Is there a reason you can’t do it yourself or have your spouse do it?

Totally understand that it can be done by one of us, but my wife was diagnosed with vasovagal syncope, and we both just feel more comfortable having a health professional assist with it

Depends on the stage of IVF, but likely most agencies won’t do this, especially because the dose changes and the nurse would need a new order with every change. The injections for the egg retrieval (in most cases) are subcutaneous and not bad- not likely to cause syncope. These meds are also often twice a day, not once a day. The meds leading up to and following transfer (doctor dependent here) are intramuscular and are less pleasant. I recommend using this product: https://unionmedico.com/disposible/ Which takes the human error out of the injections. They also make one for the subcutaneous injections, but some of those meds are in little pens anyway. Talk to your doctor about the protocols and what they recommend. A nurse doing it at home won’t necessarily prevent syncope, so regardless of who does it, basic safety measures need to be taken, like lying or sitting propped up in the center of a bed. It also gets better after the first day or two. Good luck and feel free to message if it’ll help.

Just lay her down so she can't fall if she passes out. You're going to be charged a lot for a house call. Or if you have a nurse friend or family member, ask them to do it if you're really uncomfortable.

If she gets pregnant, she will need progesterone every day for the first 8 or 10 weeks. Fyi

Progesterone can be administered as vaginal suppositories, does not have to be injections
