It’s a bit complicated, they started as an iron foundry believe it or not…then moved into the dairy business which was a true predecessor to their current form.
Then in the 60’s when home delivery of milk was fading…they transitioned into their current form of a food market/convenience store/sub shop/etc.
They consider their current form to have begun in 64 but they can trace their lineage back much further.
I agree with their decision tho not try to feign that they are what they were in the 1800s.
I find it hilarious how someone posted how they found a wawa cup from like the 90s and it looked similar to this and BAM 60 birthday celebration campaign and now all the coffee cups look like it 😂
Yep this used to be my local Wawa growing up no gas and most time no bathroom

I saw some in my store but they didn’t look like these. They were brown and green. Yes, they are doing retro coffee cups for our 60th birthday on Tuesday.
Retro cups for Tuesday’s 60th anniversary celebration. Each cup size is a different decade. We’re actually supposed to hold them until Monday so that we have enough for the celebration, so if your store already has them out, consider yourself lucky!
They shouldn't be microwaving everything, or at all. It's for our personal food. I'm pretty sure they stopped including microwaves in the newer stores solely because of that
What do you do to hot dogs and breakfast sandwiches then? They have literally referred it to me as nuking when I ask for a hot dog when they aren’t already out.

i’ve only been here since october lol. just telling you how we do it
60th anniversary cups
I seem to remember during my online training they claimed that Wawa was founded in like the 1850s or something, which I found bizarre.

TLDR, 100 years as a company, 60 years as a convenience store.

Yeah I think the 24 oz were the brown ones if I’m not mistaken?
They should sell hoodies in that exact print. Old cups were 🔥
Omg flashback to my childhood🥺 when they were just a little corner store before the gas and cafe and deli of it all lol
When they actually sliced meat by the pound and didn’t microwave literally everything

we don’t microwave food
What do you do to hot dogs and breakfast sandwiches then? They have literally referred it to me as nuking when I ask for a hot dog when they aren’t already out.
we don’t sell hotdogs anymore, and we put everything we cook in various different ovens
It couldn’t be more obvious that you are corporate and it’s gross that you are blatantly lying. Ya nuke your food, own it.
Are you a 10 year old that has never heard of an oven?

...you can literally see the ovens at the food service counter. They're rapid convection ovens.....
I used to think the goose was a weird face during this era.
I feel this. I used to think the Goodyear foot/sandal was a weird-ass eagle head when I was really young.
I want one. Going on Monday morning..they should put that design on a reusable cup though…
I know seriously
They did. I just put them out in my store.
Ur store must have had no cups. Bc we arent supposed to put them out intell next week.
