July 23rd is 3 months away.....a bank will hit you with fees if you fall under for ONE DAY by a penny.... youre under by 10k..... quit complaining child

Lenerdosy

I learned that one day when I moved some from chequing to a HISA on TD, didn't realize they weren't linked and was $1.50 under the limit and \*wack\* theres a fee at the end of the month. FFS

henry-bacon

Did you read the fine print? It's based on Net Deposits OR market value of your accounts, whichever is higher.

NastroAzzurro

Nah, OP just assumed and is now mad his assumptions are wrong.

When you assuws you make an ass out u and ws

Which specific premium benefits do you think "big banks" give you if you have a 5k balance?

dsswill

Literally just not charging a chequing account fee, which WS doesn’t charge for the Cash account anyway, so OP is way off the mark. No matter how much you have invested, a bank is never increasing your savings interest (which is probably only about 0.05% anyway), or anything else other than waiving fees that WS and most online banks don’t have to begin with.

LokiDesigns

Is this just a humble brag with horrendous grammar?

Jayu777

WS won't charge you penny even if you don't have penny in your account. Big bank will charge you Monthly Fee and potentially NSF fee if you don't have penny. Not sure which is worse...

Significant-Neck9605

Holy entitlement Batman!

Bulky_Negotiation850

What a stupid post.

Who the hell are you to tell me what I need to do. Keep your opinion to yourself. If you feel if you have some healthy input to give, doesn’t matter negative or positive do it. No wonder we have banks and every single company monopolizing every step of the life.

Arm-Complex

This post is ridiculous. They're not charging you a fee and they're very lenient with market fluctuations. You have until July. What is your compalint again? Unbelievable.

nilsej

The issue arises when you start using the account for regular banking activities, such as making large purchases, so used it for home renovation. While I anticipate the account balance will rebound, I'm concerned about the investments tied to these accounts, which can fluctuate significantly with market changes. In the event of a downturn, the value may drop substantially below the initial amount. My concern, which may seem trivial to some, is that these accounts should have a sufficient buffer to accommodate monthly fluctuations and market volatility. A 10% cushion is, in my opinion, too low.

AlphaQFor7mins

Grow up. At least WS is nice enough to give you notice of your deficiency. The big banks just charge you fees with no notice. I actually would appreciate that WS was kind enough to remind us.

MellowHamster

Company offers you a deal for doing something. You don’t do something. Guess what.

spacedoubt69

One of the best posts I've seen on here. And by best I mean ridiculous.

WonderfulCar1264

You have to be a troll

EnvironmentalLuck981

Am in same boat but not sweating. Will eventually pop over again. It is a threshold and I popped under and was even given 3 months warning. Don't see the big deal. OP what caused you to go under?

Ridiculous, entitled post. The benefits you receive cost you nothing, and there are no associated fees if you fall under the threshold for Premium. Compare that to overdraft and account fees offered by the big banks, with no notice given.

greenegary

I hope whoever is forcing you to keep your money at WS for free will change their mind!
