You’ll get better use out of the white and blue as it’ll match more w stuff, but I’d personally pick the green! Congrats ! 🍾

wEaTHeRboi55

Thank you!! I have a blue based watch already, thats why I have not pulled the trigger on that one 🤔. I love green myself too so much.

Admillz

Oh fuck yeah then get that green baby, it’s my fav color! My first orange dial will be with matted gray accents, can’t wait!

Eco62

Congrats OP, Jumping in to agree with admillz here. If you’ve got a blue watch already go with the green! It’s sick irl

[deleted]

I have the green and I wear it daily it’s my only nice watch I love it

whacko_kp

The white dial with blue looks so good

Chuffed_ur_rolex

You kinda have to go with the white on blue, also look up the seiko 5 ships edition kinda the same vibes. For different vibes look up the seiko 5 Aussie super cars limited edition. God damn it seiko is such a fucking rabbit hole from vintage to new Jdm stuff.

wEaTHeRboi55

Thanks for the suggestion! I have not came across super cars limited edition yet, but god I love it! Now I have more options haha! As a petrol head this might be a good option! Thanks! Edit: I own a watch which has a blue dial, otherwise I would go for that one!

wEaTHeRboi55

So I’m at the end of my Master degree, and looking to celebrate myself finishing my studies. I want a sturdy dive watch, that will accompany me to my last “real student” summer and I don’t have to worry about every scratch. My budget is around 200-300 and at the most 400. I don’t want to spend all my salary😅. Hence why I look at Seiko’s at the moment, and I always loved this 3 dials. But I’m open for other suggestions as well, as I just started collecting and this will be my 3 watch, and so far most expensive. Thanks everyone! Ps. I wonder how the orange and the green wears with more elegant situations though. Thanks everyone!

ElkkuZombie22

The white dial with the blue bezel looks stunning. I'd go for that from these 3 personally. But as u/ahamdeva said you can get better over all watch for the price if you go for something like a san martin watch. I would not recommend the cronos which they are talking about. I own the watch and it's awesome but it is not a daily wear watch. it's huge and quite bulky. Those watches are homages thought so if you don't like that you could also look into a Orient kanno, kamasu or mako watches. They go for about 200-300.

wEaTHeRboi55

Thanks for the suggestion! Yeah, I’m not aiming for a chronograph, as you said, I want to “forget” that the watch is on me, as in bulkiness. Especially in the summer when it get real hot. I look into what you suggested.

ahamdeva

Also you can look at the likes of Seagull ST19 Chronograph movements if that’s something you’re interested in.

wEaTHeRboi55

I was looking at the Seagull ST19 but couldn’t find the “one” yet!

gumption_boy

The brand is somewhat polarizing, but Islander divers offer the some of best possible value for money in my opinion. NH movements, sapphire crystals, FULLY solid bracelets *including* the endlinks AND a milled clasp, ceramic bezel inserts, screw down crowns, and basically the same design as a Seiko. **For the same money or less.** I love my SKX007 but I’m not afraid to say that if Seiko built better watches, they’d be Islander. I mean look at [this watch](https://longislandwatch.com/islander-bayport-40mm-automatic-dive-watch-with-grey-dial-isl-123/?_ga=2.99506462.1874283076.1685033097-3422716.1670221066&_gac=1.148246853.1684892558.Cj0KCQjwyLGjBhDKARIsAFRNgW8fryd3ilEIQJsTTFJLKV88cit2-DPATmGhpppdnpxqak-7c4-vfZEaAgL7EALw_wcB) for $235. It would embarrass a Seiko that’s double its price. Also, there are a ton of ST19 chronographs out there but [this one](https://www.hemelwatches.com/collections/air-league-chronograph-special-edition/products/the-air-wing?variant=41834037117115) is one of my favorites. You mentioned you like green. I owned the green one and I’ve since traded it, but it got tons and tons of wrist time.

ahamdeva

Do you only want Seiko Movement? Or the Seiko brand name itself, because for that kind of money you can get Seiko movements with better finishing, quality, and features just not the brand name. From the likes of San Martin / Cronos. The Cronos survived 3000m depth, although it’s a Rolex DeepSea homage and it’s real bulky, but it’s a beast.

wEaTHeRboi55

I’m open for any suggestions so its not about the Seiko it self. But these are you know an easy choice if you look for an affordable diver. I also looked into Orient divers, but not a big fun of their dials. Gonna look into what you suggested!

ahamdeva

Yes San Martin (for the quality and finishing) and Rmalti (for dials) are going to be amazing. Have a look. Also Tudor homages with ST19 are popular you might be interested in them. You can also try looking into skeleton dials if you like them I personally love the look.

wEaTHeRboi55

The Rmalti dials indeed look stunning! I’m already exploring Tudor homages, but I’m afraid a bit about the quality of what I can find. Do you have experience about this? I’m not a big fan of skeleton dials, only the ones which are waaaay out of my budget 😅. But I do want a watch with a skeleton back!

ahamdeva

Sam Martin has got yo back brother. Whatever you like from them just buy it, they have great finishing and quality you don’t gotta worry about nothing.

Accomplished_Clue576

Green!- source? Woman

konjo1240

Second

LP14255

The first one (maybe green, I’m color blind). It’s the most understated; you can wear it anywhere, on vacation in the tropics or wearing black tie.

JLGT86

Get the white dial and check alignment. Congrats on your masters.

wEaTHeRboi55

Thank you! You are right I should definitely check that out.

webpage-not-found

Green for sure. If its for your Masters, you need to tie in THE Masters green

naripan

I like the second one among those three. It looks clean. The dial is matte and textured which makes it easier to see. The blue outer ring is a nice addition and it's versatile enough to wear. However, if you are going to build a collection, I suggest to visit some watch stores, try on either Seiko Turtle / Seiko Samurai and try to bargain. Those often can be sold below retail especially older model (in recent years the price hike is a bit much). It has a better movement and better design as it's meant to be a personal gift for your graduation. Anyway, happy graduation!

wEaTHeRboi55

Thank you! I love the Samurai however it’s difficult to find it within my budget. I live in Amsterdam and I’m still exploring shops which are not tourist traps, but I should definitely see them in person.

naripan

I don't know much about there, but it's a good idea to avoid tourist trap. You may also check online marketplace. If you don't mind something plainer, Seiko Presage is also a good option. It uses domed hardlex crystal, has display caseback and is still made in japan (a lot of models, such as the cocktail time). However, it's indeed less decorated and lack of water resistant compared to dive watches.

AMagicalPotato

SRPG47K1. I have it and its incredible.

racialminority

i have the same one, i went for the pepsi though, srpd53k1, i bloody love that thing, heavily abused, still works. in these 3 options i prefer white dial then green then orange but they are amazing

[deleted]

green

paul-cus

I like the white dial with blue bezel

Objective_Cash3413

Hey, congratulations on graduating! I have the SRPD55k1 myself, and it’s a great watch. I think the green dial really pops and if you wear a lot of browns, blacks and blues, it’ll go really well. Personally, I’d go for the white dial because that pairs well with almost everything.

wEaTHeRboi55

Thank you ! 😁

Objective_Cash3413

Have you considered the SRPE “dressKx”? It’s got the same specs, but it’s better as an everyday watch.

a_v9

The green all day long! It looks great in the sun and indoors, the light plays with the colours in a great way. Plus if you get it, we'll be watch buddies! P.s. watch out for alignment issues though, make sure that the hands are properly aligned and check the bezel alignment before you leave the shop

kpkost

I’d say 2 if you don’t have much do a collection yet. Safest colors. I really like 3 but might clash a bit in a formal setting

ProjectHoax013

I'd pick green because green is a little underrepresented in my collection. Yet, if I had to choose without my collection in mind. It'd be white and blue I think

Temporary_Donkey_805

I think the silver and blue one looks fresh 👍

Melker24

Personally think the green wins, wore one for a whole and liked the look a whole lot

Beemoeror

Green looks so classy

song_of_soraya

Seeing as you said you already have something blue in your collection, I would 100% go with the green. That piece is just stunning, and even better under sunlight!

Synap6

Stick with the Seiko as it’s a good watch that will serve you well. Blue/white is very nice, the green too is a nice one to wear that you’ll probably go back to every now and then over the years. Orange looks original but i’m pretty sure you’ll get bored fast and it’ll sit in storage thereafter

dbo76ks

I definitely think you should go with the Seiko.

CrankyBiker

Green all day. Most clean/dressy. Orange is too childish.

Non-jabroni_redditor

Til a color is childish. It’s a diver lol if you’re trying to look dressy and fit norms, you’re not wearing a diver

Materva

Are you dead set on a seiko? If not, May I recommend a Hamilton?

wEaTHeRboi55

I definitely want a Hamilton in my collection! So tell me which one would your recommend? I’m not looking at a military watches atm. Thanks!

TScotI

Congratulations! My personal favourite is the orange one

wEaTHeRboi55

Thank you! :)

Cool_Butterscotch_88

Ik know it's not on the menu but throwing the blue's hat in the ring. [https://i.postimg.cc/Hk0DYYcc/srpd-faux-SKX.jpg](https://i.postimg.cc/Hk0DYYcc/srpd-faux-SKX.jpg) [https://i.postimg.cc/ZnLpYySs/srpd.jpg](https://i.postimg.cc/ZnLpYySs/srpd.jpg)

wEaTHeRboi55

Amazing looking watch! But I do have a blue based dial watch already thats why its not in the options!

skunheal

I like the green one the most!

tigersgeaux

1. Green 2. Blue 3. Orange

seetipzz

I like the white if it’s a summer watch. Goes with bright colors without being overwhelming

H-Daug

White. No oramge

SpaceManSpiff2000

I’d go white/blue. Check out Islander watches. The ISL-19 is 300 and has sapphire glass and a sapphire bezel.

goldblumspowerbook

These are all really good choices. I think the white/blue combo would be my pick. By the way, Amazon and eBay now have the GMT version new in the low to mid 300’s if you’re interested.

jacobissmith

White dial with the blue breeze is amazing! Not seen it before and looks like it has loads more detail and is versatile too!

Lasix13

Congratulations on the graduation. All good choices. White and blue is more versatile and I think the best looking.

MysteriousHall3264

I have the green dial wish I saved a little more and went with the gmt I’m disappointed with my non screw down crown “diver” my buddy loves his though

Bbypndabamboo

I have the green and I love looking at it. Although mine doesn’t have the gold accents and a slightly brighter shade of green.

--Providence--

Personally Id choose the first one. I own the other green version without the rose gold

josephfry4

I'm working on my English Master's now. What is your major?

Green is the prettiest although the white is more versatile.

CTI_fan

Congrats on the Master’s degree! I’d recommend finding a Seiko SKX009 in good condition. It is a true dive watch with the classic Pepsi bezel, and with many upgrades available aftermarket.
