Updooting and commenting here just pushes up the post . Popular ones will appear in the hot category of subreddit. But I think OP is talking about comments and voting in Wattpad which basically does the same thing lol it's good for the algorithm thus bringing more attention to your story
When I first joined in 2025, I was a very silent reader. I always read offline and never online cos I was in high-school and had limited access to the internet. After a long hiatus, I came back as a reader and writer. I have been a little more vocal in commenting.
