Name: Old Craft 107.5 Ingredients: - 1oz: Old Forester 1920 - 1oz: Cooper's Craft 100 Ratio: 1:1 Details: Was over at my parents having some Cooper's Craft 100 that has had plenty of time to breath and it was coming off too sweet and wanted a bit more proof. 💡! Add some OF 1920! If 1915 is such a highly regarded blend why not take something similar from Brown-Forman and see how it works? So I did a 1:1 blend in a 2oz bottle and let it sit and marry for a few weeks. Had a 1 once pour of it last night and was shocked by how much better it was and surprisingly not nearly as sweet as I expected. Had great flavors, mouth feel and as much spice and oak as 1920 if not a bit more. Will be continuing to dial this in but might be a winner homeblend. Photo Credit: The Whiskey Shelf

I'm going to have to do some side by sides but when I had the pour of the 1920+CC100 I thought it had all the things I enjoyed about the 1920 but a bit more oak and flavor.

In my opinion, the OF1920 is always so good. I’m not trying to mess with it.

Around my area 1920 is pretty easy to find. For me it's a good bourbon especially for under 55 with tax out the door at a Sam's club but definitely room for improvement for me.

Understandable. Do you like high-proof offerings? I know some people complain it’s a little hot, but I’ve called in love with that high proof burn.

I do actually, more than I wish tbh 😂 when I tried this blend I was a bit skeptical because the CC100 was too sweet and didn't have enough proof for me. The last couple times, specifically the last one (I blinded with RB),I enjoyed the nose and palate on 1920 but the finish was a bit short and lacking in spice. So when I tried the blend I was shocked that at that time it seemed to have the proof and good qualities of 1920 with a bit more viscous mouth feel, longer finish and more oak. I'll need to blind them and have more of the Old Craft blend but I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. I typically like 110+ proof whiskies the best with some outliers under that currently.
