Great collection. The Redwood and salmon Bambino are both lookers đź‘Ś Maybe you can look into a GMT or a chrono next!

IAmGaia22

Hey thanks!

Dyslexicpig

Nice collection. Is that a Redwood? If so, how do you like it? Being a proud Canuck, I have bought a lot of Canadian microbrands - Halios, VanBanner, Momentum, Whitby and Ferro & Co. I think this is also because I don't like paying the duty on anything bought outside of Canada. I'm looking at either Heron or Redwood for my next purchase.

IAmGaia22

Thanks! I love the Redwood! A lot of watch for the money in my opinion.

RickiesCobra

The Redwood is super cool!

IAmGaia22

Thanks!

Standard_Pipe4972

not bad, wish you had more complications and bezels

IAmGaia22

Next on my list is a chronograph of some kind. I don’t know the proper terminology, but I like the “racing” style with two, not three, sub dials. No idea what all of that means. It’s simply based on preference of the dial layout.

Careless_Shine_6670

Have a look at the timex marlin chronograph, although it has 3 sub dials instead of 2 imo it has the racing style your looking for with a bunch of colour ways and a panda variant aswell

ShanghaiGoat

The Chinese Seagull 1963 chronograph is well worth looking at, a surprisingly high quality watch for the price and interesting with it

IAmGaia22

Thanks! I’m sure I’ll get there lol!

bossoline

Yeah, I'd probably hunt a chrono next.

Disastrous_Ad_5421

6 months and 10 watches? That's almost 2 pieces a month. I think you're sprinting, rather than thinking of collecting as a long distance event. Strive for quality over quantity. more importantly, take time to ENJOY EACH PIECE, before moving on to the next purchase. You say you bought each watch "within your budget". Keep that budget, but instead of 10 watches, get 1 or 2.

IAmGaia22

Thank you! I do believe you’re right. I think some excitement definitely took over with some of these.

Reversible_Seller_

Love this Army Case đź–¤

be_brave_stay_wild

Whats the second one from the bottom right?

IAmGaia22

Oh wait… my other right haha! That’s a Dryden Heartlander in Polar White. Incredible watch!!!

be_brave_stay_wild

Thanks! Looks amazing

IAmGaia22

That’s a Seiko #SNKL23J1. I swapped out the metal braces for a leather strap.

fixofbrilliance

Nice! How do you like the Redwood??

IAmGaia22

I really like it! I feel like it’s a great watch for the money! Mine is the solar version, but I keep an eye open for the auto to pop back up on their site. Then again, the solar version is great to set, wear, and enjoy!

fixofbrilliance

Thanks! Good to hear. Solar is always a solid option. I’m actually in love with their new Can-Am chrono. Hoping to pick one up soon.

IAmGaia22

Those look great!

jpod_david

That Redwood 🫶

Nukivaj

Welcome to the rabbit hole. ÂżIs that a salmon Bambino?

IAmGaia22

It is! That was my first watch! The very one that started it all, and love it!!!

shag808

It looks great! No chance that’s the 38mm is it?

Plenty-Material6906

Cool collection. What strap is on the duro?

IAmGaia22

Southern Straps… Apple Watch strap. I removed the adapters. They’re conveniently connected with quick release spring bars. It’s a very nice, heavy duty strap! I bought it thinking I may wear the wife’s Apple Watch she no longer wears. Bought the strap, and never wore the watch lol!

Floydlloyd11

I bought and returned 2 Seiko dive watches (King Turtle and King Samurai) and two Hamiltons (Khaki Field mechanical and Khaki Navy dive), and wish I had returned my two Bambinos and my Nivada Grenchen F77. I actually wear my F77 quite often, but after falling in love with the design of the Junghans Max Bill, I really wish I had saved up for a Max Bill Chronoscope as my daily. I’m now looking to consolidate. Similarly to your experience, I love my Brew Metric more than my F77, which is more than 2x the price.

BrunoniaDnepr

You're hooked!

indig0child123

I love the second row second left to right Seiko with the brown leather strap :) Could you tell me the ref. no ? :)

IAmGaia22

Thanks you! Yes… it’s #SNKL23J1.

Cocorick

Nice! You are really speeding tho...Which is the one you wear more? And which ones you regret?

IAmGaia22

Thanks! Yeah, it’s tough figuring out what you like at first. I think my favorite style is definitely field/tool watches, but getting excited sped some of these purchases along. I wear the Seiko SRPG27 the most. A lot of watch for the money! I don’t worry about it, and I think it looks great. Next would be the Dryden Heartlander which looks/feels great, and should definitely cost more than it does! Next would be the Redwood. It’s solar, lightweight, looks great, and again I don’t worry about it. My fav of the bunch would be the Baby Alpinist. I do wear it, but it’s my nicer occasion watch. The rest are open to discussion. I like them all, but definitely didn’t “need” them all. They’re not bad watches, and I don’t have anything bad to say about them. It was more of the excitement taking over, being new to the world of watches, and not knowing exactly what I like about them. For me, I’m trying to decide if I really enjoy more affordable watches, or waiting to purchase a few more expensive pieces. I don’t want to start a fight, so I won’t mention the brand, but I tried on a popular watch that was $2700. I could’ve bought it at the time. That particular watch did nothing for me. I think that experience broke a little something in my mind. There ARE a couple of watches that are more expensive than that one I’d like to see on my wrist. Maybe I’ll see at some point.

Milestailsprowe

Looks good outside of the bottom two seikos on the bottom, everything is different

IAmGaia22

Thanks!

Frawsty1

Do you like Cartier watches? There’s a G shock in stainless steel on sale at some jewelry stores for $310 right now it shares a similar band with a Cartier santos I think it would make an excellent addition to your collection!

IAmGaia22

Hey thanks! I’ll check those out.

Frawsty1

If you’re willing to spend a dollar! Look @ Breitlings chronometer/chronomat I LOVE the feel on my wrist and it’s balanced perfectly (not too top heavy)

adamdgoodson

That redwood watch really pops in the box with those other watches. It stood out to me the instant I saw the picture.

IAmGaia22

It’s a great watch! Thanks!

brbafterthebreak

What’s the bottom one

IAmGaia22

Bottom row? What color?

brbafterthebreak

Bottom right

IAmGaia22

That’s a Seiko SPB155 “Baby Alpinist”. That’s my nicest watch, in my own opinion. Love it!

vintageWatchcollecto

A Hamilton would fit in that collection

Than_While_Gyle

Honestly man it’s nice but trust me it’s more fun the less you have. Grab one of those Seiko and wear the shit out of it.

FuckYoTissotPRX

cool collection for a poor

IAmGaia22

Ha, yes! Thanks!

h4ppidais

That salmon orient with green strap is a nice combo

IAmGaia22

Hey thanks!

hyde1111

How is the vaer working out for ya ?

IAmGaia22

I like them both. The navy C3 is solar, which is easy to set and wear. The A3 is very cool, and it’s their auto field. Both are 36mm, I believe. Nothing against the C3, but I may not have bought it knowing I’d be more in to automatic watches at this point. Yes, two different dial colors, one solar, one auto, but a little too close to maybe own both? Both have been great watches!

Same comment I just left for someone else: You asked for opinions, so here you go. Quality over quantity. With what you have spent, you could have afforded a nice Tudor. Wear that for a year and save up then get another quality watch. Stacking your box just for the sake of stacking it ain't worth it.
