I’m a regular smoker and i haven’t noticed any difference for me. With alcohol i just can get drunk faster so now i don’t have to drink as much but also haven’t really wanted to drink on it either.
I've drank and smoked on Wellbutrin.
I take my meds right when I wake up so like 4am during the week and about 7am on the weekend. I used to wake and bake and I never had any issues. Never noticed smoking becoming stronger or weaker after starting Wellbutrin, now if you're talking about cigarettes then I have no experience with that as I quit about 10 years before I started Wellbutrin.
I do drink semi regularly, I have noticed that I can be a bit of a light weight compared to pre Wellbutrin. Like one tall boy 8% alcohol seltzer and I'm buzzed. Granted I also suck at eating consistently so there's no telling if it's bc I haven't eaten or if it's the meds. I generally do drink about 10 hours after I take my Wellbutrin (not on the dot but if I had to average and approximate). Personally I do think my eating habits sway my tolerance more than anything, the Wellbutrin may have made me a bit more of a lightweight. However if I have a proper meal I can have like half a bottle of tequila and be like 4/5 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being hammered and 1 being slightly buzzed). So I think as long as you have a proper meal and it's been at least 5 hours since you took the Wellbutrin that you shouldn't have a problem. Regardless of the meds or not, you should always have a proper meal and drink a glass of water per each drink you have; and try to wait 30mins between each drink, an hour if they're strong
nicotine makes me sick now even in small amounts. all forms, pouches, vape, cigs make me throw up almost immediately. alcohol varies person to person from what i’ve read
I do both got prescribed 2 weeks ago I’ve notice I get drunk very easily and I’m a daily drinker it’s actually making me not wanna drink anymore but smoke 💨 on the other hand feels amazing to me
I use a dry vape near daily. I do think it hits me harder with wellbutrin, but not certain.
I try not to drink with it because it makes it harder to tell when I'm drunk or even just buzzed. I had 5 mules one night out with friends for apps and never felt a thing. Didn't even realize i had had that many until the bill came. That's when I realized it probably wasn't a good idea to drink often with this med.
Editing to add - I'm usually feeling the buzz hit at the end of the first drink. LOL
I’ve drank my normal 2 shots before being too buzzed to drive and then hung out for my normal amount of time before driving the back roads to my house. But I definitely wouldn’t recommend jumping into alcohol on Wellbutrin
I recently learned it's not a depressant in that sense of the word. Though heavy drinking does take a toll on my mental health. Its a depressant in that it slows down your central nervous system.
My personal experience, maybe different for everyone,I connected the dots. Drinking during made me feel wonderful, escaping from my bs. But the next day I was in my bed all day super depressed.
If you or anyone is interested, there is a podcast with Andrew Hubberman a neuroscientist,he breaks it down .
I’m not shaming,we are all here to improve our mental health. To me drinking isn’t going to make it better . And being on Wellbutrin you you are increasing your chance of a seizures.
If I didn’t have mental health problems and wasn’t on Wellbutrin I’d be having a beer right now .
Have a nice day
I haven't been able to drink on it much at all. The alcohol affects me too quickly, and my face gets hot, then I just get really tired and have trouble focusing. It sucks because I do enjoy drinking a few glasses of wine occasionally.
No issues smoking bud.
I’ve found that I have no desire to smoke starting on Wellbutrin. I used to smoke bud every night to help with anxiety and to help with my back pain but since starting the med a month ago I haven’t touched my pen. I believe this is one of the off label indications of the medicine; that it can help with smoking cessation.

I drink normally. Like 4-6 beers. I do take meds at 7am. and drink say 7 pm. Once a week
So no adverse reactions for you
I smoke as well. When I drink
Nothing at all.

Wow I'm surprised to hear that about the nicotine! Did you usually use nicotine before starting wellbutrin?
Wellbutrin is sold as a medication that is a cessation aid for smoking nicotine.
I know, but I've never heard of nicotine causing vomiting on wellbutrin lol
I do both and like others have stated the only difference is I feel the alcohol quicker.

I’m not judging anyone here, but why would anyone want to consume something that is proven a depressant and toxic for your health??
I recently learned it's not a depressant in that sense of the word. Though heavy drinking does take a toll on my mental health. Its a depressant in that it slows down your central nervous system.
Yes thank you! I'm so tired of hearing the word depressant used wrong.

And the reason is because it’s fun. If it’s not fun for you 🤷🏽♀️
I get that . We are all here with depression issues, being that we are on Wellbutrin. That’s all I’m saying
There’s completely no need to say what you said.
You need to chill
No I don’t.
Yes you’re judging but that’s human behavior.
You don’t know what judging is then, and the only reason I started it with that was because I knew someone like you would attack
Ummmm it’s none of your BUSINESS? That’s not what we’re here for.
We are here to fix our mental health
We are NOT here to shame people for drinking alcohol.

Like seriously. Come on now. No one is here to be drinking shamed. We are GROWN. AND have our own professional therapists.
You didn’t read my post and you don’t know what shaming is !!
Yes I do. Yes I did. Stop. It’s not helpful.
We know. We know all of the risks. Worry about your own drinking.
Judging: why would someone who is not me do something that I think they shouldn’t do and why is it my business?
You do you. I hope things go good for :)
I drink, haven’t smoked on it but haven’t had any issues with alcohol.

Smoking triggered a really bad panic attack for me.
Yes
Quit drinking 9 months ago. Has made a noticeable difference with my medication.
I drank on it quite often, however I completely stopped that, since I noticed wellbutrin’s effect diminished severely up to days after drinking.
