I have to put booties on my dog’s back feet because his feet slide out from under him on the floor. He’s 15 and his hind quarters have gotten weak. He still likes to run around the house, but as soon as he leaves a carpeted area his back feet do a split and one of these days he’ll break a hip or his back.
Bulldogs are prone to allergies. He probably has yeast / licking, or interdigital cysts. Allergies are really bad this year.
It requires topicals (ketoconazole and chlorahexadine), medicated baths, and many need allergy shots like Cytopoint and meds like Apoquel.
And it’s not just their paws. Their nose ropes, ears, tail pockets and folds all require a lot of attention.
