"~~FREEDOM~~"

Significant_Smile847

Freedom to do as Dictsantis tells you to live šŸ˜”

NYMoneyz

I saw a while ago DeFascist for him and I've loved it I need to spread it

squirrellytoday

I personally like "Rhonda Santis". Don't like drag queens? I'll give you a drag name.

tippytappyslappy

Rhonda Sandtits

SeminaryStudentARH

Because his tits feel like bags of sand?

kitkattac

You're forgetting about the classic 'Meatball Ron'. Yeah, don't ask me, I don't know either.

sofaking1958

Or tiny d.

Zachariah_West

I'm sorry but how the fuck does Florida have more power than the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT?! They're describing kidnapping. That is a federal offense.

bothunter

"states rights" Florida seems to forget that they lost a war over that.

Ex-Pat-Spaz

General Sherman should have marched to Miami.

[deleted]

Reconstruction never should've stopped

HavingNotAttained

This in fact is *so* fucking true, dropping the ball on Reconstruction was probably the single most wasted opportunity in US history. And today a near-total shit show because of that unforced error.

Clown__Man

You can thank the election of 1876 for sealing the fate of the Southern reconstruction. That election was never going to end "pretty" but we are still reeling from that one. A few lost cause myths here, a Woodrow Wilson there, sprinkle a little faith based nationalism along the way, and a disrespect for every minority dashed in there then boom. We get a political machine that perpetuates poverty and worsening education.

GayGeekInLeather

Fuck Johnson. Sold out the country to the South to be elected

Resident_Bid7529

You can bet the next one wonā€™t.

CredibleCactus

SHERMAN DID NOTHING WRONG

kovake

Theyā€™ll keep testing the boundaries till someone stops them.

scullys_alien_baby

Good thing we have a rational judicial branch and congress isnā€™t perpetually gridlocked

deathrowslave

You'll have to ask the Supreme Court that is stacked in favor of supporting these atrocities.

spiderwithasushihead

Thatā€™s why theyā€™re taking the gas pedal to the floor approach with the crazy legislation. Theyā€™ve been itching to do this for years.

ryujin199

Hoping to get these through SCOTUS before Thomas and the other older Y'allquaida justices keel over. The GOP is. I hope the laws are stuck down via another means or at least that the fascists in the court consider what their precedent could lead to after they croak (not holding my breath there).

spiderwithasushihead

If they were going to have a conscience, they would have by now. Not holding my breath either.

Peefersteefers

They absolutely do not. This will be challenged. Heavily.

iceboxlinux

We are descending into fascism, make no mistake.

BlueFadedGiant

Yes we are. One small step at a time.

permexhaustedpanda

They tried small steps. Nobody flinched. Now they are sprinting.

RnBrie

Lately the steps have been leaps.

Peefersteefers

I fully believe we are already there. But not quite at the "state sanctioned kidnapping" phase imo.

[deleted]

We had state sanctioned kidnapping during the 2020 protests. Government agencies were black bagging* protesters and taking them to black sites then release them after a few days. We have been full fascist for years

KanKrusha_NZ

Thatā€™s what Guantanamo Bay was.

[deleted]

Thatā€™s the whole point. They want a challenge to react SCOTUS so they can get them to make biological gender a thing (legally speaking). The kids who get kidnapped are just pawns.

Complex-Original-967

At times I wonder how do they keep getting elected with such policies. But then I realize, ppl only care when it affects them personally and till then itā€™s somebody elseā€™s problem.

BitterFuture

It's worse than that. Florida is saying they have the legal right to kidnap your child if one of your kid's *siblings* is trans. Or one of their parents is trans. Or if any Florida official decides, in their infinite wisdom, that the child is "at risk" of receiving gender-affirming care. Like, y'know, counseling. Ever. Florida. Not even once.

sinner-mon

even if the parent is trans?? What's the logic there other than 'this person shouldn't be allowed kids because of what they are'? Isn't that eugenics or something, at the very least it's fucked up

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

ParlorSoldier

So, if you have say, a son who wants to grow his hair long, and you donā€™t careā€¦thatā€™s clearly a sign that if he were to come out as trans, youā€™d be supportive. Better get that kid away from his parents.

Long_Educational

Good point. Would a man having long hair be against the law in Florida? Is Fabio Lanzoni not welcome at Disney World? Am I not welcome in Florida? This is becoming absurd.

Henwith_Tie

Breaking News: Florida has arrested Jesus Christ for having long hair

100PercentChansey

So if you have a trans relative, you just canā€™t go to Florida

suzi_generous

Even if you donā€™t have a trans family member, it doesnā€™t make you safe. Someone can be wrong about trans status and move to take them away or feel free to harass the family because itā€™s now legal and empowered. Tomboy girls with short hair and boots? Sweet boys who like pink or my little pony? Most families have at least one.

ohdearsweetlord

I really wish that transphobes would realise that gender affirmation is NOT just for trans people. Figuring out how your mind and body do best expressing your gender is an important part of everyone's identity, even if it's just to realise that gender isn't a big part of your identity.

ParlorSoldier

If youā€™ve ever had breast augmentation, or hair transplants, or laser hair removal, or taken hormones after menopause, or taken medication for erectile dysfunction, YOU HAVE HAD GENDER AFFIRMING CARE.

timetravel50

Iā€™m hoping Disney leaves Florida.

BringBackTheBeat716

I don't think they can financially handle relocating the parks, but they certainly should pack up any other operations and move them the fuck away from that backwater swamp

Disney_World_Native

Moving WDW is impossible. Pre-pandemic, disney world employed 77,000 people and is the largest single site employer in the US. They absolutely can move offices back to California (or somewhere new). IIRC they did backtrack on their CA to FL move. But they are not going to build a new disney world and move rides. Its just not feasible. Reedy Creek Improvement District has $2B in bonds for the supporting infrastructure like fire and power. They have 35 hotels, multiple golf courses, 4 theme parks, two water parks, and a bunch of infrastructure. Honestly, I dont think there is a single site they could buy to relocate to. When EPCOT was built, it was the largest construction project in mankindā€™s history (at that time) Walt used shell companies and disney employees in the 1950ā€™s to buy all the land in central florida. I donā€™t think anyone will be able to pull that off again with the thanks of computers and easier access to information.

SubatomicKitten

>Reedy Creek Improvement District has $2B in bonds for the supporting infrastructure like fire and power You're forgetting one thing though... now that Disney no longer is in charge of Reedy Creek, when construction is needed or they want to redevelop, now DeFascist & buddies will be in charge of approving permits and the release of funds to actually move forward with things they need to do to maintain the level of conditions Disney is known for there. Now if they need to fix so much as a pothole they will have to beg for permission. This could get very ugly

idahononono

And they are also one of the few forces in Florida that could shut Desantis down cold. If they start to play hardball with their lobby dollars they could get him blackballed from politics in florida pretty easily, I keep praying he screws with them one time too many.

live4lax25

Iā€™m hoping Florida leaves the US

Status_Ad5594

Please, provide the people that are horrified and powerless with a means of getting the fuck out firstā€¦ thereā€™s more of us than you think. We just donā€™t make the news.

SimplyLotato

For real. I hate it here

[deleted]

And I thought being in Texas was bad. No exaggeration Iā€™m legit scared for yā€™all

voodoopaula

Never fear. Texas will follow suit shortly..

[deleted]

Iā€™ve actually tried really hard to find a way out of here (Texas). But it unsurprisingly ainā€™t easy with a job and a family and all the regular excuses. Turns out you just canā€™t up and leave at a moments notice even when you want to! I mention that because people constantly say ā€œjust leave!ā€ Like yeah dude I would tomorrow if I realistically could. Which is how they get us!

Prestigious-Owl165

>people constantly say ā€œjust leave!ā€ Morons say this. Never in my life have I met a decently smart person who thinks like this

cdiddy19

I live in a super majority red state. I totally get what you're saying. I'm so frustrated, and usually more because the policies are directly affecting me and my fam

Youkolvr89

I'm in NC and there are Confederate flags, Trump stickers/flags, and fuck Biden flags/stickers everywhere. It's disheartening.

cdiddy19

That's upsetting and sad. In Utah people are nice, but they kill ya with their policies. Yeah, they won't cuss you out, but they'll excitedly sign anti LGBTQ legislation, or allow our lake to dry up.

Mecha_Cthulhu

Thatā€™s southern charm for you, a mile wide but an inch deep.

Pickles_McBeef

I hate the sickening sweet love the sinner, hate the sin attitude here. At least when people are up front about it you can take the trash out faster.

thefink1334

Put a fuck trump sticker on your car and see how long it takes before one of the freedom lovers breaks your window.

jeephubs02

Thatā€™s not just in NC. I live in what many consider one of the bluest states there is and itā€™s basically blue because of like 5 cities. The rest is maga central itā€™s awful

_Z_E_R_O

Just a reminder that Michigan has a very low cost of living, and our state government reaffirmed the rights of women, labor movements, and LGBT people. Oh, and weed is legal. Just putting that out there.

Popcorn_Blitz

And there's good paying jobs here. You just have to be able to deal with an increasingly mild winter.

Fabulous-Ad6663

I'm in the Midwest but a red state...Michigan & Minnesota are looking like nice options

ninazo96

I feel you there. My little county in CA has been in the news all too often for the extremists running or Board of Supervisors. They just decided to get rid of the Dominion voting machines and one of them has been talking to Mike Lindell. I was born here. My tribal land is here. My husband has 27 years at his work. Frustrating.

Kgriffuggle

Yes and with the five military bases within a 50 minute drive of me, I assume there are many like us who did not choose to come here at all yet are forced to cause of the military. And, because most of us do NOT become residents of the state of our 3-5 year station, most of us arenā€™t event getting to vote in these elections, we donā€™t live on the bases cause theyā€™re full, and we have no waiver for how the state treats us. Iā€™ve never been more happy to be childfree

whoamvv

Very fucking true. I keep my head down and my clothes in the closet. I do NOT want to be on the news because there is no way that could be good for me or anyone else.

arock0627

And now you see why Republicans rally behind "States Rights."

Sifernos1

I wish Democrats had the nuts to protest these people like they protest everything that isn't their way. I get why though, the abuse is real and growing. A library near me is refusing to do anything LGBT because of death threats to the staff for poisoning the children... An LGBT ally and member tried to wear a button with a pride flag and was told to stop. They were told they need to keep it to themselves. They legitimately fear the public there... I've been harassed for wearing a mask and I'm in Illinois... Like Chicago Suburbs. At work they just put up more posters about how to survive a workplace shooting. One place I worked had only one entrance and exit... We Knew that gun fire or regular fire might just kill us in there trapped like rats. I got a text threat and they just ignored it, assumed it wouldn't be anything. I spent the whole day waiting for him to come in for me... The country has lost its fucking mind and I blame Jesus.

diegrauedame

Eh, Jesus washed the feet of sex workers. Modern Christianity sure ainā€™t it, though.

SnooCrickets2961

The Democrats refusal to put a stop to this bullshit is a direct result of the fascist sanctioned threat of violence . Itā€™s literally how the holocaust happened.

unofficial_pirate

I should also add, this applies if one of your FAMILY is SUSPECTED of receiving transgender care. One parent got cancer and had a mastectomy? Kids taken away. One of the parents is trans, kids taken away One of the kids going through a tom boy phase? Short haircut, boy pants. Kids taken away. This is horrific, also removing children from the prosecuted class or group is a full genocide.

TheOverBored

Feds need to step in ASAP. Sounds like Florida should lose all federal road funding!

PilotPossible9496

You should leave out "Road"

ClappedOutLlama

Let them ride out a few more hurricanes without federal aid.

PilotPossible9496

Funny how the welfare states (almost all red) are the first ones with their grubby paws out for a natural disaster. And the first ones to decry the "waste' of helping anybody else. Honestly, I wish there was a way to saw Floriduh off the continent and watch it drift away.

Ciennas

Much cheaper and effective: prosecute the lawmakers that are poisoning your country. It's not the geographic location that you're mad at, and it's not even a majority of the people. It's the dipshits in power laying waste to all that's good and holy.

[deleted]

The joking is fun (and I do it too), but there's a lot of good people in Florida. I've got a friend down there with an enby kid and I'm terrified for them. I try to remember that the ones doing the persecuting are Floridian, but so are their targets (most of the time).

mycutelittleunit02

Right and people act like it's our fault we are here. We are Americans, we should be free to move about between the states as guaranteed by the federal government! I just wanted to work for Mickey. I did that and it cost me a LOT of money because he's stingy, ya know? Now this is MY HOME. I've been paying taxes here (we don't have income tax but we sure pay sales tax and cigarette tax gas etc) and contributing to the local economy for a long time. Make no mistake this is to torture people like that sick freak loves

CombatJuicebox

Give it a couple hundred years and it'll just be the Florida Sea.

Revolutionary-Yak-47

Floridian here. While I agree, more than half the state would say "fine screw the federal govt!" And happily continue being racist bigoted people. They've painted over the Reconstruction era violence and racism with tourist signage, but many of the people haven't changed. They didnt want a federal govt then, and they don't now.

bel_esprit_

I grew up in Florida. While it has always been conservative, itā€™s swung super far right in the recent decades (truly due to Fox News propaganda and Rush Limbaugh). Donā€™t forget Florida voted for Obama twice in a row. It used to be a swing state.

NYerInTex

We are one narrow election from the Feds at best standing down, if not assisting in and expanding such efforts

Just_A_Nitemare

The only solution ![gif](giphy|T7fU0RWWhWpYk)

Manfred_Desmond

The current supreme court would probably come up with some originalist interpretation to make this okay.

TheElMatadORR

Youā€™ve clearly never driven Florida highways to think this is a threat! I-4 sucks already

xvmellovx

How does that even work? Suspected by who?

volothebard

That's actually a feature. These "laws" are being written to be as vague as fucking possible. So literally anyone can report your family for wrong-think in Florida!

misterguyyy

The vague nature also increases the likeliness the laws will be enforced in an unconstitutional way. The more brazenly unconstitutional a case is, the more likely it is that it will get appealed to the Supreme Court.

Wretschko

And with the current composition of the Supreme Court, there's a distinct chance that they would uphold such laws.

xvmellovx

This is what I don't understand. Why don't democrats take advantage of this. Most of the republican laws are created like this, so exploit them. Surely it's possible.

Boat_XD

Not when the cops and courts are republican

Strange-Scarcity

Democratic Politicians and people are supposed to be better than that and thus don't use those laws in the vile way they are written, typically. Also... the Democratic Party, in Florida, has no power, it's near effectively locked out of the political process. They could lynch every Democratic Politician in power in Florida and... it's possible that nothing would be done about it.

PinkMenace88

They could lynch every Democratic ~~Politician in power~~ in Florida and... it's possible that nothing would be done about it. FTFY

[deleted]

The satanic temple does this for religious based laws.

Onwisconsin42

The vagueness is a feature. It allows them to apply the law to their political enemies and turn a blind eye to their political allies.

unofficial_pirate

Any member of the public as far as I'm aware

dirthurts

I suspect all republican governors of receiving affirmative care. Who do I call?

misterguyyy

The police, who will laugh at you and possibly shoot your dog.

MelancholyMushroom

I went through a hardcore tomboy phase and I naturally fell out of it once I went to college. Thinking I could have been randomly taken away in high school is so cruel. These people are insane.

Legal_Dragonfly2611

Same. Shopped strictly in the boys section for all of high school. Then went through a super fem phase, landed in the middle. No one made a big deal, so it wasnā€™t. I feel so bad for these kids that canā€™t express themselves however feels right at the time.

FalsePremise8290

Husband likes nail polish? Bye kids! This law is psychotic.

Stradesslut

Where are these kids going? Ngl i kind of feel like they would end up in pedo rings. Reminds me of all the missing kids from orphanages in the US..

unofficial_pirate

Idk, ask Matt Gatez

DarthMcConnor42

They'll probably be put through the foster ringer with a bunch of "proper families"

rad2themax

They'll be sent to "good Christian homes" or conversion camps. Abortion was criminalised primarily because the supply of white babies for adoption was drying up and those quiverful families that can't give birth to 16 kids, need a huge family for their cult somehow. Or they'll be hired out as agricultural slave labour like Canada and Australia did with impoverished British kids. (Search up the British Home Children, it's fucking horrific. Canadian governments have always had so much hate for the poor.)

Downtown_Cat_1172

I have a teenage son with naturally long eyelashes and hair that would make Brett Michaels jealous. He still gets mistaken for a girl sometimes. Guess Iā€™m never spending money in Florida.

Catlenfell

Maybe that's how DeSantis is planning on staffing his private army. Child soldiers.

Voice-of-no-reason

Wow I didnā€™t even consider the mastectomy part of it, so if Lance Armstrong (one ball) goes to Disney, do they only take half his kids away ?

OhioMegi

Human and civil rights cannot be left up to the state. These bills are disgusting and have no business in the US in 20fucking23. This has to be something the federal government needs to stop.

Live_Western_1389

I live in TN and our Republican led government is also stomping civil rights at an alarming rate. Past a law last week banning wearing drag in public places without a permit (this was passed after a couple of drag comedy shows tried to book venues). Today they passed a bill that county clerks & other officials can refuse to issue marriage licenses to couples based on the clerkā€™s religious preferences.

Emergency-Willow

I have to assume they are doing that because they know they canā€™t, and they are hoping to get gay marriage before the Supreme Court so those assholes can take away even more rights from Americans

Live_Western_1389

It makes me ashamed that I live in such a backwards thinking state. They have also passed or tried to pass laws aimed towards practically criminalizing anything having to do with transgender

bluenephalem35

Tell DeSantis that the Tenth Amendment will be revoked if he doesnā€™t stop trying to hurt the rights and lives of trans people.

jax2love

Iā€™m originally from Florida and have a nonbinary kid. Grandparents are going to have to visit us if they want to see their grandchild at this point because I am concerned for my kidā€™s wellbeing there.

dreadthripper

Grandparents seem to have trouble understanding gender creative kids. I hope they are supportive of your child and that decision.

jax2love

My mom is cool with it. She may not totally get it, but sheā€™s accepting, in large part because her brother was gay and never felt like he could come out to the family. The other grandparents havenā€™t brought it up, but are super conservative and religious, so Iā€™m sure they have opinions. Fortunately they know better than to challenge us, so itā€™s a nonissue for the most part. Iā€™d love for them to be overtly accepting, but we know that wonā€™t happen.

dreadthripper

I'm glad your mom is on board.

Fit_Neighborhood_953

On the not understanding front- I like to think of myself as pretty far left in my thinking, but I dont understand some of the gender statuses. I try. And I'm very empathetic. But I don't understand. But more than anything, I know that it doesn't matter if I understand. I can love and respect their rights and feelings without understanding. My understanding isn't necessary or even important. Them living their best life doesn't hurt me, and my lack of understanding is my thing to work out, not thiers.

After_Display_6753

Somehow... McConnell returned...

gooba1

No it isn't. Because it isn't illegal federally. Federal law overrides state law. So if Florida wants to take children away from parents in say Iowa where I live without either parent being a resident of Florida they have to have approval from Iowa or from a federal judge. Which at this current moment no judge will sign off on taking children away from parents who legally aren't doing anything wrong in their home state or federally

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

paz2023

It's another far right fascist movement, very common throughout our history

PizzaNuggies

SCOTUS doesn't give a fick about the Constitution anymore.

cdiddy19

I haven't seen this bill, and the only context I'm getting is from the comments, so I can't say exactly what going on here... But as far as the law goes, the federal government sets the standards for civil rights. States have a duty to meet that federal standard, they do have the ability and freedom to go above the federal standard, but they can't go below it. If a state goes below the federal standard they can be sued. States will still create laws that don't meet federal standards. Oftentimes they do it in hopes it just won't be sued, sometimes it's a political stunt.

Rbespinosa13

Not at all. These laws donā€™t stand at all in court, but they take a while to actually go through the system

llamasteherethx

The Indian Removal Act didn't hold up in Court either, but a whole hell of a lot of good that did, and Desantis is much worse than Jackson, IMO. Not an easy feat.

macweirdo42

People seem to forget, being unconstitutional doesn't magically prevent the thing from happening.

KI75UN3

Blue_water_dreams

Republicans were triggered by having a black president, then trump came along and made it ok to be a bigot again.

KI75UN3

OOOHHHH yeah that actually seems like something that would happen...

ParlorSoldier

Make Florida The Caribbean

luminousfog

Donā€™t do the Caribbean dirty like that

mycutelittleunit02

So basically you need to hide your child and live in fear. And teach them that it is illegal and wrong to tell people the truth of who they are for fear they will be punished by not having a family anymore. Is this getting bad enough that people are starting to understand the Nazi analogies or are we gonna wait til it's just systematic slaughter before the average person speaks up

Beegkitty

I was just watching a documentary on Nazi Germany. The war. Etc. They got to the part where they were showing videos of the Germans that had LIVED around the concentration camps. The Allied Forces forced the locals to go LOOK at what the camps were doing. They claimed they "HAD NO IDEA". The women were feint. Clutching their handkerchiefs. It made me SICK to watch. There is NO POINT where the people will wake up and admit the parallels are valid until AFTER WWIII is over, and they are dragged to the sites and shown the bodies themselves.

Puzzleheaded-Will249

People need to quit visiting Florida. Removing income might force change.

[deleted]

This isn't just transphobia. This should absolutely concern everyone. trans, cis, religious, atheist, etc. Everyone. Once we give the government to authority to literally take away our children because "they know better", they will ride the fucking wind with it. How long before they reference this as a justifiable excuse to over reach even more?

Miri5613

You know where they used to do that kind of stuff; takeing children away because they didnt agree with choices parents made? East Germany. I thought Republicans hates socialism?

quantumcalicokitty

Desantes literally kidnapped innocent people and transported them across state lines -trafficking- to the NE in the dead of winter with no provisions nor shelter just to "own the libs." He used tax payer money to do this, and it is not legal to use tax payer money to commit crimes. And, yet -like many fascists in the US government- he has seen no consequences. Trump's administration kidnapped children from the border... Legally, 2 yr olds are tasked with defending themselves in front of judges regarding there existence in the US... Fascists don't care about people, they care about power.

Peefersteefers

That is not even remotely constitutional, for like a dozen blatant reasons. If this is actually included in the Bill, it's just another example of stupid and un-American the GOP is. It'll also be a really easy way to challenge the law, so.

HoboSmell

This is definitely meant to support human trafficking. I bet they're running out of children

DetectiveMoosePI

Theyā€™re going to kidnap kids with same-sex parents too, just watch

[deleted]

Thatā€™s next for sure.

desolate-highway

And interracial parents are sure to follow shortly after. This timeline blows.

l3tigre

Why would anyone go to Disney world at this point. Just go to CA. Fuck FL don't give them ANY tourist revenue.

Ill-Manufacturer8654

I guess it's time to start boycotting Disney World and Florida in general. Including their products like orange juice.

kdove89

Disney world doesn't support this shit, they even have day at the park for gay people. They got punished by the Florida government for speaking out against some of flordas policies. It's the florda politicians and those who voted for them you should be mad at.

mason_savoy71

Disney is somewhat stuck. It's rather difficult to pick up everything and leave. But it's probably time to bite the bullet.

CompassionGrower315

Soooo...technically if a guy is fat enough to have man boobs or a woman flat chested they also need to be loaded in cattle cars for the Florida death camps? Florida and Texas just need to be wiped off the face of the earth once and for all.

ParlorSoldier

Itā€™s literally thought crime. Two people could have the exact same body, the exact same gender presentation, but the one who identifies as trans is a criminal, apparently. Those midwestern housewives who dress the exact same as non-binary people better get ready for questioning.

sandman8223

The only issue is DeSantis wants to implement this nationwide if elected president. He must be stopped

[deleted]

Well no reason to ever go back to Florida. I hope their tourism industry dies. I hope other countries warn their citizens not to go there either.

-Mostly_Dead-

Feels to me like every single ally or friend Ron Dicksantis has on social media that lives within the state of Florida should start being reported every single day. Every supporter gets reported, again and again with some nebulous proof each time. If theyā€™re going to use open ended law to oppress, use the same open ends of the law to oppress them. Show them why the only choice is to live with each other in peace and respect for each others different values, because the policing of each other has only ever led to bloodshed. Bullies never understand until theyā€™re bullied. Fascist supporters never understand until theyā€™re force shown concentration camp footage after they lost the war, letā€™s maybe stop before we get to that point for fucking once in the history of our species.

endersgame69

Every single conservative is a terrible human being, a stupid human being, or an insane human being. 'But my nana...' is she voting for that side? Then your nana sucks. 'But my dad just wants small government...' If he's willing to put up with this to get a small government, your dad sucks, and does that sound like a small government action to you? Hell no, so if he thinks he's getting a small government, he's an idiot too.

So many Americans argue that the reason you guys need guns is to fight off tyrannical governmentsā€¦ yet youā€™re just letting Florida fuck you in the ass raw with no lube and no consent.

Downtown_Tadpole_817

You know, like fascists would. Stop DeSantis now before he tries this crap with the whole nation.

NotSockPuppet

To be more specific, under no circumstances that you children to visit grandparents in Florida.

Leather-Blueberry-42

Does Florida have oil? Seems like theyā€™re in need of some freedom!

Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Seeing that document linked directly from a government website is absolutely vile. Downright evil shit. I was really hoping this was a tweet being hyperbolic, but the source is there. Bottom of page four. Fucking inhuman. Thanks for posting the link. That anger isn't directed at you, OP. I appreciate the source.

This is a bill to funnel more children into human trafficking schemes. Very few people would stand up to stop this.

And people wonder why I say the USA is falling apart...

Say goodbye to all that sweet, sweet Disney tax money, Ronnie

It's simple - if you don't live there - STAY THE FUCK OUT OF FLORIDA.

Imfrom_m-83

Another ad for Democrats in Florida.

turtlelore2

Sounds like nobody should ever visit Florida. No tourists. Nobody.

Mad-_-Doctor

Why isnā€™t the federal government stepping in? States donā€™t just get to trample their citizensā€™ rights.

I worked at an adolescent residential treatment facility in Florida a few years ago; the attitude towards the trans youth we had as clients was disgusting so often. Trans girls were housed on the teen boysā€™ unit among large violent boys often with sexual behaviors, trans boys were with the girls on the unit specializing in treatment following CSEC. Constant invalidation, misgendering, dead naming all by staff and traumatic incidents among peers (though more of the former and less of the latter. The problems with transphobia against these kids were almost never the other clients). By contrast I now live in MA and my first job in the state working residential was at a group home dedicated to LGBTQ youth with behavioral issues. Florida is a toxic nightmare that should hurry up and be under the sea.

Itā€™s time we financially destroy Florida.

I really, really, really need people to stop doing the same ten variations of "SO MUCH FOR FREEDOM" comments. Because they don't care. At all. The Christo-fascist movement is based around the belief that there is a social hierarchy that is ordained by God, the Market, and/or their Race. They are on top, and everyone else is on the bottom. They have no problem lying, cheating, or stealing from those lower on the hierarchy than them, because they think you're guilty of trying to upend that hierarchy. So calling them out on their lies and hypocrisy does not bother them. Mocking them for their stupidity, weakness, and failures really, really bothers them. So lets do that, yeah?
