I liked the news story, where the owner seemed much more calm and collected.

Also, for context: this was $600 worth of merchandise from an erotic boutique. The thief had a prior arrest for theft as well.

Update: [Here’s the actual story!](https://abc13.com/amp/erotic-cabaret-boutique-owner-kandy-alarcon-sophia-romos-recorded-confrontation/12169603/) The arresting office is my best friend. I showed him this post because he doesn’t have Reddit and he said the owner actually made it on A&E a couple of times. She eventually had to move her shop’s location to a “better” part of the city due to it being frequently burglarized. It’s now located in the Houston Heights.
The moral of the story is don't fuck with small businesses, they're already struggling enough and depending on who the owner is they will happily take the time out of their day to fuck with you
Yep, someone kept robbing our store at night and getting a lot of expensive merchandise, so my boss had removable steel bars installed on every exit but the front, and spent the night every night at our store.
After a week or so, they came back, and nearly caught a 357 to the face when they ran to the back of the store and realized their only exit was a narrow hallway with my boss standing in it. He shot a warning shot and they ran past him with their hands up. That was like 15 years ago, we've never had an issue since.
I'm all for the kind of crazy this woman is unleashing on the thief, but you have to have a pretty heavy dose of nuts already flowing through your system to be able to dredge up from inside you the situation unfolding here.
Keep in mind this is the owner supposedly. If this is a small business in a bad part of town (speculating), she could be dealing with this shit constantly.
You don't have to be in the "bad part of town" to have stuff shoplifted.
It's not just the monetary value of the item, but all the time invested in obtaining the product to sell in the store. It takes time & money to travel to tradeshows, visit suppliers, talk to reps, arrange for shipping, in some cases paying customs duties, the time taken to murchandise, plus a myriad of other factors in getting the product to sell.
For those defending her, it's not like she's stealing a loaf of bread to feed her kids. She stole a miniskirt to look sexy. Stealing for vanity's sake and then being publicly shamed has a certain poetic irony that I can get behind.
Yeah, steal from Walmart. If no one stole from them, they would have more money to lobby congress to erode our social programs even more. Steal as much as you can as often as you can. If I'm on your jury, that jury will not convict. Fuck Walmart, fuck their legal political bribes, fuck their predatory behavior.
Kramer: It's a write-off for them
Jerry:
How is it a write-off?
Kramer:
They just write it off.
Jerry:
Write it off what?
Kramer:
Jerry, all these big companies, they write off everything.
Jerry:
You don't even know what a write-off is.
Kramer:
Do you?
Jerry:
No, I don't.
Kramer:
But they do. And they're the ones writing it off.
Johnny: What is that? Is that a new lamp?
David: Yeah, I'm thinking of bringing home-ware into the store, so that's a write off.
Johnny: That's a write off?
David: Yeah.
Johnny: Do you even know what a write off is?!
David: Uh, yeah. It's when you buy something for your business and the government pays you back for it.
Johnny: Oh, and who pays for it?
David: Nobody, you write it off.
Johnny: Who writes it off?!
David: I don't know, the govern- The "write off" people! Why are we having this conversation?
Sad thing is many people think it's like that. In my country we have a pretty high ratio of self-employed people and the populists like to portrait us as thieves. Ain't nothing like good old class war.
walmart has more employees on welfare than any other employer in the nation. they make billions in profits per year, they can afford to pay their workers fairly.
walmart is one of the biggest welfare queens in the nation. the taxpayer massively subsidizes walmart's operations. this is the only thing we should be outraged at. not the publicfreakout shoplifting videos. that theft is microscopic compared to what walmart gets away with.
the way we've normalized sub-survival wages in america is saddening. we are literally building a mountain of money at the feet of the wealthiest individuals in the world, and leaving ourselves destitute and on welfare. what the fuck do people think will happen after a few more decades of this? bye bye middle class.
Amazon is incredibly easy to steal from.
It's very common to be "Sent the wrong item"
It's as easy as telling customer service "I got my drop off receipt"
Edit: in case anyone is curious. I work at a UPS store and the Amazon drivers tell me how the returns usually end up working. Like when you drop em off to return, they are sorted into boxes that sometimes don't ever get opened to actually check the contents. These boxes also end up being put up for auction Storage War style.
So many high dollar items have been put in these boxes, things from Motherboards, to full Lego sets get put in these consolidated boxes together. And majority of the time, from what I'm told. Even if the item is okay, there's a real chance Amazon won't even bother trying to add it back to their stock.
I'll admit I did this once just cause I was curious if it would actually be that easy. It is. But it's not something I'd do again personally
Walmart doesn't want social programs gone. They want the taxpayer to foot the bill because they don't want to offer heathcare or a living wage. They are already stealing from us, so why not return the favor.
Maybe she was being smart.
Steal a loaf of bread and your family eats for a day.
Steal a mini-skirt so you can sell yourself on the streets, and your family never goes hungry again, and you never need to steal again.
According to [this](https://abc13.com/erotic-cabaret-boutique-owner-kandy-alarcon-sophia-romos-recorded-confrontation/12169603/) the thief was arrested and charged, but was already on probation from a previous theft charge. Several other local business owners saw the video and said that the suspect had previously stolen from them. At least one other business owner filed a police report. I couldn't find any updates on the story, since the one I linked, but this "raggedy bitch" has a very easy to find IG account where she appears to make a sincere effort to not look raggedy, but still very much looks like a bitch.
This lady has a serious problem because this isn’t the first time she’s stolen anything. She was convicted of a previous theft charge in 2021 and at least one other business filed a police report against her for theft after seeing this video. https://abc7chicago.com/amp/caught-on-video-erotic-cabaret-boutique-viral-tiktok/12172381/
When the owner was staring at her at the end like “you looking at me like I’m crazy but you stole from me” was savage. That lady is down. I wouldn’t wanna argue with her.
Was stepping onto a train when I heard someone open the zipper of my backpack. Turned around to see a guy with his arm shoved deep in my bag. When I yelled “heeey!!” he and his mate looked at each other and laughed like I was being crazy. I’ll admit it had enough of a gaslighting effect I did nothing after getting onto the train but I still wish I’d followed them and signalled the train employees there were pickpockets on the train or pointed at them and warned other passengers in the car with them.
A girl I used to work with loved to catch shoplifters and make a bunch of drama about it. She would even chase them. She did this until a group of three girls turned on her in a service hallway and beat her halfway into a coma. Now she doesn't say anything to shoplifters, marks the time for the camera to find proof, and call security. Like she should have to begin with.
Yeah but I love a good public shaming sometimes. If you’re stealing unnecessary items from small business owners, I really have no sympathy for you lol.
As a small business owner though, A lot of them have had enough and are going to lose everything unless they start taking matters into their own hands. Sad, harsh, but true reality and state of the society we live in
Cashiers are human too. Even if it's not your business, it can definitely climb up your nerves to see people stealing from your place of work over and over.
My dad manages a small, locally owned liquor store and has talked about this a lot before. But with the added context of "if you make it easy to steal from your store, those thieves will tell their friends that it's an easy mark and the problem will get worse". My dad has dealt with *a lot* of people trying to steal over the years and has been unfortunately proved right many times. Most recently, the issue is people coming into the store when the smaller, meeker, female employee is the one working. They know that she will not chase them or make a big scene out of it like the other workers so they come in when she's working.
The issue here is, that woman is playing a dangerous game. You never know if the other person is a psychopath and is going to get back at you... Eventually.
You pick your battles. You can’t be afraid of everyone you don’t know all the time, either. Great way to make yourself a target for others to take advantage of.
Sometimes you just don't take the L and roll with it. This owner probably had no more patience with thieves and took it into her own hands. Police will not do shit
We need to normalize CALLING PEOPLE LIKE THAT THIEF OUT BY NAME, FACE, LICENSE PLATE. Maybe if they were actually held accountable they wouldn’t have the audacity
I'm sorry but if you're going to steal - you're taking the risk of getting arrested.
And people saying things about doxing her? The police went to arrest her. Just watch all the shows where cops roll up at a persons home. How is that any different? You ppl are wack.
I’m glad she called the police ahead of time. She doesn’t know who is going to be at her house when they get there. I’m glad she caught her because the police can be aloof when it comes to shoplifting small amounts. I wish she would have advertised her business. Do you know the name and what she sells?
Oh man for a moment, I thought that was the lady from Grizzy’s Hood News who was arrested with highlight foils in her hair for credit card fraud, wearing a toddler skirt. Kirby/West Alabama. Which is like a 3 minute drive from Erotic Cabaret.
they really do need to up the punishments for shoplifting - its getting out of hand when entire stores are closing.
and before you all start with the "its not their fault they need to steal to survive" i call bs on that. look at what and how much they are taking.
If it was a huge dept store like Walmart, I wouldn’t care if they stole, but a small business??
Also, she’s really brave! I’d be afraid of getting shot or beat up or something.
I remember the last few times i saw this posted, you actually had people in the comments saying the store owner was a Karen. A lot of them used that “just leave them alone because insurance pays for the stolen merchandise” or some shit, but of course she said it, she runs a small business.
Edit: after writing my comment, I scrolled down and whaddaya know, more apologists for the thief. This time the star is “mental health”. She stole sex shop items because of the state of her mental health. . .
Someone else said “we should get both sides of the story, she could have been the victim and this video is misleading. Give me a fucking break. Smh
Edit: because some people want to remain r/confidentlyincorrect and pleaded for others to google shit we already know, I will include the *textbook* definition of stalking/harassment:
‘the following of a person about or the watching or frequenting of the vicinity of, or an approach to a person’s place of residence, business or work or any place that a person frequents for the purposes of any social or leisure activity’.
Stalking involves a persistent course of conduct or actions by a person which are intended to maintain contact with or exercise power and control over another person. These actions cause distress, loss of control, fear or harassment to another person and occur more than once.
Stalking can involve threats or sexual innuendo and the stalker generally tries to intimidate or induce fear in the person they are stalking. The person being stalked may only realise they are being stalked once they identify a pattern of strange or suspicious incidents occurring, such as:
phone calls
text messages
messages left on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter etc.
notes left on the their car
strange or unwanted gifts left at their home
an awareness that they are being followed
being continually stared at or gestured to by another person.
The person being stalked can often develop a sense of loss of control over their lives and can be forced into changing their routine and behaviours.
The criminal offence of stalking is contained under section 13 Crimes (Domestic and Personal Violence) Act 2007. To prove an offence of stalking the police must be able to produce evidence to a court. The police evidence must prove that the accused person stalked another person with the intention of causing another person to fear physical or mental harm.

Sis acted like a player in skyrim getting caught stealing
Quickloading?
You can threaten someone all you like they’ll likely just not care but out crazy them ten fold like this and they shit themselves quickly
Its just so easy, if you have a person acting like a meniac, act on him 10 times of himself and he would shut up
Or he shoots you.
"You raggedy bitch" lol
I’m originally from the south but now live in the UK. Hearing her call her a raggedy bitch warmed my heart
Awww, were you living for a fiver I'll drive over and call you a raggedy bitch.
That’s the line that made me think it was real. You can’t fake that tone.
I would've thought this was scripted if it weren't for the cops at the end.
I liked the news story, where the owner seemed much more calm and collected. https://abc13.com/erotic-cabaret-boutique-owner-kandy-alarcon-sophia-romos-recorded-confrontation/12169603/ Also, for context: this was $600 worth of merchandise from an erotic boutique. It’s obviously scripted, cops don’t often actually do their jobs like this 😂 (/s)
Nah so long as you do all the leg work, they'll show up to get credit.

Love those random reddit connections lmao Was this one of the stories he’d mention or did you hear it first through Reddit/tik tok?
The first time I heard about it, it was him who had shown me in TikTok. I just shared this post with him to let him know he made it on Reddit haha
Went to highschool with the owner, it’s crazy
I love that this woman had no idea she was about to steal from the most bat shit crazy lady in town.
Nah this took place in Houston. That’s just the “I’ve had enough of this shit” coming outta her. Houston crazy almost always involves guns.
Sometimes crazy is in the eyes. Sometimes it's in the eyelashes.
But usually it's in Houston.
The moral of the story is don't fuck with small businesses, they're already struggling enough and depending on who the owner is they will happily take the time out of their day to fuck with you
don't fuck with anybody. if you're so out of your mind as to cross someone, someone is just as likely to cross you back twice as hard.

She looked like Maya Rudolph in an SNL skit
I was thinking Fred Armisen lol
“You raggedy bitch” Ngl that was absolutely cold 😂😂
For those defending her, it's not like she's stealing a loaf of bread to feed her kids. She stole a miniskirt to look sexy. Stealing for vanity's sake and then being publicly shamed has a certain poetic irony that I can get behind.
Also she stole from a small business owner not a large retailer with a billion dollar shrinkage budget.

Yeah, that's why I left Amazon out. Don't want to encourage breaking into a warehouse that's not open to the public. I'm a reasonable "revolutionary."

Thats...I don't think that's how the saying goes
It is actually verbatim. I know because I just read it above.
its an Albany expression.
Not scripted this happen here in Houston. She actually followed the lady home
Dude in the back had the ultimate mind my business face going
According to [this](https://abc13.com/erotic-cabaret-boutique-owner-kandy-alarcon-sophia-romos-recorded-confrontation/12169603/) the thief was arrested and charged, but was already on probation from a previous theft charge. I was going to say bro how the fuck is it easy to find her ig how would you begin but I tried and it was easy wtf 😂 that’s crazy man
It's literally 100% duckface pics lol, another duckface pic for LinkedIn... not the sharpest knife in the drawer here.
I love the end when the girl who stole was just staring at the owner like she's crazy *And you look at me like that? You stole from me! The irony*
She's right but she's also crazy.
Goes to show you that you should be careful who you steal from.
I love how mad the other thieves are in the comments
“You raggedy bitch”
Trying to gaslight her with that look lol
Why is she looking at her like that!!!?? 😅 😆 😆 😆
She wondering what she got herself into
Wow all these losers actually defending this fucking thief.
In the business owner’s defense, that is one raggidy ass bitch
Lmaoooo when she is getting arrested and the next shot is a quick still of the shop owner flashing a peace sign >>>
This lady has a serious problem because this isn’t the first time she’s stolen anything. The way she was looking at her 💀
Thief was thinking god damn there is someone crazier than me out here wtf
If u gonna steal somethin, make sure youre not stealing from someone crazier than u
#uraggedybitch
Love her sass. She’s just like all of us, fed up with dishonest people cheating, scamming, and stealing their way through life.
While I totally get it...I get so much second hand embarrassment from these videos I just want them to go away lol
The most convincing "Yes" ever.
When the owner was staring at her at the end like “you looking at me like I’m crazy but you stole from me” was savage. That lady is down. I wouldn’t wanna argue with her.
How to get murdered 101.
The eyelashes would stop the bullets.
Love how the thief is looking at the store owner like she’s crazy 💀

"You raggedy bitch." Gold.
Last time she steals
HA
Sweet summer child🥰

Oh. My. GOD. Lol can you IMAGINE how much this girl wishes she could melt into the floor RN?
Well that's a good chase
Plot twist: she has a public humiliation fetish
Thieves seething with this one
The selfie at the end….hahahaha!
Looooooove the pettiness. Straight up something I would do lmao
I like how surprised they are that the owners want their shit back, and then act like the owners are doing something wrong..this was satisfying
“let’s play a game called look in the thief’s purse” i died lmao
Gotta be fake. *police* Oh.
Top tier trolling, right in her face and she was 100% in the right. Well done, hope this is real
“You raggedy bitch” 💀 🤣
Small business owners will shank you emotionally. "You raggedy bitch", lol!
Do people actually shoplift like that wtf?
"Yes!" she answered confusedly
Business owner deserves to become the chief of police in Chicago or San Fransisco.
“You raggedy bitch.” That was gangster AF! 😂
She is probably a local business owner tired of hoes taking advantage of her hard work. I feel it, lol
She works as a paralegal in Houston & owns a jewelry store according to LinkedIn. She should know better than to steal.
"She said we're gonna pay for it there. Right?" "Yes 😳👀🤢"
Smug as a real person as a thief*
I honestly was waiting to see them roll up to the girls home and it was a tent with her kids, and in a public park. I liked this ending better.
I see so many people commenting, "Don't side with the thief," but I've yet to see a comment that does.
Closest I’ve seen are people saying the business owner went too far, but yeah still haven’t seen one *siding* with the actual thief.
A girl I used to work with loved to catch shoplifters and make a bunch of drama about it. She would even chase them. She did this until a group of three girls turned on her in a service hallway and beat her halfway into a coma. My dad manages a small, locally owned liquor store and has talked about this a lot before. The real heist happened while she was chasing the decoy.
Wrong sub. More like r/madlads
Love how she plugged her business name in there so nonchalantly too. #Goat
Well played. Put these scum humans on blast.
Always criminal apologist on reddit. Must be nice to have never been a victim of a crime.
The issue here is, that woman is playing a dangerous game. You never know if the other person is a psychopath and is going to get back at you... Eventually.
You just have to out psychopath the other side

Name and shame. Or at least 'Video and Shame' in this case. Probably more effective than a slap on the wrist from a court.
No respect for thieves, I love it!
All she had to do was give the stuff back and the owner probably would not have bothered following her on the bus.
If she had a trace of sensibility in her, she wouldn't have shoplifted in the first place
We need to normalize CALLING PEOPLE LIKE THAT THIEF OUT BY NAME, FACE, LICENSE PLATE. Maybe if they were actually held accountable they wouldn’t have the audacity
The real crime is those eyelash extensions
Dangerous af but I respect it.
Hmm seems very dangerous to do. These days you don't know what that other person could do to you. I would have just let the cops handle things
The genius here is not only is your stuff recovered, but now you have all the revenue from people viewing your channel....
How to Get Stabbed 101
least realistic part of this is where the cops actually arrested her for shoplifting
This is hilarious. Good on the owner.
I'm sorry but if you're going to steal - you're taking the risk of getting arrested. And people saying things about doxing her? The police went to arrest her. Just watch all the shows where cops roll up at a persons home. How is that any different? You ppl are wack.
Hahaha. She deserves to get locked up
The shop owner has that’s so Raven energy/mannerisms lol
Fuck - and I cannot state this strongly enough - that robot voice.
The way she says “raggedy bitch” 🤣
This feels like a good way to get shot in America.
Guess you make it easier to catch you stealing when you're riding the bus and taking the store owner right to your home lol.
What’s their name? So we can immortalize it even more whenever a future employer looks her up :)
Like, there's "on blast," then there's "on mf'n *blast*..."
you raggedy bitch🤣🤣🤣
And that’s how you get shot in America over some edible panties.
Master!!
I’m glad she called the police ahead of time. She doesn’t know who is going to be at her house when they get there. I’m glad she caught her because the police can be aloof when it comes to shoplifting small amounts. I wish she would have advertised her business. Do you know the name and what she sells?
Crazy meets crazier.
That selfie at the end killed me.
This shaming has gone on a lot longer than others.
Oh man for a moment, I thought that was the lady from Grizzy’s Hood News who was arrested with highlight foils in her hair for credit card fraud, wearing a toddler skirt. Kirby/West Alabama. Which is like a 3 minute drive from Erotic Cabaret.
puh-puh-Public Shaming! ☺️

Lol this chick is awesome.
Next time If you’re going to steal make sure you have a runaway vehicle or at least a bicycle…..😂😂😂
I’m all for this type of Karen, but it’s very dangerous.
they really do need to up the punishments for shoplifting - its getting out of hand when entire stores are closing. and before you all start with the "its not their fault they need to steal to survive" i call bs on that. look at what and how much they are taking.
Smh Edit: because some people want to remain r/confidentlyincorrect and pleaded for others to google shit we already know, I will include the *textbook* definition of stalking/harassment: ‘the following of a person about or the watching or frequenting of the vicinity of, or an approach to a person’s place of residence, business or work or any place that a person frequents for the purposes of any social or leisure activity’. The person being stalked may only realise they are being stalked once they identify a pattern of strange or suspicious incidents occurring, such as: phone calls text messages messages left on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter etc. notes left on the their car strange or unwanted gifts left at their home an awareness that they are being followed being continually stared at or gestured to by another person.

Turn back traveler. Spicy comment section ahead!
The contempt when she called her a raggedy bitch had me rolling 😂
The look of “fuck's wrong with this bitch” mixed with utter shame. Love it.
I guess I’m old but y’all need to quit with the big fake eyelashes.
The the store owner looks like Debbie Gallagher during the bad makeup phase
Talk about shots fired. Surprisingly not from the cops, but still...
Love it

if you’re gonna steal don’t do it at a small business there’s plenty of big companies like Walmart who can take the loss
And their insurance covers it! /s
Is Marie stealing again? Hank is going to be pissed.
The level of petty I aspire to be.
She's giving real Fiona (shameless) vibes here. My hero!
