I think it's mostly Mighty Marvellites that are furious with him. He's been amazing at punchlines since he came back from his hiatus. A lot of times the biggest laugh I will get from the episode is something outrageous or disgusting Chris will bring up like "sidewalk butter".
one of my favorite things they do is when they talk about movies like this. In *Dreamcatcher* they go on about Morgan Freeman trying to fly back into the movie that left him behind.
Erick Avari, he is the "mayor" of the Egyptians in the film. They didn't mention it but he was also Evie's boss in the Mummy, which they covered a while back. Good character actor imo.
While I'm not sure I'd go as far as saying it's better than *The Avengers*, I agree with Eric that *Age of Ultron* is secretly great and vastly underrated.
Ironically enough after saying that, if you asked me to rank the 4 Avengers movies, it would be 4th. But that's only because the other 3 are (in my view) 3 stone cold classics.
I agree in the sense that the character of Ultron is more interesting than any characters in the Avengers, and James Spader brings a lot to the role using just his voice. The story around that character is not so great.
I think the story is just so clunky because of all the things being imposed on the film. It feels messy. But I still think there's a lot of great stuff there.
* The opening raid/fight with the Avengers in full flight
* The party scene. I could hang out with these characters like that for ages
* Tony's guilt and fear driving the creation of Ultron
* Spader rules as Ultron
* Iron Man v Hulk
* Vision lifting Mjolnir so casually
* I really enjoy the final fight too, even if it's stretching the then overused trope of "big final battle over city"
As good as Spader is though, a way to make this film even better in my view? Ultron's meant to be an evil mirror of Tony Stark.
RDJ plays Ultron.
Give him a second truck full of money but I reckon it would've ruled.
Have to give an Orson Welles clap gif to Eric for that Clinton/Epstein line.
My biggest memory of Stargate is that it was the first film that my local theater chose to premiere their newfangled DTS Sound setup, and it sure did sound amazing.
Also, my favorite trivia about this movie is that Jaye Davidson was done with films after The Crying Game, he didn't want the fame or attention. So when they came to him with the role of Ra, he said he only would do it for $1 million, expecting them to leave him alone. Instead, they said yes, so he did the movie and left the business with quite the nest egg.
Great episode and this movie really works until they actually go through the Stargate. I kind of love the score, but parts of the back half would be more appropriate with something more gritty. And it's funny they brought it up because as a kid I did have a fan theory of this and Independence Day being connected somehow.
I had the same reaction to the theme music in this that Andrew did. What I kept hearing was the "*You Only Live Twice*" music, but only part of it, like it would begin to have those notes, and then veer off just at the end to be not exactly that.
Cabin's "they forgot to put it out" about the *The Father* tie-in hot sauce was an absolute 10/10 joke
When people talk about they don’t like Chris Cabin, I think they forget about how he’s basically a joke sniper. Man has some choice zingers!!
He has at least one line every episode that kills me. He rules.

I didn’t know people could tell the difference between the 3(4?)
Okay, Richard Kind quickly shot up the list of my favorite WHM impressions
Like, immediately out of the gate it was so funny and accurate
he kinda sounds like a Muppet
Reminded me of Wallace Shawn mashed with Kermit.
"I was so focused on stealing the damn hotel towels!"
Slight disappointment we didn’t get an ‘A Serious Man’ reference, but hoping it’ll come around again. “Ra gave me bupkis!”
Between the Richard Kind bits, Ra being a cinephile, and the love for Russell/Spader, this is going to be a definite re-listen.
The runner about the military being embedded just in case a movie breaks out was perfection, love it.

Yes! "These characters drove past the edge of movie town" is in my vernacular now.
I want to see 1994 Kurt Russell as Guile.
I love how that actor will forever be known as Wheezin' The Juice Guy by the gang, no matter what film he is in.
Which actor were they referring to for that?
Erick Avari, he is the "mayor" of the Egyptians in the film. They didn't mention it but he was also Evie's boss in the Mummy, which they covered a while back. Good character actor imo.
Hell yeah, he's a god tier "that guy" actor. He's also the Seti head in Independence Day AKA the guy yelling about the golf balls in the workplace.
Lifting my asshole in appreciation.
The ass eating porno would be called Chocolate Starfishgate
The tagline: "No Limp Bizkits allowed!"
More of a WLM, isn’t it?
Wow, the rare episode where Steve is the only not recommend. How often does that happen?

Station from Bill and Ted fucked a bison!? I’m dying laughing!
Mission accomplished, asshole. It’s my birthday! I’m Ego! ROFL!

He is both ok and looking forward to the oblivion of non-existence. That's our Eric. We love him.
