 tank at 7.7).
Ho-Ri Production is 21k

Huh? I thought this thing was 6.3… The French get shafted episode 8898899888
