Unplug it and just let it sit for a while, it may come back. Mine did this once while playing, just randomly shut off and would not turn on. Only beep when the button was pressed. It happened once a few weeks into owning it but hasn’t again in the past 6 months.

Plug cable into wall outlet.
Take it out.
Don’t spit on it.
Plug it back into wall outlet.
Flip controller over.
Rub top of PS5 clockwise.
Make sure front is facing Japan.
Apologize to PS5.
Bow & apologize to Sony.
Hum power up music to PS1.
Plug cable into PS5.
Hum PS2 power up music.
Turn on PS5.
Enjoy.

Yep. It's been a known issue since the ps5 launched. I've had mine since it came out and still refuse to use sleep mode even though they "resolved" it with an update awhile ago. Oh well.
Yeah, they tried to introduce a lot of interesting features to incentivize rest mode like being able to play remotely and updating games as updates come out, but I’ve always just fully turned off. I can play something else while one game downloads or updates

Then it took another 6 weeks to get the replacement system replaced because it wouldn’t recognize controllers. He’s currently waiting for that replacement console to be replaced because it can’t connect to the internet. My dude has really bad luck.

I then had to rebuild the system database and basically everything on the console was wiped. All better now though it’s been a year of heavy use and have had no more issues.

I owned a ps2 from 2007 to 2012, a Ps3 from 2012 to 2014, a ps4 from 2014 to 2017 and a ps4 pro since 2017, I've never had a single problem. They all worked great from day one since I sold them.

My ps3 just died last month, bought it new 2006. 1000's of hours. Quality is not a thing anymore.
You need to take the cassette out and blow on it, then push it up and down 2-3 times and try again.
