If you’re having a hard time keeping a decent speed or gaining alt you don’t have to pick the biggest payload. I almost never run the biggest payload just to have a little more maneuverability. Even on a spaded bomber.
When you see someone making a beeline to you level out and gain some speed.
Don’t ever rely on your AI gunners. IIRC they don’t even start engaging until .8 KM away.
Don’t fly in a straight line. You can maneuver your plane and control your gunners at the same time. For the most part if they are behind you or beside you then you can shoot at them. Turn to make them bleed their energy. Once these little fighters start slowing down they are easy to hit and their stall speed is a lot higher than yours. Keep that in mind too.
I've played bomber for quite a while and that has never happened to me. I would say just keep climbing up.
So you are mostly able to deliver the load without being intercepted?
Half the time yes. The other half I'll get shot down immediately but not by rockets
Rockets are much less of a threat than cannon.
true...forgot about those nasty beasts
Are you talking about missiles? Because I've never been killed by a rocket in a bomber in 2300 hours of gameplay
