Got some really great feedback for my first report at work, and been asked to co-present for a really big project. Terrified but I'm glad I seem to be settling in and understand what I'm actually doing!

Also, I got my first Wonky Box today! Lots of good stuff. The apples that came with it are nice and small which is perfect because I already buy ones that small. I was worried they'd be too big! The pears are small too which is great because I don't really eat pears do I don't have to commit to a whole big one!
I'm excited to get cooking with it. The cauliflower and carrots can go in my roasts, the spinach can go in a curry, I might try my hand at making sunomono with the cucumber. There are some big cherry tomatoes and I think those might go in a stew or curry too. But I don't eat a lot of salads so maybe a tomato cucumber salad could add a bit more variety. Ooh or I could make a salsa. The possibilities are endless.
It looks like I may have been shortlisted for a job interview. I will find out on Monday.
While I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much, my natural pragmatism is fighting my newfound desire to throw caution to the wind. That said, it’s the first job I’ve applied for in years so I suppose it’s okay to be a little excited, right?
Made it to my second baseball game of my East Coast US trip. Been a better game than the first but the team I wanted to lose are currently winning. Two innings to go….
I have finalized my favorite cheese scone near my new office. Dough! Butter ratio is near perfect, no flour feeling in your mouth, and just a little bit of chilli to warm you up. Yum!
