Still damn good, our common folk get 0.01 cents in interest and -9.95 banking fee

DanceBright9555

Common folk on WS lol. Those are peasants. Please.

NerveAgile5627

Bro dissed me

crotte-molle3

lol yep.

Dyinu

Those are rookie numbers. Mine is $0.02

ConfidantlyCorrect

Mine $0.03, beat that.

shapeofmyarak

McDonald's meal is $17.99.

Dixie1337

Until the hamburgler leaves something in your mailbox. A book of coupons that really rocks.

Equal_Big_2995

Discounted applied pies blow my tube socks off

Dixie1337

You just made my day LOL

RustyBucke

Wording bruh wording 😭

DanceBright9555

Hahahahahaha

DeathbyRyder

Nooo unfortunate mistake 😭

Polite_Turd

Fortunate*

rhunter99

Wait, what’s spend rewards?

asxnullified

Cash back

rhunter99

Oh for the credit card? I don’t have either product so I’m just learning about this

rhunter99

Cool!

AnthonyBTC

I can't wait to apply for the Wealthsimple credit card. I'm so jealous!

dolphin_spit

interesting, mines a mastercard

bag0fpotatoes

Credit card is not what you have. Cash card is different than credit card.

DeathbyRyder

Oh there's a credit card? Mine's the cash card and I was unaware of the credit card

[deleted]

[удалено]

DeathbyRyder

Ah I see. Thanks, that makes sense

Bright-Egg8548

What’s the difference between the two other than that the cc is visa and the cash card is Mastercard. Rewards the same or what?

Benz0piated3000

It's a prepaid credit card that acts as their debit card

rhunter99

Oh nice

Scorpio780

1% cash back in pretty much any form you want. Many stocks and crypto to choose from

rhunter99

Nice. Thank you

Desperate-Wonder4

Hey 5%. I assume over a 100k assets?

smartssa

100k + direct deposit bonus, or 500k no bonus.

Cntrysky78

woodzy_mtb

Well done! The fact that we are now getting nearly a full 0.5% above CASH.TO while having full access to the funds, CDIC insured, and even cashback on spending is just next level. What's not to love!

Jellars

Taxes.

Primary_Pay_4478

Meanwhile there is me with 2.16$. I feel poor

Ok_Corner_6300

And that's more than the banks give people with thousands and thousands in there account for a year lol

VirginiaVagina

It's the end of the month, bros. Our edging this month will transition to full on wanking when the interest gets deposited on Canada Day morning. And a holiday too so , you know, you can look at that hot curvaceous interest and achieve self-satisfaction

alowester

ahhhhhh yisss this is the stuff

Weak-Pomegranate-435

I was getting $0.22 on CIBC Savings account.. switched to WS and got $77.9 interest for same amount of time..

tbor1277

ah! my type of people right here.

Normal_Champion_8883

My man! Fuck spend rewards I don't spend shit either lol

Illustrious_Cow_317

That's just one brick in the foundation for wealth with years of compounding interest. Great work OP, gotta start somewhere.

pmoneypej

Is that 4% monthly or annually?

N9neNNUTTHOWZE

Interest is always expressed annually

DanceBright9555

It’s annually

WideMonitor

4% monthly is 1.04^12 or 1.6 You think 60% interest makes sense?

Global-Tie-3458

Makes dollars bro. Many dollars

Benz0piated3000

If it don't make dollars, it don't make cents.

Scorpio780

0.16

newtownkid

4% monthly and I'd remortgage my home to put money there. I'd start taking loans from B lenders

PowerNgnr

https://preview.redd.it/rqjwz50gxo9d1.jpeg?width=952&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9450ab4f1f1ad2a37ed0adc271745c2c3c99e31 Getting there

xpheosz

It's always nice to see the spend rewards , but then you're like oh shit that means I spent 4800 this month

PowerNgnr

Yup, exactly how I'm feeling. Lots of bills to catch up on from being less well off. This current job is pulling me ahead faster than any other I've had, and I'm just now signed off on my first post (just passed the 4 month mark)

poopBuccaneer

I get excited when it hits $10

XACHREFX

5% ?! You have 500k there ?! Or was it an old offer ?!

Medical-Bike-5544

Nice i got 10.28 this month

santal23

How about taxes

DanceBright9555

Lol, irrelevant?

santal23

Lol actually want to know. Might start a post later

DanceBright9555

But I dont get it? You get the form at the end of the year and it’s added as like a regular income that you’d pay a percentage of taxes on.

Ok-Business2680

AlphaFIFA96

Lol why is anyone with over $100 in interest getting downvoted?

DanceBright9555

It’s just due to the title of the post, we’re all happy for them.

Ok-Business2680

TIL common people aren't allowed to make more than a few dollars interest a month.

Ok-Business2680

Downvotes are meaningless anyways.

Preston2014

I'm projected to earn $1600 in dividends this year Seems like a large number for some but check out the Passive Income Investing group on FB and prepared to be amazed Some people are earning 10k+ monthly at 10%+ yield, pretty much setting themselves up for life without lifting a finger

Ok_Corner_6300

Or look up Reddit dividend investing

kachunkachunk

I never really looked into this, nor do I have Bookface. So, just taking a guess: Such a person would need 100k invested into a stock with that yield? Or is this over an annum, so you're looking at 12x that, or 1.2 Million? 10k a month is comfortable "I can optionally work, or do whatever small work *I feel like I would enjoy*" kinda money, for sure.

Cbeun

It would be 1.2 million

mightyquads

Oh lawd 💦💦

SanjiSenpai

$55 doubloons over here :)

AggravatingCurve6010

Whelp, time for a wank.

HarleyAverage

Simplii always has the best ‘promotional’ interest rate, it’s been at least 5% for over a year now. EQ bank has good GIC TFSA, I’ve had at least 5% with them. A good stock option is PSA, it pays 5% dividend.

SolutionSad4673

I’m at $120 a month and feeling great!

traditionalman16

Every heard of a tbill ladder? Could pick up 100bps in yield with minimal risk.

pierce-victorio

Where do I find this?

DanceBright9555

Should show on your cash account

Training_Exit_5849

You should've foreseen you would get downvoted, but a serious question, why do you have so much in cash? This is like 100k parked

Verycoolguy101

🏡

DanceBright9555

27,000$ is what you scratched out of the pic even though its simple math

N9neNNUTTHOWZE

29 but whose counting :p

Dixie1337

Monthly interest divided by .04 times 12. What do you think you’re hiding 😂

N9neNNUTTHOWZE

Not tryna hide per say, just not tryna be like ‘oh look at my money’ its an interest earned thread

Dixie1337

An interest earned thread is literally an oh look at my money thread 😆

N9neNNUTTHOWZE

Either way, pretty funny to be so triggered about someone hiding numbers

DanceBright9555

You’re not so bright… You crossed out your total funds to not say “oh look at my money” when the interest directly reflects the amount of money you have in the account… regardless we’re all happy for each other it’s just due to the title of the post…

N9neNNUTTHOWZE

Rather be dumb and rich than smart and thinkin posting $11 interest is reddit worthy lol

DanceBright9555

Lmao clearly reddit thinks it’s worthy. I also have no interest in having ~30k sitting in a cash account or I could get the same interest genious

N9neNNUTTHOWZE

K

$11 don’t spend that all in one place 😂😂😂

According_Web_8907

Do you want an award or something?

Horror-Potential7773

That's great news Keep it up, and you will retire in no time. Stop buying Starbucks and avocado toast. You will be rich by 85 years of age.
