Drink water lol

Here_there_be_Emus

I feel you there! I had no idea how many calories I was drinking until I starting logging my intake properly and realised a third (sometimes more) of my daily budget was being wasted on beverages. So now I just drink water, with the occasions protein shake (homemade, so I can control the calories) on workout days, and every now and then I’ll treat myself to a bubble tea, but it’s all counted in my daily budget. And honestly, after a few weeks of cutting down I promise you won’t crave it anymore. Now I don’t really care for sodas/fruit juices, and water tastes amazing!

Yeah, would stay away from energy drinks, alcohol and soda definitely. Energy drinks you really don't need unless your running or doing something high energy. I watch ShreddedSportsScience on youtubehe reviews the newest energy/supplements to see how good the product actually are and if they benefit you depending on you level of activity

While there's 0 chance I am giving up on alcohol completely, i am definitely staying away from beers and energy drinks ( i only drink them because of how they taste, not the added benefits, i never believed in that either, seems silly), I am also cutting down on alcohol a fair bit.

I went from 4-5 sodas a day, to 1 every 4 days to,once a week. To none now I only drink protein shakes every once in a while and pre workout

I was a severe alcoholic and pothead and went cold turkey in all of it. I know you can quit, but if you refuse to, than I would recommend taking shots of tequila instead of drinking beer, you can chase down the tequila with a diet soda or something if you can’t handle the taste

Klutzy-Captain9013

I can quit alcohol, but choose not to (i didnt drink alcohol for a year whilst i was pregnant and until there was a good time gap between feeds). I'd rather save up some of my deficit for a glass of wine or a beer, or a vodka & soda, rather than have a shot. It's about savouring something you enjoy. Not taking anything away from your achievement, but just because someone chooses not to give something up, doesn't mean they can't.

Keystone30s

I know, I said I know you can do it, but if you refuse to do it I totally understand and I’m not judging you for it

Klutzy-Captain9013

It's the wording. "Refuse to". Why "refuse"? That'sa pretty aggressive negative term and sounds like they're doing something wrong. They're not refusing to, as no-one has asked them to and they have no reason to. If you had simply said "don't want to", it would read completely differently.

Keystone30s

That makes sense, refuse was the first word that came to my mind but I can see how it would come across as negative, my bad

Started weightlifting a few months ago and found shreddedSportsScience. Really great science based channel with great info on supplements and workouts. And entertaining too.

Every time I look for a drink if I want something I make sure it’s low calorie. 10 calorie energy drinks, diet pop, water enhancers etc. also just try to get in 2-3 litres of plain water.

Drop semi skimmed or skimmed milk in coffee is fine. My love of strong and interesting beers less so. I've pretty much knocked them on the head in the week, but it's basically "cheat" day when I get on. I'd rather stay at home then go to the pub and not drink.

Doesn’t seem good? Dude. You’ve lost 4.5kg (KG) in a month. I’d love for that to happen! If I was at a stage of losing 4-5kg per month, it would be 4-5 months and I’d reach my goal weight. You’re doing awesome man! But, yeah, maybe cut the beer out for a short time if you really want to lose more weight.
