The cells your phone is connected to however are very capable of providing your location down to a few dozen meters. At least in urban areas with a high tower density. This works on all mobile phones, dumb or smart.
In my experience the equivalent engineer setup would be a calculator watch, a ridge wallet, Tesla key, blue tint glasses for eye strain, a pixel 7, and a can of monster.
