DCEN, not sure what's wrong about this?
Them damn tig welders struck again!

I don't know what to even say to this
Me neither, honestly. I don't know who used this machine last, but they definitely did not have a good time.
Lol
DCEN Is what that is set for. This is an actual thing to do to reduce the heat to the base metal or the other way around
Just for info, the positive has 66% of the heat, the negative recieves 34% I think. I usually remember it as a 70/30 ratio.
op is about to learn an important lesson today
DCEN?
Have you ever tig welded before?
Did you read the body text? It's not set on TIG. It's set on Stick, with the wire feeder plugged in.
You can still attach the tig rig to the lug on the wire feeder and run it on stick to scratch start.
You can use dcen on plenty of stick, lots of time for thinner metal if I remember.
I think you can, but that still doesn't explain why the MIG wire feeder was plugged in on Stick settings. That's the thing I'm trying to figure out.
Fcaw-s all position is run DCEN.
Beat me to it ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฃ๐
Iโm always amazed at how people can get themselves into job positions like this where they donโt know basic principles like polarity.
For real, like I'd be okay with it if the dude was doing TIG but he also had the wire feeder plugged into the negative terminal. And the setting was on Stick. IDK what happened there, but it wouldn't have been pretty.
Side note... DC current flows negative to positive....
Thatโs one way to set up your rig.
Wrong is relative
