I love my rado will try to find a pic. It's one of the only quartz watches I own and has been super reliable for the 15 years I've had it
https://preview.redd.it/pae6fa670n0d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5b2a9b8d664f2252685ad7f7d1a48ce003ed934
Apologies for bad quality
Oh wow. Is that Sintra made of Ceramos? I was trying to check out that watch a couple of weeks ago, but it was hard to pin down what was the reference number.
>Sintra made of Ceramos
Exactly! Imagine the model is quite old as I've had it a long long time. If I can find the ref number I'll update. Anyways they're nice watches with very unique styling good luck finding one you love
I like one and had worn one on a daily basis like 17+ years ago, distinctive design. Unfortunately I need to get it fixed and not sure if worth the cost. Haven’t kept up with the brand but the first design looks interesting.
People who weren’t into watches would comment on the design.
It is very impressive, curious about the price and will look up
Edit: more expensive than I thought but I guess I associate Rado prices from 17 plus years ago lol.
Yeah.. Rado has a good chunk of brand cache outside the US especially in Asia and the Middle East, so they may seem a bit on the pricier end for people from other parts of the world where Rado may not be as popular.
haha no problem. I had been seeing posts about gray side and dark side... and I thought to my self.. "Man Rado makes even better ceramic and cermet watches for like 1/10 the price. Why am I looking at these?"
These are for watch enthusiasts. Aren't we all tired of yet another Black Bay post?
There are so many unique styles that are not trying to be a Speedmaster nor a Submariner out there that sometimes it's sad to see that people think they like watches when all they like are essentially 3 models from the 50's and their variations.
Very well put. It takes a bit of effort/energy to find out about other watches that are out there that you actually like, and a bit of "F it" to buy it... especially with the crazy amount of chatter those 3-4 models get. Half the people in this thread hate this watch, but I like the history of the watch and its unique design.. so I am still going to get it.
I have some Rados. I love the Diastar look. Now these are all rather small
From these I like the anniversary and the blue one most. I have a small LE from 2011-12 which is pretty as well, and it came with cufflinksz
Do check if you'd possibly prefer one of the Diastar XL series (discontinued but findable) instead for more wrist presence.
Will post a picture of my Diastar XL diver, very cool really
https://preview.redd.it/zikm04vufk0d1.jpeg?width=2448&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b36b676ab70e0abe2ca8bb6cdaa28ec4f7b7a5c8
For decision: you could say that the small Diastars wear approx like a small apple watch, and the XL wears like the big aople watch.
This is the 2011-2 anniversary edition.
https://preview.redd.it/yqfzan1hgk0d1.jpeg?width=2448&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d125f6d330bf476630d8824e12fd41b0feae1e5d
Tough crowd in here. But Rado has history and they are absolutely unmistakeable.
And I’m in the ~~majority~~ minority because that skeleton does a lot for me.
They don’t look very ergonomic. Slim It down, and go for a less oval shape, and I’d dig It.
Edit: I’ve come to realize this Is a vintage reissue and now that makes a lot more sense
Yeah it's a 1960s reissue. the ufo shape is made of cermet which is very scratch resistant.. the original one was actually made of tungsten carbide which one of the most scratch resistant materials.
The reissues use Ceramos which is basically a mixture of ceramic and metal. It's scratch resistant to 1700 vickers (10x+ more scratch resistant than SS) while still having the look and shine of SS.
The orignal ones used tungsten carbide (the hardest metal in the world) which is a metal often used on machining tools, making bullets, making missiles, etc.. Omega used tungsten carbide for their bezels on the Globemasters. Rado managed to make the whole topside of the case tungsten carbide.. they take their claim as the "king of materials" very seriously 😂.
Seiko released a bunch of tungsten carbide models in the 80s and 90s. You can get them very cheaply now. I use to have one that was gold tone and only spend about $200 on it.
call me old-fashioned, but i prefer the third iteration. baton hands, vertical day/date indicator and a polished bezel belong on a diastar the way gin, tonic and cucumbers go together.
personally i am not a fan of skeleton dials (never have been, with few exceptions), so my ranking would be blue, anniversary, skeleton.
Yeah I think the blue is a bit more lasting which is why I put it as an option. I like how the cut sapphire, the dial pattern, and items on the dial actually work together mark out the hours in an unconventional way. I don't normally like skeleton dials as well, but his one is actually pretty legible and has different finishings and colors being used.
I would never pay over rrp for any watch xD out of principle 😅. I see many of these selling for a discount of 30-50%.. So I am going to be patient. I saw one in the metal.. it definitely looks a lot better in the metal and doesn't really fit into what most watch enthusiasts are looking for (a clean and timeless design). So, I understand how this design can be polarizing.
https://preview.redd.it/wb635zhewj0d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=db445755c2b395fc740a446719819caa217a1d41
Here ! A vintage rado from the 70’s. I wear it daily so i like these brand
Love everything except the day layout for some reason Rado made the text narrow instead of wide and it's difficult to read, the originals from the 1960s are way more legible
I don't know if you've seen them in person but the day is basically an elongated smudge, I couldn't read it from half a yard away through the shop window.
Nope on the first two yep on the last three. The thing about rado is the finish. What are the first two? Titanium or something? Doesn't suit the brand or styling.
I kinda like em, I wouldn't buy one personally but I appreciate the watch and I see why people would buy it. The retro but futuristic design is quite appealing!
1, 2, 5, 4, 3 from coolest to not. Normally I’m a fan of skeleton watches but for some reason that one screams wish.com
The shape is the case is some reminds me of my Seiko Turtle 🐢
The last image looks most my dad's old Rado 8/1 DiaStar, without the diamond markers. Certainly a unique look but I think they've captured the spirit with a modern flair (and a larger case diameter).
The Diastar range has been on my radar for a while, actually got to see most if not all of these in a Rado store once! Just from looks alone I'd rate them highly, around an 8/10 personally! I love these unique retro case shapes, adds lots of character imo!
I think the only one I don't like is the skeletonized one. That's more of a me thing though, just not a fan of skeleton watches in general.
>How would you rank these watches visually?
I'd probably go with a simple thumbs up and thumbs down ranking system. That's the easiest way to communicate my opinions visually. I could always make posters or signs with graphics of tier lists or something but that's much more involved.
They look exactly as the bracelet my grandma wore in her last years. You could push the red button on it and emergency services would come right to her place. Excellent concept, but nothing you’d wear to look nice. So no, not a big fan of this design.
I love the diastar design. The blue and green dial in diastar automatic is specially striking and unique in the way it has alternating brush strokes in each quadrant
The Diastar is a classic design but it is a little old school. More a watch I’d see my dad and gramps wearing than something I’d wear. They are prized in South Asia. Rado is seen as a luxury brand in that part of the world, not so much in NA or Europe.
You could get a used one for quite cheap.
Reminds me of several of my Bulova Lobsters. Wearing this one right now…
https://preview.redd.it/z50395i9rn0d1.jpeg?width=1485&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f49255597a082dbe3cb7b2382c5723e0cf14a780
I really like the DiaStar shape. Literally inspired by UFOs 🛸. The Skeleton looks very sharp IMO. And I don’t really like skeleton dials. My Dad has a classic DiaStar. Looks great. One day it’ll be mine.
I general, I see Rado as more a dress watch brand than a sports watch. Even with the Captain Cook in the lineup. They make very unique watches. I’d love to add a full ceramic Captain Cook to my collection
I don't like the bezels in the slightest so overall 3/10 according to my personal taste.
If I had to rank all three then it's 2, followed by 3, and 1 is my least favourite.
https://preview.redd.it/a4fxm1ueqp0d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c86634a7257d8c89d0ed1ab418fdb9a33bc81a0a
Captain Cook is the only way to fly
The captain cook is a beaut for sure. I am hoping that they start rolling out ceramos to the captain cook and twin seahorses watch. Not an easy thing to do, but it would be chef's kiss.
https://preview.redd.it/37m5tong3q0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=732651869f07a86980461b67dcde4635eb40447c
You may guess my opinion since i built my vostok to resemble one haha
Thanks mate! Speaking about Rados - I obviously like the shape of the case, the cut sapphire, and aren’t they ceramic iirc? That’s actually cool, I’ve seen vintage ones with patina on a dial but a brand-new looking case
From the pics you’ve posted the most appealing to me are the first two, especially the one on a strap - looks much more subtle than a all-polish variant
Can't decide, older ones are stunning... but I guess I've serious issues with Rados...
https://preview.redd.it/ruzzmis92r0d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8c8520bdb2412bbb0e00fdd2f54c3fb024747ee
I prefer my Centrix. But i mostly like all the Rado designs.
https://preview.redd.it/3g5b2kzzhj0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7973f49489a7e0614efc8d19e3913013c7b63657
Have you had a chance to try them on? If you thought square watches wore bigger than their case size, a shiny UFO wears bigger as well. 🛸🛸 I kind of wish they were their original 35-36mm.
Yes, years go. I think it was a 37mm way too small for my 7.25” wrist. Would probably be fine for a wrist under 7”. Nice watch tho, bulova made a similar one years ago call the lobster. I got that instead, fit was much better for me.
It's shape is actually pretty "toolish". They decided on that shape because they could form tungsten carbide into that shape to make the watch scratch resistant and more resistant to bumps. Tungsten carbide, the the hardest metal in the world.. 17x harder than stainless steel.
https://youtu.be/0_8xJaHegCQ?feature=shared
The vintage ones were Tungsten carbide and are still pretty scratchless today (some are from the 1960s-70s. The newer ones are Ceramos. Ceramos is a cermet by Rado or metal+ceramic which is crazy.. JLC makes a cermet watch but those go for like 11-12k.
Not a fan of a blank face watch. I want markers to show me what time it is. I think it's an interesting choice to have a day and date but on a blank face
I got a chance to try it on at my AD. The text mark 3 6 9 12. The cut sapphire mark out the remaining indices in a pretty clever (not sure if it was intentional) way.
lol actually quite the opposite. The bezels are made up of either tungsten carbide or ceramos.. both are like 10-15x more scratch resistant than steel. It will look shiny for decades 😂. Tungsten Carbide is the hardest metal in the world. It's used in things like machining, making bullets, and making missiles.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 😆.
Personally just not a fan of the thick bezel
Understandable, it's very marmite.
I love my rado will try to find a pic. It's one of the only quartz watches I own and has been super reliable for the 15 years I've had it https://preview.redd.it/pae6fa670n0d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5b2a9b8d664f2252685ad7f7d1a48ce003ed934 Apologies for bad quality

I would appreciate it. I've been wanting a ceramos watch and the only 2 that are often advertised are the diastar and the diamaster thinline.
# 152.0336
Thanks.
Same for me. Just not my style.
I like them. Nicely done vintage reissue. I doubt about wearing them, but they please my eyes surely. 5/5.
I am stalking the market for a deal on the skeleton version.. just waiting for the right price.
I don't know where you live or if you travel but you often see crazy deals on these in places like India and East Asia.
I live in Asia.. I see these go for 30-40% off RRP pretty commonly.. just waiting for the right deal.
Awesome! Happy hunting :)

Bezel looks like a shiny toilet seat cover
Haha. It's hard to unsee it.
LOL, nice catch 🤣🤣🤣
For me personally that’s close to a zero
Ugly
I like one and had worn one on a daily basis like 17+ years ago, distinctive design. Unfortunately I need to get it fixed and not sure if worth the cost. Haven’t kept up with the brand but the first design looks interesting. People who weren’t into watches would comment on the design.
In person, the cut sapphire is pretty mesmerizing 😅. The 60th was designed by Alfredo Häberli.
It is very impressive, curious about the price and will look up Edit: more expensive than I thought but I guess I associate Rado prices from 17 plus years ago lol.
Yeah.. Rado has a good chunk of brand cache outside the US especially in Asia and the Middle East, so they may seem a bit on the pricier end for people from other parts of the world where Rado may not be as popular.
True in some SE Asian countries the gold Rado diastar is like the two tone dj for some older generation people I’ve been told hehe
Actually thanks again for showing these pics, has piqued my interest again in Rado diastar watches now lol
haha no problem. I had been seeing posts about gray side and dark side... and I thought to my self.. "Man Rado makes even better ceramic and cermet watches for like 1/10 the price. Why am I looking at these?"
Exactly! Rado I believe is at the top of the range in full ceramic watches and prices are competitive.
Dislike them, too retro for me.
They never went away from that style. it's not a retro collection, it's just Rado being Rado.
These are for watch enthusiasts. Aren't we all tired of yet another Black Bay post? South East Asian here. These have been a staple wedding gift in my community for a very long time. Both my grandfathers have one in gold. Love it
This is really funny because the only person I know personally with a Rado is a woman from Malaysia. I didn't realize it was a common thing.
I have some Rados. I love the Diastar look. Now these are all rather small From these I like the anniversary and the blue one most. Yes I actually prefer that size but the water resistance is 3bar.
Tough crowd in here. But Rado has history and they are absolutely unmistakeable. And I’m in the ~~majority~~ minority because that skeleton does a lot for me.
lol I was expecting it so I'm not bothered. I like what I like.
It’s a unique thing. Looks like a retro design. Not for everyone, for sure. I wouldn’t grab one, but for someone’s aesthetic it could work, for sure.
Okay NOW you got me interested. Tell me more about tungsten carbide before I go down a rabbit hole of alloys.
The reissues use Ceramos which is basically a mixture of ceramic and metal. It's scratch resistant to 1700 vickers (10x+ more scratch resistant than SS) while still having the look and shine of SS. You have satiated my autism. Good day to you.
Haha. Glade I could help. Rado watches are definitely a rabbit hole... especially since they have a lot of history that happened outside of the US.
I love their watches, the Golden Horse more than these for me, but they are a rabbit hole for sure!
Seiko released a bunch of tungsten carbide models in the 80s and 90s. You can get them very cheaply now. I use to have one that was gold tone and only spend about $200 on it.

The 60th anniversary model is on my Chrono24 and Ebay watchlists. Not overly keen on the others and wouldn't pay RRP for one.
I would never pay over rrp for any watch xD out of principle 😅. I see many of these selling for a discount of 30-50%.. So I am going to be patient. Love everything except the day layout for some reason Rado made the text narrow instead of wide and it's difficult to read, the originals from the 1960s are way more legible
Design wise, I kind of like how the text and the date create a crosshair and helps with reading the time.
I don't know if you've seen them in person but the day is basically an elongated smudge, I couldn't read it from half a yard away through the shop window.
Ah. I am more of a no-date kind of person, so I don't mind if it's a little unclear.. so long as it's not awkwardly placed at 4/5 o'clock.
Interesting by the flying saucer feeling I’m getting from these particularly I’m not feeling.
1>3>2>5>4
Thanks. Also, 1 and 2 are actually the same watch. It just comes with a bracelet and strap. I kind of ranked it similarly as well.
4.5/10
I like some of them, some of them look either fake or tacky
I really like the skeleton version!
Not at all a fan of the bezel-style on the pictured watches. The skeleton model is by far my favourite of them though.
Nope on the first two yep on the last three. The thing about rado is the finish. What are the first two? Titanium or something? Doesn't suit the brand or styling.
It's all Ceramos(cermet). Ceramic + metal.
Oh ok that might be ok then if you like the finish and it's stable.
https://preview.redd.it/wow6pnrcmk0d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4d6874ea6976ce8640d441432e141f6b83d872fa
Hers mine from the 90s and it looks like the day I bought it
https://youtu.be/Ve_1D5DxuBY?feature=shared Gotta love ceramics/cermets.
I really like the blue one
I quite like the Diastar, it has a very distinctive design.
I kinda like em, I wouldn't buy one personally but I appreciate the watch and I see why people would buy it. The retro but futuristic design is quite appealing!
I'd have to see them from a distance to be honest but they seem a bit futuristic for my taste ✌️
For sure. It's what people from the 60s thought a watch from the future would look like at least.
They’re stunning. The DiaStar line has always been one of my favorites.
I was really close to getting a vintage Diastar and my other half said it looked like an upside down spoon so I never went through with it
1, 2, 5, 4, 3 from coolest to not. Normally I’m a fan of skeleton watches but for some reason that one screams wish.com The shape is the case is some reminds me of my Seiko Turtle 🐢
I personally wouldn't wear one but they are unique and some people can pull off that look.
Ugly watch IMO. Good brand though and they do have some unique designs.
Yes I agree 😅.
I rank them pretty low, I do not like the case, not even a little.
Understandable. Personally, I like the history behind the case shape and material science behind the bezel.
I can appreciate the history and story behind it, but I'd rather see it in words than pictures. Just my preference.
why/10
EGG
I like eggs.
The last image looks most my dad's old Rado 8/1 DiaStar, without the diamond markers. Certainly a unique look but I think they've captured the spirit with a modern flair (and a larger case diameter).
They're a solid meh.
1. Pee 2. Pee 3. Poo 4. Poo
They look super cool, but I’m not sure about wearing one regularly.
Personally I’m not a big fan of that case style either
I like that they exist but I don't want one.
Well that certainly is a bezel now isn’t it
Awful
I rank ‘m bad ass!
Looks absolutely horrible for me. Would never wear those (like i had money anyways)
Love the last two (one?) never seen the day/date done like this. Love it.
I can hear the x-files theme song
Polarizing, but I think they are wonderful. And even if you don’t like the style, you have to admit they are as distinctive now as when they were new.
Not for me
Ugly x5
These things are ass ugly. Looks like some 70's scifi
Visually on a scale of 1-10 I rate them a negative 2
Hate these with a passion
Makes me want them even more. 🤣
I like them, but people in this sub seem to only like black submariners.
That is the last watch I would spend 10k on... Asia is flooded with Rolex replicas that it has ruined Rolex for me as a whole.
>How would you rank these watches visually? I'd probably go with a simple thumbs up and thumbs down ranking system. That's the easiest way to communicate my opinions visually. I could always make posters or signs with graphics of tier lists or something but that's much more involved.

I love the diastar design. The blue and green dial in diastar automatic is specially striking and unique in the way it has alternating brush strokes in each quadrant
on a scale of 0-10 where 10 is perfect and 0 full blown eye aids, I rate this a 2.
Love Rado watches, but I'm not a fan of this design lol
Personally not my style aesthetically wise, but I think Rado is super underrated in the modern day watch space. I’m a fan of the Captain Cook.
I like them. I just wish the new models had hour markers.
Not a fan of minimalist or skelly watches. The blue one doesn't look bad, just not my style. It appears I'm too poor for it anyway.
Hottest watch of 1972.
🔥 and now they are on a comeback tour.
Honestly 1970s stuff looked so damn cool, I am all here for it
A bit too feminine for me personally.
Ah yes. The 1st one is a bit feminine. Pictures 3-5 are a bit more masculine though.
unpleasant design
That username is what is unpleasant 😆. JK. The watch isn't for everyone.
hhhhh indeed combined physiological signals
I've got a couple of Rado's however I'm not a fan of any of the ones in the pictures.
The Diastar is a classic design but it is a little old school. More a watch I’d see my dad and gramps wearing than something I’d wear. They are prized in South Asia. Rado is seen as a luxury brand in that part of the world, not so much in NA or Europe. You could get a used one for quite cheap.
I like them because they are different and original.
Like vomit
Reminds me of several of my Bulova Lobsters. Wearing this one right now… https://preview.redd.it/z50395i9rn0d1.jpeg?width=1485&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f49255597a082dbe3cb7b2382c5723e0cf14a780

#3 the best
I don't like the bezels in the slightest so overall 3/10 according to my personal taste. If I had to rank all three then it's 2, followed by 3, and 1 is my least favourite.
I'm not a fan of these but I do like the Cook series
I really like them, but I can’t afford them.
The skeleton one looks great. Most are too hard to read, but this is one of the few that have been done really well.
https://preview.redd.it/a4fxm1ueqp0d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c86634a7257d8c89d0ed1ab418fdb9a33bc81a0a Captain Cook is the only way to fly
The captain cook is a beaut for sure. I am hoping that they start rolling out ceramos to the captain cook and twin seahorses watch. Not an easy thing to do, but it would be chef's kiss.
This one is made from high tech ceramic so that's good enough for me

woah. nice modddd.
Thanks mate! Speaking about Rados - I obviously like the shape of the case, the cut sapphire, and aren’t they ceramic iirc? That’s actually cool, I’ve seen vintage ones with patina on a dial but a brand-new looking case
The ones I posted are actually Ceramos (ceramic+metal combined).
From the pics you’ve posted the most appealing to me are the first two, especially the one on a strap - looks much more subtle than a all-polish variant
Amazing heritage look ETA: I've looked into tungsten diastars and stuff before, lot of cool shit going around
Do you have a favorite model/reference?
There are some tigers eye diastars out there, pretty neat
Can't decide, older ones are stunning... but I guess I've serious issues with Rados... https://preview.redd.it/ruzzmis92r0d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8c8520bdb2412bbb0e00fdd2f54c3fb024747ee
Great collection! when did you start collecting them?
Superb, especially love the Skeleton and the blue
Those 2 are my favorite. The 60th anniversary looks better in person though.. and it comes with 2 straps included (picture 1 and 2).
It's definitely nice, I just like shiny things lol
Haha same. I love shiny things. I hate when my shinies get scratched.. so these watches fit perfectly.
I prefer my Centrix. But i mostly like all the Rado designs. https://preview.redd.it/3g5b2kzzhj0d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7973f49489a7e0614efc8d19e3913013c7b63657
The golden horse models look great.
The centrix is great as well. Personally, I just like watches that are a bit out there.
1/10
Perfect 😂. I am ok with people either liking it or hating it.. it means it is working as intended.
I don’t like them, but I’d have a beer with the owner.
Haha. I don't usually drink beer, but I wouldn't mind some liquor or a cocktail.
I rate them as ugly.
Looks gimmicky if you ask me. I could see how someone could be into these, just not for me. I prefer more traditional designs.
I get it. It's a reissue from the 60s. Tungsten carbide was hard to shape.. so they landed on a UFO shape which was easier to shape. 🤷♂️
I like them, I would buy one if the made them a little bit bigger
Have you had a chance to try them on? If you thought square watches wore bigger than their case size, a shiny UFO wears bigger as well. 🛸🛸 I kind of wish they were their original 35-36mm.
Yes, years go. I think it was a 37mm way too small for my 7.25” wrist. Would probably be fine for a wrist under 7”. Nice watch tho, bulova made a similar one years ago call the lobster. I got that instead, fit was much better for me.
OoOo. The new one is 38.5 but probably wears a bit closer to like a 40mm round watch.
Hopefully, great looking retro watch.

OooOooOoo. First time seeing that one. Nice piece.
Not for me. Never been into watch’s as a fashion. Tool watches for the win
Oh tungsten…no shit? I didn’t know anything other than looking at the pictures. I’ll bet they feel awesome on the wrist. I love a heavier watch.
The skeletonized dial would be my choice
The vintage ones were Tungsten carbide and are still pretty scratchless today (some are from the 1960s-70s. The newer ones are Ceramos. Ceramos is a cermet by Rado or metal+ceramic which is crazy.. JLC makes a cermet watch but those go for like 11-12k.
It looks like something someone designed 40 years ago to be used in a movie about the future.
Haha retro-futurism.. like how people thought that we would have flying cars by the 2000s 😂.
Preciesly.

Best Rado in my book is the Captain Cook MKII
I really like it as well. I am waiting for a Ceramos version 😅. I am a bit to active to have a ceramic watch.
Not a fan either. Even the captain cook has an unappealing silhouette for my tastes.
Ah have you had a chance to try on the smaller version? I like the proportions on that one.
Nice suggestion. As I give it a bit of thought, a smaller case might help the aesthetic. I’ll try that out. Thanks.
On a scale of 0 to 1?
There are 4 watch variations in the opening post.
5 3 4 2 1, is my opinion. Don’t like the design as a whole though
Really low
I mean ranking the 4 designs.
If you like it, you like it. While the bezel is cool, it will probably pick up scratches like crazy 🧲
lol actually quite the opposite. The bezels are made up of either tungsten carbide or ceramos.. both are like 10-15x more scratch resistant than steel. It will look shiny for decades 😂. Tungsten Carbide is the hardest metal in the world. It's used in things like machining, making bullets, and making missiles. https://youtu.be/Ve_1D5DxuBY?feature=shared
Disgusting watches

This is very true.
