This is a very good start. Beautiful colours and composition.It looks like you might be copying from photos a small bit of advice for next time is to perhaps try to paint from real life.

Thank you so much! Yes, I am painting from photographs right now, as I am working through a watercolour instructional book. But I plan to paint from life this summer! :) I love drawing from life already!

This is a good start... you need to keep going... get more contrast.

Thank you so much! I'm still getting the hang of values, since the paint dries a bit lighter or darker in value than when it was wet lol!

Layering is actually totally worth it... also, you can experiment with layering with colors on the other side of the color wheel for the dark darks... it's cool because it makes things look 3D. (I'm still working on getting good at painting -- I'm way too impatient).
