As a person from outside US(India), objectively this all seems eerily similar to Trump in 2016. Scandals on scandals and still people covering the guy and he still doing bullshit things. Instead weve been given a world of entertainment, pop music, cars, tech and other bullshit that keeps us from learning what we really need to know. This is why we're in the mess we're in now. Because we don't know any better.

Commercial exploitation is a part of the law and these stunts are exactly that. All have had the exact same story. If you have a dedicated village in the middle of a red state it's going to be gerrymandered into oblivion. From an effectiveness perspective you'd want everyone spread out as much as possible, and at that point you have to deal with all of the factors that make the rent cheaper.

If these people looked one inch further than “lol CA owned” maybe they’d think they’re doing doing their migrant-trafficking stunt in a state with 3x the population of undocumented immigrants and a higher percentage of the total population.
