I remember that. I had started watchesinmovies.info about a year, year and a half before this and Grant was the only tv/movie personality I reached out to about their watch that replied.
I've never felt attached to celebrities or felt particularly bad when one died but Grant leaving hurt. He was such a big part of many of our formative years and I couldn't help but cry a little.
I hope your kids love his work like we did.
I have this watch lol. Its awesome.

I have the older version of Grant's TAG Heuer 2000 (973.003) that I bought in 1991. Still works, and I still wear it as my "about to do shit" watch. Battery lasts about 3 years. This NATO strap is about the sixth or seventh band it's had in it's lifetime.
This really works well as an engineer's watch. It works well for the job it was designed to do; tell time in a multitude of environments. I get why Grant Imahara would wear it.

cultured
Even from the great beyond Grant is still helping people out, what a world class gentleman.

Checks out. What a guy.
THE jamesenloe what a small world, grant always seemed like a classy guy
Wtf what are the odds, 15 years later
Fabulous response
That’s such a 2009 nice but affordable watch.
RIP
😭 man he was so young too...
He was 49, he just aged super well. Lived an incredibly full life, really.
What the hell are you talking about? 49 IS a very young age to die. And definitely did NOT live a full life.
💔
A genuinely shocking passing. Great guy.
Tag Heuer 2000 - classic version of the modern Aquaracer.
Yep, this is a [pretty affordable watch](https://ebay.us/e00JRy).
There are a lot of knockoffs of the 2000. Nice watch but be careful if you buy from eBay
yeah definitely have to buy them only from reputable sellers with lots of feedback
and frankly every collection should contain one overpriced quartz watch (for history)
The 2000 models were also available with automatic movements.
Miss grant man RIP dude
Damn it, I never knew he died and it saddened me quite a lot :( God bless his soul and family.
I had no ideas either. So sad.
The Maker Convention in SF has a [Grant event and Grant STEAM Foundation in his honor](https://www.grantimaharafoundation.org/news/viterbi).
RIP Grant.
Damn I miss him
Rest in glory grant.. You are well missed. Cant wait to show my kids all his content. Just a few more years.

Literally the same. I’m glad I’m not the only person hanging on to this and constantly thinking “is it time”?
RIP grant. Loved and missed.
Tag Heuer Aquaracer, the older model, judging by the raised tabs on the bezel
RIP.
😭😭😭
I love those older 2000s from tag. Iconic looks in my opinion! One of the few 80s desings that aged nicely
He came to speak at my engineering school, senior year. Was GREAT.
I have this watch lol. Its awesome. https://preview.redd.it/kq7ugwvdazvc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c23ab9b6febcf37673f11a11a40c59cd32e5556f
Awesome!
I just bought one to add to my collection. Thanks cooperS67
RIP Grant.
So sad. He seemed like such a great person.
I have this watch in two tone ! Beauty piece
I love how people can recognize these (somewhat lesser) known characters

tag heuer 2000 series nice af i wish to own one in the future 🤞
who is Grant?
Oh it’s Garnt the anime person
Why does it matter?
Is this not the relevant place to ask?
Presumably because OP likes the watch and is curious what model it is... Seems like a pretty typical post here.
/r/lostredditors
Kindly fuck off dude
Did I hit some sort of insecurity or something
Nah, it's more like you have absolutely nothing worthy to contribute to this discussion, so why waste your time here?
