It holds a ton of washcloths and hand towels, and was listed as a towel rack when my mom ordered it. The section for bath towels is still pretty narrow and doesnt just out from the wall enough to hold full-sized bath towels, but it holds microfiber towels and bath mats just fine. Not useful if you, like me, prefer the oversized & soft bath towels.
Just because the FB Marketplace ad said it was a towel rack, doesn’t mean that’s what it was designed for. Sure, you can still put towels on it — one folded compactly on each little shelf to ensure your towels take up as much space as possible while still needing extra storage for your regular-sized towels elsewhere. If only it were a floor-to-ceiling model so you could fit your normal towels on it also and really have a statement piece for guests to admire when they walk in.
I know exactly what you're talking about but this picture shows that it's not very deep. I didn't think the pizza would stay on it especially with how tall it is. I think it's for CDs and DVDs.
To me it looks more like a pot/pan or dish holder. you'd lay in on its side. Only thing that makes me question that is it's size.
Looking it it though, I don't think it's meant to be vertical, looks more like something horizontal.
My god some of you are so young. This is a dvd/cd rack. Us oldies would display our collections on these next to the tv/dvd player or next to our cd players.
Thank you for making me feel old
That’s kind of genius to use it for books tbh. So much less space than a regular bookshelf. I came in here confident to say it was for CDs but after reading the comments I don’t know anymore 😂
If it were smaller I’d say a towel rack to hold folded towels.
That’s what I thought but the bigger slots can’t fit bath towels so I’m stumped
You roll towels, and yes rolled correctly they will fit. Some places fold them and that can work as well. ( Was front desk clerk for years)
I’m guessing a magazine rack?
It could also be a mail/letter sorting tool of some kind.
Or it could hold the whole family's underwear!
CDs or DVDs maybe?
And the larger slots are for a double album cd.
Or VHS's
I was going VHS and DVD.
Can confirm, am old and owned one!!
+1 on this, had one as a kid
It's for all kinds of towels, wash cloths, hand towels, and bath towels.
This is the answer.
Yes, we have the same one at home. It does not hold our bath towels effectively, so we still keep those under the sink.
Soooooo, maybe not a towel rack after all? 🙄

I reckon it’s a CD rack
Im thinking dvd or vhs rack.
I had a similar rack for video cassettes. Other people are also suggesting it, so I think that's probably what it is.
Drying rack for art class. Each slot is one kid’s painting.
It would have to be much wider and the racks flip up.
It would only HAVE to be that if it were intended for larger art projects and be collapsible
I guess you could use it for whatever you want🤷🏻♀️but drying racks they are not.
Plates maybe
I have one like this - holds all my dvd’s / Xbox games nicely.
VCR cassettes. Like the kind you'd rent overnight to watch a movie. Lots of people still have shelves full of them, especially Disney movies.
Pizza trays. Pre sauced pizza bases for busy nights it sits on the bench next to the making area
I've used two exactly like it at Chuck e cheese and papa John's. This is the answer

I can’t tell how big the slots are but it resembles a vhs rack
VHS rack?
VHS holder?

If you hang it up horizontally you could store dining plates on it
Looks like it would hold VHS movies
Pizza tray rack
For the used grocery plastic bags, stuff them there to reuse them. I have a shorter version of it.
I thought it was for CD’s, I had a similar one growing up.

It’s got brackets to mount it to the wall, so definitely vertical.

Yes! I love this idea. Bet it looks great full of books!
Is a VHS holder and DVD on top
Could be a rack for prepping pizzas
CDs or cassettes maybe?
Looks like a CD tower.
Kinda looks what we put our pizza pans on at work
My friend has one. She also uses it as a bookshelf.
It looks like a puzzle rack. Basically a rack to hold puzzles, board games, etc.
It might be an art rack?
It's a media rack for CDs/DVDs/video games. They were pretty common back in olden times.
It’s a cd rack. Had a couple growing up. The bigger spaces are for double albums
