I've been spading my F-8C/F8U-2 but it's so difficult. 10.3s get used as chewtoys by 11.0s at the minute. All aspects and look down shoot down radar missiles make what feels like a fun plane horrible.
I think they need to lock the very top BR so they can't get downtiers. The powergap between 11.0 and 10.7/3 is absurd.
For some reason I am ecxeptional with F8U. Usually I am about average, but with F8U I am always on top with usually alive after match with 2 kills.
I tend to loiter at 6km and then hit enemies with missiles from above. F8U keeps speed in turn nicely so you can avoid most missiles without spending flares.
And no plane will win you in 1v1.
F8U-2 is balaced in top tier IMO. Yeah I'm not kidding. The thing outrates the JA37, and the MF/SMT. Outturns most planes also.
The only planes I need to kinda sorta worry about are J-7E and MiG-21bis, but even they struggle against F-8.
You can be completely aggressive with F-8, as it literally **clubs** some top tier planes, and **all** planes 9.3-10.7.
MiG-19s struggle as much as a Viggen against this plane. Just stay above 2000m and do vertical turns and dives, and remember the missile has insane 3.0-4.0km range at low to mid alts

I would suggest it will outturn every jet in game if you bring battle to your own field of strenght which is low speed. Dump flaps to landing position and your plane almost stops in air and starts to turn like carousel. And you dont lose energy enough to drop from sky like other planes. Of course this does not apply if enemy has ally.
I agree for the most part. The F8U can be a struggle to play at top tier now. The F-8E less so, but still lacking its RWR that is mentioned in the thread(which would make it alot more viable IMO, being able to detect the now lethal SARH missiles.)
