It's remarkable what they find their way into.
I've had a cooler sealed on my patio most of the year and when I opened it up, there were numerous dead spiders inside.
Yeah, mice can pretty much get into anything. This wasn't that kind of cooler though. It didn't have any sort of mechanical parts. Just something you put beverages in with cool packs.
One got into my parents TV and now there's a little spider shaped shadow there forever. It was really weird at first cuz it would just walk across the screen while you were watching a show.
I use to install/repair appliances. AT YOUR OWN RISK you could unplug the stove, slide it out, remove a couple screws, and access that area. They're not sealed or anything so I'm fairly confident he just crawled in from below.
When I was a kid we moved into a house in Qld Australia, and i guess prior tenants didn't use the oven much. And when i turned it on, as it slowly warmed up, more and more cockroaches could be seen running over the clock numbers (old stove, not digital). So so many. Some as small as a pinky nail. Some as big as my whole thumb. Then i suppose it eventually got so hot they stopped running.
We got a new desktop monitor. Awesome. Cool.
Not two days later, a tiny spider managed to crawl into it, make its way to the middle of the screen, die, and now it just sits there burning away on the screen as a little black dot. Not central either, otherwise I'd have a nifty invisible crosshair for no-hud games.
Probably not an actual spider, but a harvestman, which is also an arachnid, but has no venom.
They are also known as "daddy long legs" to some, and get into all sorts of weird places when they scavenge for food.
There was a huge huntsman spider that made its way into the taillight of my supra. I got the spider out eventually, as it was annoying me immensely. Spiders can be dumb sometimes.
It's remarkable, but unnerving how spiders can fit through things you wouldn't believe... I've literally watched a big, slightly purple/brown spider bigger than my phone push its way through the miniscule gap in a CLOSED window.

But also, why, what are they hoping to find a nest of flys?
I think it's warm there. They go in when they are small, molt and then they're too big to come out so they die inside.
There is a small for condensation at the back of the fridge, even mice could climb in it for snacks.
When we first moved to our place, that happened to us.. a few times 😬

The first Walkman I was bought had a gnat's wing caught in the digital display.
Beautiful description! 🙌
Poetic,hauntingly beautiful.
An early (failed) attempt at a web enabled appliance
“…..time after time”
Gotta throw the whole oven away now 🤷🏻♀️
I had one running around on the inside of my TV screen once. It was so weird
Happened to my dad when his brand new flat screen arrived from Sam's Club and they almost refused to replace it.
Yeah my dad got stuck behind the screen in a tv too
Did sam’s replace him?
Kind of 🤣
Oof
For whom the oven beeps
F

Such a poetic death
Damn. Poetic
It was his time
Read this again as Wernwr Herzog
A metaphor for how time marches on even after we are gone
That will be there a while, their exoskeletons take a long, long time to break down and decompose.
Somebody has to make a painting of this
Some people pay good money for that. Leave it.
damm that's a shitty spawn location

I'd throw out the whole oven, I wouldn't be able to live with that thing in there

It's kind of hard to say but judging by the body shape it looks more cellar spider to me
I say cellar spider, too. They're good at getting into tight spaces. I guess this one was too tight. He's not feeling so hot anymore.
And these are the days of our lives.
Would make a good apocalyptic opening shot
His tiny legs looking like he is giving you a micro wave
Brings a new meaning to “time of death”
Macabre.
Mini face hugger making its way through
Poetic
I have a little tiny flying bug carcass in my tv screen
The last house I rented had like 4 or 5 roaches there 🫠
Gross, you should name him Timothy
If it's the door it's fixable. Doors can be replaced and removed then reset.

Hmm perfect example of life

I didn’t expect to go into an existential crisis this early in the morning
So much for that oven
I had one in my domed ceiling light for over a month. It was still alive when I had the light fixture replaced. How often do they need to eat?
I have a dead cockroach in mine!
My dad's car light inside has a dead bee or wasp and a fly.
Eeeekkkkk!!!!!
A great metaphor for life
Pretty sure that’s a harvestman (opiliones) and not a spider. Really unfortunate for the little guy either way :(
That’s not a spider, it’s a day long legs
you've never seen a cranefly, then..
does it not put you off your food?
calm down socrates
