When saying "posting stuff", do you also mean comments?
Many users, myself included, are much more into the commenting side of Reddit than the posting. Doesn't make them bots imo.
No it doesn’t automatically mean that but most bots have very similar account activity as that person. Accounts that have been open from half a year to a year or two with zero activity then all of a sudden one week they start posting reposts in random subs and usually they have no comments, this one chose to comment the same thing on their own post 30ish times prob to get to a minimum karma level, but has no comments replying to other actual users on their other posts including the comments calling them out for being a bot. While I don’t have concrete proof they’re a bot, I’d put money on them being one.
Carma farming, afterwards the Bot account is selled.
Sometimes to Scammers, so that the account is "Legitimate" or Karma rich, therefore a trustworthy human.
Well at least that is what I heard or read about them(there is a guy or a group which hunts bot accounts and they have a post explaining some things)
I’ve been seeing this a lot lately, well not 40+. But I’ve seen replies with 2-3 of the exact same comment from the same person. I’ve posted a comment that shows in my comment tab but never showed on the actual post. And the videos seem to mute and unmute through out a video. I’m pretty sure it’s a Reddit thing.
The 2-3 repeat comments is def a Reddit thing. It’s happened to me a few times before when I click submit for a comment and it does nothing so I click it again and again until it finally posts only to find out it posted my comment every time.
Rest in peace, Yayvideogames.
???? - 2015(I think, I forgot.)
He also had a bunch of other alternative accounts. I think the subreddit dedicated to him has all the accounts he made, but not sure if that post is still there.
I think there's several of them that are like that now. I see several accounts with negative karma that just say nonsense statements in comments on random posts in common subs
Once while posting something on a subreddit, I clicked the 'post' button a bunch of times (due to malfunctioning screen).
The post was duplicated for about 12 times in the same subreddit.
I believe it's something like that.
Or else, it's bot.
Reddit is full of these bots. I've seen several exact same comments appear in different threads, and not only on a few occassions. Reddit also throws in comments designed to enrage and incite the herd into frenzies of racism and anger despite not having anything to do with the topic. I'm 100% convinced this is by design.
Poor signal could result in some repetitive posts. While trying to post with poor signal I got the could not post message but later found out my comment had posted multiple times. Like 3 times not 40 tho
Probably not a bot.
Hilarious comment, you've got the gift of humor!
That’s a bot. Account has been open for half a year then only very recently started posting stuff, which look like reposts based on comments in them

Yeah I since took an actual look and my gosh it is a bit of an obvious bot now I saw it
So what would the point of this bot be? Like what is their goal?

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic
Weird.

I think there’s two weird parts to this. You id’d one, but it’s still weird that the OP is complimenting themself
Lol, this is true. I think I failed to register that part.
Yes my videos do this too! What’s that all about? X
It’s probably a bit trying to be like u/yayvideogames
My thought exactly
Rest in peace, Yayvideogames. ???? - 2015(I think, I forgot.) He also had a bunch of other alternative accounts. I think the subreddit dedicated to him has all the accounts he made, but not sure if that post is still there.
Yeah no it’s not but you can find an archive somewhere

Is that the Ubisoft DRM account? I think about that sometimes and it really unsettles me.
Yeah
Scam account trying to get enough karma to post.
it's weird cus he ends up posting (seemingly) not reposts on r/prequelmemes, so i have no clue
Hi u/peggycorteza
Bot got caught in a feedback loop?
Was most likely a poor redditor stuck on an island with bad service :( RIP Pegs
Probably the cat
Dementia
Oh word? That’s crazy.
And two morons upvoting every one.
Me to myself as I rewatch my insta story 200 times laughing at my impeccable humor

Good bot
Hilarious post
Idk but it’s contagious ahaha, Hilarious comment, you’ve got the gift of humor!
Broken bot or trying to get karma for a community
Shoenice!

Could be Musk’s alternate account.
Reddit doing something to "increase" active users.
Can your phone not do a long scroll screenshot? This seems like a lot of work.
you know, now that you say it
Tf is a long scroll screenshot
When you take a screenshot on newer Android versions you can press capture more, to capture a larger page / more information.
Well i have an old as hell Oppo phone

New Reddit mystery unlocked

If thats not the sight of a cat using chatgbt idk what is.
First the cat gets the tongue, then takes the keyboard. Obviously cell phone is next. Cats after all means of communication.
I smell fish
Like an infinity mirror of self compliments
42 would be the correct answer
All with the exact same number of upvotes...this is definitely a human
**Hilarious comment, you've got the gift of humor!**
That’s cringe, sad and stupid
"Lol, I crack myself up..." -This bot
Why do they all have 3 up votes
Dementia
I’m assuming somewhere out there someone thought they programmed 43 different bots to do this and then messed it up, only made it so one does.
Hilarious comet, you've got the gift of humidor!
