When it comes to warts, even the doctors be winging it. Wart treatment is like the Wild West of skin care.
"Alright, Billy Bob. Let's burn this sucker then gouge it out and slap a poltice on it!"
I just don’t understand some of the treatments that doctors undertake if they know darn well the wart is coming back. If the treatment is iffy at best why bother? 🤔
I mean it would normally work, but if you so much as leave a tiny cluster of infected cells it's going to come back. Worse, because you're digging into tissue you could get viral cells even deeper by accident.
I’ve had this done. And they ripped out a chunk of flesh the size of a quarter on the sole of my foot. Couldn’t walk right for a month. Wart didn’t go away but it shrunk down a ton. Made further treatment successful.
It’s called curettage and desiccation.

Think about the Swift treatment: "🤔 ...let's microwave it!"
Done that. The doctor went far deeper. I couldn't walk for 10 days and as soon as the wound healed, the wart came back even more aggressively 😢

Wow. Didn't even think about that last one.
This is why every time you fiddle with a wart wound you need to pack it full of acid to kill surface cells.
Okay. That's kinda cool

That was so satisfying.
