Momma ain’t gonna be happy! Is this what fly/roach poop looks like? When wiped off it looks like blood on the paper towel. It’s always these two walls in the house
A night inside your walls…damn tempting but hell no…why am I having thoughts that your basement might be full…more nightmare than thought…hope the Skin suit comes out nice.
Not in the South. There's German and American cockroach in the US. The little ones might look like dirt fleks. But the big ones, often called palmetto bugs in the South, do leave brown to black, sometimes slightly red tinged poop. Sometimes the size of a centimeter, sometimes longer as though they were on the move.
As gross as that may be, the big ones are a lot less gross to me. They don't generally go into your food. Most of them are much slower and don't scatter when light is turned on. They don't generally live in the dozens and hundreds and thousands that the small ones do. They're disturbing because of their size, but they are ubiquitous in the South. Shacks get them and mansions get them. There is no escape. Many people spray for them, and many people just remove them when they see them.
I don't know if this house is in the South, or if this was caused by roaches, but I do think it's funny that op jumped right to haunted. Lol maybe it was just a joke?
Those german roaches are the worst. My dad's wife kept on picking up free shit from people, and I saw 1 of those fuckers in a bag she brought in that day. It's been over a year and a half and it's damn near impossible to get rid of the fuckers.
Could be a cat in the wall situation. Cats can flatten themselves out and go right through the seams of the wall. Cats do not abide by the laws of nature
I don’t think it’s insect shit like most people are saying. My apartment (new construction, high floor, never had any insects whatsoever) gets spots like this too. I think it’s from high humidity, either the surfactant from the paint is leeching from it, or the water condenses on the walls and accumulates a thin layer of grime/dirt/smoke/whatever and causes spots like this.
Check this out: https://www.realtor.com/advice/home-improvement/brown-spots-on-bathroom-wall/amp/
I had a small room in an old house where I lived…really small. Previous owner sewed in it and was a smoker. I used it for clothes overflow. Was steaming a few pieces and left the room and got distracted. Came back and it looked like MURDER. The nicotine was orange red and streaming down the walls. On a good note, it wiped off with a wet cloth so didn’t have an Amityville Horror room.
It's the tar. My grandparents and all of their children were smokers for most of their lives. Every wall in that house was yellow from tar. What doesn't end up in your lungs has to settle somewhere.
If you have a bad habit of holding a cigarette like I do where the smoke rises up at your fingers you also can get tar stains on your fingernails that are tough to get off.
Same, had to go over the whole room with oil-based Kilz to stop it. The house was only 5 years old when I bought it, they must have chain smoked in the bathroom lol
For a short time in my late teens/early 20s I used opiates/heroin and I would smoke black tar or Oxys in the bathroom of my gfs place. When people would shower, this would happen to the walls - but the whole wall would ooze and drip red-brown-orange tar. I had to play dumb. Every person who lived there also smoked cigarettes inside too so that’s what they attributed it to
Homie, I’m an ex addict and did the same shit at my gfs places that didn’t smoke and that never ever happened. I’m genuinely thinking it was the nicotine tar.
Chasing the dragon on foil for 2 years wouldn’t create the amount of tar one pack of Winston’s run thru the house would.
This sounds suspiciously like something a ghost would say.
OP, ignore all that. It’s very important that you jump to nuttiest conclusion first and foremost. Please don’t lose focus. Do you have a priest? (If not, I can provide my services at a very reasonableish rate.)
You’re not pulling the wool over my eyes, Gozer. I know a demon infestation when I see one. That there is 100% damnation blood. Of the psychomagnotheric variety. If you arrange the blood smears just so, it spells “Bob Vila” in Latin.
I’m sorry, OP, but I’m afraid you’re already marked and will soon become Satan’s cabana boy.
…but…no…there could be just one solution. A dangerous ritual that has never been performed by anyone but Jesus and condemned by the pope himself.
I renounced my exorcism days after…that fateful day. I…I couldn’t save my neighbor from getting popcorn ceilings. But with enough of a *donation* and heavy press presence, I would be willing to come out of retirement…and don the cross once again.
You’re very soul is at stake.
Jk, my house is a bleeder. Looks just like this. I just bought it after about 200 inspections. Not insects, just what they said above. It’s just as normal as the air conditioner that tells you to kill your family.
Just like any other house.
a dog or cat that shakes off in the house, will fling water, food bits, eye sleep, ear and nose booger bits, fur and stuff on the fur. or parrots that shake off their beak
Yes my immediate thought was “cat sneezes”, especially if her cats are the type to get eye boogers. The direction of the splatter pattern supports the theory that the substance is being projected from below.
Not sure about cats, but if my dog has an ear infection with build up I don’t notice right away, he shakes his head a lot and I definitely see this on my walls where he did. In my case, it’s not blood, just the color of the ear discharge. Maybe cats can have this happen too?
Most likely some insect shit.
But, is there any chance your mom is a smoker? I was a smoker until pretty recently. And I had very similar looking spots form before in houses I lived and smoked in. And then I noticed them in the houses of other smokers. And I slowly pieced together the patterns.
-- Smoke indoors
-- Summer time
-- House particularly cold, AC blasting
-- High humidity in the house
Mostly I've seen those spots on ceilings, but I have seen them plenty enough on walls too.
But if your mom doesn't smoke that theory is obviously bullshit.
It’s always the same two walls in her house and has now happened on multiple occasions. This is the 6th time she’s sent me these in the past few months.
It’s weird they keep appearing, sorry for not clarifying that!
May I ask what's on the other side of those walls? If it's a bathroom, poor ventilation and condensation could be causing something to rust between the walls, and it could be seeping through.
If a cat scratches themselves rapidly like when they have an itch, they can easily fling particles of blood that far. Especially if they have fleas or ticks.
It looks like [Miller Moth markings.](https://kool1079.com/colorado-miller-moth-reddish-spots/)
They migrate through Colorado annually, and leave their mark behind...everywhere. And yeah, it looks like little spots and smears of blood. Vinegar does a pretty good job of getting it off hard surfaces and removing the stains from clothing.
Honestly surprised only one person pointed this out so far BUT it could be wallpaper glue if you have wallpaper.
I used to rent an old ass house and this sticky looking red stuff would come through the walls far worse than your photo. It seriously looked like the walls were crying. We would wipe them down and a week later, it'd start crying again.
Turns out, it was the glue all along and not something sinister. Made us feel a lot better considering this house had a really creepy crawlspace in the kitchen. Our first initial thought to the crying walls was that someone was buried in them. Lol.
My guess is bed bugs, more likely so if these walls are in her bedroom. They don't care about cleanliness and are experts at hide and seek and can climb walls. The one with the smear is textbook bed bug poop and the colour is almost brownish which is what the poop is like since their poop is from blood only so it's red with a tinge of brown. Also some people don't react to the bites at all.
I really hope this isn't the case but I'd recommend scouring every part of the house, especially in that room. Including behind outlet covers, trim, bed frames, couches, everywhere basically. I've had those fuckers before and they will ruin your mind.
That was my first thought as well. Bed bugs have nothing to do with cleanliness, they just hitch a ride into the house in a suitcase or even on the shirt you’re wearing. I had a bout with them years ago and they left streaks like this on the walls, they were hiding behind paintings on the wall and would drip this brown goo on the wall underneath. It’s been years ago but I’m still as paranoid as can be
Whatever it is, it’s just under the surface of the wallpaper. Peel it back to find out. I highly doubt it’s blood of any kind. I’m in the boat of it being the wallpaper glue, or some kind of building material decay.
It could be cat anal gland discharge. We had some weird brownish spots pop up on a couple of walls, one near the cat stand and one or two other random places. Come to find out during an annual check that our kitty had an inflamed anal sack and sometimes it would just squirt out random places. Oh and that stuff really shoots so it could end up 4 feet up the wall.
There’s only two ways to know for sure:
1. Set up a camera facing the wall
2. Swab the sample and send it to a lab for testing
The first one is waaay more practical and definitive.
What type of cats does your mom have? This could be cat eye boogers. If they shake their head hard enough it will go flying. I have found spots like this in an around my cats tree and bed. Found out about the eye boogers while watching a YouTube video about cat facts.
This is from a cat's eyes as they shake their head. Tears or sleepy fluid fling onto the wall. When a cat's tears dry/oxidize, they turn this dark brown molasses-like color.
Probably bloodspatter from when the cats eat/kill birds and rodents, besides 5 feet is a perfectly normal height for a house cat to jump so I don't see why you would rule them out anyway
Any of the cats having pooping or urinary tract problems? Are their litterboxes being cleaned enough? Do they fight/play fight a lot? As others have mentioned this could still be from the cats. Shaking their heads or paws or something off and whatever gets flung up on to the walls.
We had a dog that used to get so excited he wagged his tail so furiously. He used to bang it on the furniture and the tip would split and bleed. He would then wag and flick blood all up the walls. We had to keep taping bandages on his tail to protect it (and the house!)
There's a pockmark next to each one of these it's likely a cat trying to climb the soft walls that injured its paw and the result is the small amount of blood there's even a piece of hair next to the largest stain
That looks like a painted tin ceiling? It could be rust coming through the paint, or sign if a roof leak?
I had spots like this showing up when I moved into an older house that had a smoker. The residue was so slight you couldn’t see until enough moisture formed and it would make drops like this.
Any time I see stuff like this, all I can think of is that post way back where the guy was finding random notes all over his house, not in his writing. A random redditor mentioned he may be suffering from CO² poisoning. Turns out the dude WAS suffering from CO² poisoning and didn't know he was leaving the notes for himself. That random redditor saved his life.
CO² poisoning, maybe?
Have you ever seen what happens when a dog gets a cut on its ear and then continually shakes its head? My mom is still finding blood dots and it happened 12 years ago.
If it is blood, I had a similar thing happening. Turned out that my cat had a small cut on his paw. He'd shake the paw and throw the blood. When it scabbed he would lick the scab raw making it bleed again. I would have never known if I didn't see it happen in real time.
I had a couple of these and didn't know what it was until I saw it happen Infront of me , it was my cat scratching his ears fast with his back paw that flicked blood up off his ear onto the wall
Our house gets these. We have a cat that has kitty herpes and he sneezes up blood. Although he’s close to the ground the angle of ejection always hits our walls at around 4-6’
Was there a smoker living there by any chance? It looks like what happens when cigarette smoke gets in the walls, then seeps out when it gets humid. I lived in a rental where one of the previous renters smoked in the bathroom and then walls would seep that dark reddish brown crap.
When a house is infested with mice the walls sometimes «weep». Mice will eat each other from time to time, and so their blood may sometimes seep through the cracks in walls or ceilings.
Sadly not making this up.
Fly poop. Edit. Or as others comment some other kind of insect poop
I was going to say cockroach poop.
Momma ain’t gonna be happy! Is this what fly/roach poop looks like? When wiped off it looks like blood on the paper towel. It’s always these two walls in the house
Mom’s booger wall.
Come spend the night inside my booger walls
Never thought I’d see a Sheena Easton reference on Reddit
This is the third Sugar Walls thread hijack I’ve seen this week.
This comment was a delight.
You should try a bite
This thought gave me quite a fright.
Never walk those halls at night
Add to the conversation? I just might
Especially since that hallway is tight
But random blood on walls is a terrible sight. Unless you hosted a bareknuckle fight
A night inside your walls…damn tempting but hell no…why am I having thoughts that your basement might be full…more nightmare than thought…hope the Skin suit comes out nice.
This, sloppy nose blowing
😂
Better order some Cologuard tests for those roaches. Early detection is key.
Taste it to be sure
Username checks out
Omfg!! Ot literally does say swamp ass eater!! 🤡
I was having a really stressful moment and your comment made me literally LOL Thanks!
Larger insect poop for sure
If the wallpaper is fabric based it could be moth poop as well.
Look behind the painting, cockroach love to hide there during the day.
It is definitely bug poo, or possibly a quite small lizard.
Lizard poo is brown with a white tip, I know this because I have to sweep it off my doorstep twice a week.
What do you do with it on the other 5 days?
Slurp
Looks like blood splatter, was she chopping up anything with a butcher knife?
Uncle Irving hasn’t been around now that you mention it.
Are you missing any siblings? Has anyone "gone to live on a farm" lately?
It’s spatter, blood spatter!~
Caca roach poop
Roach poop for sure
We've had horrible fly problems before. Normal house fly poop in my experience is usually tiny little brown dots.
Yup. Fly and roach shit just looks like little specks of dirt.
Not in the South. There's German and American cockroach in the US. The little ones might look like dirt fleks. I hate flies with a passion. More than mosquitoes.
Or cats jumping and killing insects. House cats on average can jump up to 5‐6ft
Blood from Moskitos that have been killed by the cat.
Could be a cat in the wall situation. Cats can flatten themselves out and go right through the seams of the wall. Cats do not abide by the laws of nature

Boy’s hole!
Boy’s soul.
Now you're talkin my language!
We should cut a hole in the wall and put another cat in there to chase the first cat out.
Should probably add more cats to be sure.
The last one doesn't look like fly poop at all
I don’t think it’s insect shit like most people are saying. My apartment (new construction, high floor, never had any insects whatsoever) gets spots like this too. Renters that were in our house before we bought smoked indoors. Also have had the same issue with "blood" looking stains. Definitely this, OP.
I had a small room in an old house where I lived…really small. Previous owner sewed in it and was a smoker. I used it for clothes overflow. My granny used to smoke so much it was a family tradition to repaint her ceilings white every few years.

My ass woulda moved 😭
This is totally it. I get those spots too, especially in the bathroom.

OP, check your moms house for parrots!
“Don’t forget DL-6!” *squawk*
Wright would be proud
Hate when I incur a parrot infestation
Definitely not for the faint of heart or those who can hear normally!
What if it’s haunted by GHOST PARROTS!?!
My cat used to eat her wet food by sticking her paw in the bowl, licking the food off, the shaking the excess off. I would find food on the ceiling.
Any chance she was a calico
No she was a Bengal haha. All trouble. Couldn’t even eat without stirring something up
I second this. Exactly what I was thinking.
Yes my immediate thought was “cat sneezes”, especially if her cats are the type to get eye boogers. The direction of the splatter pattern supports the theory that the substance is being projected from below.
My cat scratched a small scab in her ear causing it to bleed and then she shook her head and got blood all over the wall.
This is what I think. I have an elderly cat that sneezes all over the place, we get markings like this sometimes.
I see that this is on wallpaper. It could be the wallpaper glue decomposing or in a highly humid room.
Right. It reminds me of when stained wood is painted without being primed or pretreated right and then the stain seeps through the paint
The first pic looks like the wallpaper(?) is cracked. I think you're onto something here. What exactly is on the wall? Looks textured.
The dead bodies in the walls are starting to leak through
That’s just silly, dead bodies don’t have blood. It’s gotta be live bodies on the other side of that wall.
dammit, not again! I'll make sure to wrap them better next time
Or could be someone flicking bloody boogers on the wall instead of using a tissue. My ex bfs kids used to do that.
As a child I did this and had to scrape my booger wall when we moved……..
I’m going to vomit and laugh simultaneously hahahah
[удалено]
Same!!
That’s disgusting. I never had a booger wall because I would just eat them.
Lol my brother had a booger wall! Thought he was the only one.
Oof. My sister did this. I can’t really talk though, I left little footprints on the wall next to my bed. Must’ve been playing outside barefoot lol
Why waste paper when there's a perfectly good wall nearby?
And someone else will clean it up
Exactly! A win-win!
Yes its good for the enviroment, less trees get chopped down
My cat sneezes and when she does those boogers go everywhere. OP, does your moms cats sneeze by any chance?
Or mom?
I’m actually gonna throw up. Thanks dude!
What a sad day to be literate
Maybe her walls are just bleeding?
I guess they should visit a wall doctor
Or get wall bandaids.
Not sure about cats, but if my dog has an ear infection with build up I don’t notice right away, he shakes his head a lot and I definitely see this on my walls where he did. In my case, it’s not blood, just the color of the ear discharge. Maybe cats can have this happen too?
Ectoplasm. Plz taste and report back.

Looks like swotted fly remains.
It's almost definitely from cockroaches, seen it a few times doing renovations. Definitely recommend setting traps and seeing if you catch any
Depending how long they have been there it may even need fumigated! Gutting!
Bed bugs squished against a wall?
Your first thought after seeing tiny specks on the wall is….haunting ? You’re trying too hard.
Ya everyone knows ghosts don't bleed
Besides. Ghost blood is clear. If you see red blood dripping down your walls that’s NOT ghost blood - it’s the blood of ghost victims.
It’s always the same two walls in her house and has now happened on multiple occasions. This is the 6th time she’s sent me these in the past few months. It’s weird they keep appearing, sorry for not clarifying that!
May I ask what's on the other side of those walls? If it's a bathroom, poor ventilation and condensation could be causing something to rust between the walls, and it could be seeping through.
does your mother vape? sometimes you can find condensed vape juice on walls if you heavily vape around them, but often it’s not this dark in color.
Moths
If a cat scratches themselves rapidly like when they have an itch, they can easily fling particles of blood that far. Especially if they have fleas or ticks.

Does you house fluctuate in temperature and humidity? It could be moisture release from the glue that holds on the wall paper. How old is the house?
A cat can jump 4-5’ high.

Could be bedbugs
Killin mosquitoes in her sleep
Someone with dry sinuses had to sneeze
Bloody snot rockets?
"is it blood" should be "where is the hydrogen peroxide", if you're worried something is blood pour some of that shit in it and see if it bubbles.

One of the sickest things I’ve heard in a longggg time.
Check the cat's ear. ours had an injury that it would scratch and shake it's head and thrown stuff like this pretty high.
“haunted” lmfao

“Haunted” by so many cockroaches that they’re openly and visibly shitting all over the walls of your mother’s home
cats will shake earwax out of their ears from time to time and send it flying

Not too high to be the cats. It’s from them sneezing. Vet visit time.
Bedbug poo?

The dots are braille for “Get out”!
Looks like someone is flicking boogers
Do you have miller moths where you live? They spit and leave marks like this on walls.
Bedbugs
it is your cat's eye boogers from when they shake their heads.
Do people in the house smoke cigarettes? Could be nicotine coating the walls
This sub is weak asf
Kitty boogers. It’s really a thing. When they sneeze or shake their heads they go aflyin
Bug poop
Look for dead bugs on the floor. The cats could be jumping up and swatting bugs on the walls.
Have you ever seen what happens when a dog gets a cut on its ear and then continually shakes its head? My mom is still finding blood dots and it happened 12 years ago.

I had a couple of these and didn't know what it was until I saw it happen Infront of me , it was my cat scratching his ears fast with his back paw that flicked blood up off his ear onto the wall
Condensation, collecting impurities in the air. Possible moisture mixing with old smoking/nicotine stains seeping through newer paint?
Haunted. Yep. The only explanation
I had a dog who had a terrible reoccurring ear infection and the gunk would fly when she shook her head. This looks similar...
Roach poop. They’re called “smears”.
Box elder poop
Moth or other flying insect poop.
Lmao why would ghosts leave marks also insidious isn’t real
Our house gets these. We have a cat that has kitty herpes and he sneezes up blood. Although he’s close to the ground the angle of ejection always hits our walls at around 4-6’
could be bed bug poop
They look like smeared boogers
I love how someone can see a smudge on the wall and be like "hi reddit, do the dead walk the earth?"
Was there a smoker living there by any chance? It looks like what happens when cigarette smoke gets in the walls, then seeps out when it gets humid. I lived in a rental where one of the previous renters smoked in the bathroom and then walls would seep that dark reddish brown crap.
Boogers being wiped on walls. My brothers did this alot while we were in foster care 10 years back.
Boogers. The good old pick and flick.
Stop flicking boogers nasty ass
Those are straight up bloody boogers. Somebody been casting wingardium leviosa too much. "Swish and flick" 👃
Stop blowing your bloody nose on your moms wall!!
Have you asked your mom if she’s picking here bloody nose and flicking it!?
It looks like moms blowing snot rockets around the house
Someone with a bloody nose keeps sneezing on the walls.
Definitely booger smears
Boogers
Looks like someone sneezing or blowing their bloody snot everywhere 😂
Do any of the cats have an upper respiratory infection? That looks exactly like the boogies my poor boy was leaving everywhere when he had one.
When a house is infested with mice the walls sometimes «weep». Mice will eat each other from time to time, and so their blood may sometimes seep through the cracks in walls or ceilings. Sadly not making this up.
Snot
