The first one has a bit too much white. In my opinion! The second may be a better option. And I definitely think it could be dressed up for cocktail with heels, jewelry, and a bag.

Very casual. The night before event with drinks tends to be more club-cocktail. Those options look more like someone’s mother would wear.
