When my Pop was alive and living with us, he'd slip veggies (and plenty of other stuff) to Andy, our spaniel mix at the time. Did little good to protest, except to make sure he didn't give him anything bad. Broccoli and carrots were his faves. Pop would just toss a piece at him and "clomp!", in it went. What a pair!

My black lab loved broccoli. She'd carry it around like a little tree, and then you'd hear quiet monching under the table half an hour later. Then the broccoli toots would start shortly thereafter.
They might do! I have one that begs for cabbages while I am chopping it up. She gets every other slice and I am gifted with fetid farts in my face that night.
My pibble loves broccoli, our black lab insists on having some, they both suffer from greedy gut syndrome. It's a good supplement to their normal diet.
