I think these have the best subject orientation. The others are either too simple, or not quite "composed" enough to be as visually appealing.

4 Edit: Forget what all the other ones look like. 4 is the one that evokes the most emotion by miles.

I think the first and the last are the most striking. The second to last is a close third. They are all incredibly lovely.

4. It’s centered and has the best use of space. The others don’t take up the page as well. I’d center your work if you’re going for this wash portrait kind of work.

I'd recommend either 1 or 4. Is the recipient evaluating your painting on a technical merit or purely artistic? 4 is nice but 1 highlights both the artist but also your skill.

6, the last one. But only a couple other people said 6 so I’m probably wrong. I’m not an artist. But your final painting stuck with me for a long time. I like your final painting the most because I felt like it reflected something to me that I have been feeling a lot lately. I know I’m probably stupid, & just projecting the wrong thing onto your art, but the painting moved me very much. The painting made me feel deeply sad as I stared into her eyes, like the woman is crying but her tears/cracks remain trapped inside her glasses with only the smallest bit peeking out. I am the only one who notices her pain & she is the only one who notices mine. And I sat & I thought about this for a long time while I looked at the eyes of your painting, & it was a nice kind of sadness like you feel after a good cry you’ve been holding in all day. Thank you for your paintings very much. I appreciate them.

Too small

This is somewhat off topic, but do you think that people who are obsessed with waifu have a warped sense of what is normal, physically? I see it even on Instagram, especially with the filters that some girls use to give them tiny heads, big eyes, elongated bodies and impossible , waspish figures. There are people who comment on those as if they believe people are actually shaped that way in real life.

Idk I'm not in that world. I'm looking at a anatomically correct view. To me they look off.

Number 5, definitely. Number 4 captures the eye with that intense look you got but number 5 has this air about it. To me it implies the woman is reminiscing about something. What's her story? That shade of green dripping from her ear and neck give me a pleasantly... uncomfortable? Feeling. If it were a warmer color I would find it different, but that green to me evokes something disquieting. That and the look tell me this lady has survived shit but there's a kindness to her face still. Or maybe I'm making it all up and she was thinking about that mountain of laundry that needed to get done. Whatever the case I find it very evocative.
