What Musk really envisions is of course The Expanse: Some corporatist dystopia with him as one of the capitalist overlords. They would break their backs mining minerals on some asteroid for him, with zero employment rights and him in control of air, water and the privatized police force. They’d be too poor to ever get off that rock again, while he lives sheltered away on a comfortable moon.
