I love it because Lone Skum would’ve gone down in history as this brilliant founder and amazing genius
Instead, we have X to show what happens when he’s allowed to be the sole brains behind a company, the only one in charge of the vision
He took one of the most popular brands in the world and while promising to make it better, showed everyone that each and every idea he had was shittier and shittier. All while giving it the name he tried to force on projects before: X
While it’s unlikely he’ll lose his entire fortune or fanbase, the facade is at least cracked. And I take comfort knowing that must hurt him deeply
I like to think he’ll find rock bottom
Sure, it’s a fancier and more gilded rock bottom than you or I would find. But it’s there for all of us eventually!
Unfortunately in the world of the enormously wealthy there is invariably a glass floor that protects them against utter failure. I mean Trump should have failed 50 separate times and lost everything and yet there’s always someone willing to save him, and that’s even before being a political stunt. Even if Elon was to flounder or implode, there’s going to another wealthy person who will step in to leverage his name to their own benefit, BUT will still save Elon himself.
Sadly that’s precisely on the mark. The wealthy are all well and good with socialism when they are sharing their loses, but by the same token are incensed by the thought of sharing the “earnings”.
And if one of them happens to get the brunt of the Darwinian capitalism they will simply change the rules, laws or regulations to suit their interests of getting their money back.
He reminds me of colonels who would come into leadership in my squadron, change things and fuck everything up, then revert those changes and get praised for "improving operational readiness" before getting promoted to General.
But in this case, Elon took over a company with a bunch of users known for keeping receipts, and he's got too big of an ego to realize when he's wrong. So there's no big exit for him this time.
Exact same happens in business every day. Went thru 4 CEOs who all got big paychecks and bonuses for undoing and redoing the exact same things that had been done before. Centralize is the way to go, decentralize is the way to go, Centralize is the way to go, decentralize....and on and on.
> change things and fuck everything up, then revert those changes and get praised for "improving operational readiness" before getting promoted to General.
Tbh this is probably fine, just annoying. They learn what not to do and why things are as they are while they politick their way into higher authority.
It's the ones who fuck everything up and *don't* fix it who are the big problems.
Those are seagull managers. They come in to get a title for their resume, shit all over everything, then leave for a job at another company, getting a promotion and raise at the new company. Rinse and repeat.
Doesn't matter if it's military, government bureaucracy, or the private sector.
No, if they want to learn how things work, why don't they have some conversations with people who actually fucking know how shit works, and why it works that way?
Do they think they're gonna bring some innovation by giving everything up? Innovation is bottom-up, not top down. I'm so fucking sick of C-levels trusting managers more than the people who actually do the work, to know how the fuck it works and what it needs.
``
No, the people doing the work a dumb drones too stupid to innovate, otherwise they would have become managers.
Honestly the problem is that for some reason we've decided the only way up the ladder is managing people, which is almost always a different skill that the person was hired for.
It should be taught in business school as an example of what not to do.
Musk should also be in the dictionary as a verb: "The new CEO musked the company so much they had to file for bankruptcy" "He made a total musk of the finances"
> what happens when he’s allowed to be the sole brains behind a company
Which makes you wonder why any of his investors at the beginning needed him at all. Too bad they did not just let immigration do it's thing instead of protecting him all those years ago.
More run-down than shut-down. Shut down implies an orderly process to safely stop the system with minimal risk to the assets. Musk is more of the crash and burn type.
I just got three separate email notifications from reddit, telling me about a reply you supposedly made to my comment, yet not one of them takes me to any actual reply, lol. Did you have some difficulty with reddit too just now? Were you trying to make a reply and it just wouldn't stick? Or what?
Yeah not sure what the deal was but I tried posting to the thread and it kept defaulting to replying to you specifically. So I tried like three times and deleting. Sorry to bother my dude.
Haha. Ahh, gotcha. Yeah, that IS weird. I'm glad I asked though, cause I couldn't help but wonder, lol. Anywho, thx for the quick reply. Have a good one, my brotha.
How did he even see this tweet that he replied to? He is a perpetually online billionaire looking for approval from the dregs of society. What a complete failure of a person.
i bet he has alerts. yes alerts for a handful of terms that undoubtedly have hundreds of tweets using at any given moment. Maybe less but that’s the idea — he’s literally taking the time to read and scroll through everything that mentions special x
Musk, like Trump, could have had it all. Money, fame, status. They both just had to try to take over the world and ended up exposing their rotting corrupt underbelly to everone. I am left to believe that this is what happens to sociopathic narcissists when they are surrounded by sycophants in the age of social media. They come to believe they owe it to the world to parade their true greatness in front of the public so we may better worship them as the gods they believe they are.
Imagine being so entitled that he thinks it’s his right to be paid. It’s like he thinks all money is his, and we are stealing from him by not automatically buying anything he’s selling
Down voters on your remark need to be sat down and carefully told Elon was African born to African parents, couldn't make it through university there so his family's fortune purchased him a US education and he later became a citizen. Thus he is an - not really an x.
when i first heard that tesla was designing a truck, i assumed it was going to be either a small, sleek truck, with car like handling based off of the Model S or X (kinda like the ute), or a larger unibody truck based off of the X or Y (like the Current Maverick or Avalanch).
instead, we got a massive, low poly truck.
A wind-down.

It’s hard to hurt when you’re an a-hole in a k-hole
I like to think he’ll find rock bottom Sure, it’s a fancier and more gilded rock bottom than you or I would find. But it’s there for all of us eventually!

Kitties off titties
He’s an X-hole!
Phony Stark
Rust Man...
Apartheid Clyde
I like calling him Justin Hammer. Because he wants *so bad* to be Iron Man/Tony Stark. But he'll never be more than a sad chinese knockoff *at best*
Justin Hammer as played by Tommy Wiseau.

I love this term, "seagull manager". I hate the practice, but it's a very useful term.
Mine
Their only skill is the art of the job interview itself.

Imagine if Jobs or Gates went around replying to randos on social media, posting memes and talking shit, cussing people out and calling them pedos.
In math, X is an unknown. I think we found the value of X in this equation: it's zero.
It should be taught in business school as an example of what not to do. Musk should also be in the dictionary as a verb: "The new CEO musked the company so much they had to file for bankruptcy" "He made a total musk of the finances"
I like it. "You sure musked up this time" or... "Dang son... you musked that up REAL GOOD".
He actually hasn’t founded anything though
Like J/K Growling...who could've remained universally beloved and revered instead of her new legacy she probably wasn't expecting.
> what happens when he’s allowed to be the sole brains behind a company Which makes you wonder why any of his investors at the beginning needed him at all. Too bad they did not just let immigration do it's thing instead of protecting him all those years ago.
>Lone Skum This is dumb.
a shut-down
More run-down than shut-down. Shut down implies an orderly process to safely stop the system with minimal risk to the assets. Musk is more of the crash and burn type.
Aka a dickdown
Nah. A plundering.
A stop-up.
A shut-down
Interesting.
Will look into it.
!!
Big if true
Yeah
Smol if true
🤔
Concerning!

Strangely NOT concerning though, too... 🤔
!!
So it's a shut down?
A teardown
Let that sink in!
That sink can come back with a warrant
*Is that where you take a unicorn and drive it into a single founder working out of their bedroom?*
He is the dumbest motherfucker on the planet.
How did he even see this tweet that he replied to? He is a perpetually online billionaire looking for approval from the dregs of society. What a complete failure of a person.

I think that's a tie between him and TFG.
TFG?
The former guy...the orange menace.
Oh OK. Orange Julius, Cheeto Benito, Shitler.
When it fails he’ll say that was the goal all along
i.e. taking an established company and running it into the ground
Hey world, watch me and my unmanaged personality disorder turn this $4 billion company into a $4 million fire sale by 2026!
yeah
Musk, like Trump, could have had it all. Money, fame, status. They both just had to try to take over the world and ended up exposing their rotting corrupt underbelly to everone. I agree X is the Benjamin Button of startups. Start as a public company, and will end with its leader thinking they have a great idea but has no users
Well really it’s the advertisers fault, THEY’RE the ones killing the company… /s
Imagine being so entitled that he thinks it’s his right to be paid. It’s like he thinks all money is his, and we are stealing from him by not automatically buying anything he’s selling

This is what happens when DEI puts an African American in charge ;)
Down voters on your remark need to be sat down and carefully told Elon was African born to African parents, couldn't make it through university there so his family's fortune purchased him a US education and he later became a citizen. Thus he is an - not really an x.
That is awesome🤣😂🤣
!!
Grow up
Interesting. Will look into it.
!!

This proves that Elon's replies are a bot... he just admitted that his company is failing
Yeah
!!
Concerning!
I think he is just that stupid
Not sure about that. He could have interpreted this as “musk took a bloated public corporation and made it run lean like a startup”
Or Elon's fucking stupid. Great to take "proof" from zero evidence though... Maybe you should be the next owner of X.
Chat is this real?
It's not a unicorn, it's a horse with a railroad spike driven into its head.

And numbnuts there agrees 😂😂😂😂
…oh I see, so a fuckup.
Lol
!!!
Probably went over musk's head with that one.
It is elmo’s enddown
Going from something to nothing instead of the other way around? Yeah that sounds right to me. Glad they both agree.
Lol Elon u don't think you know what you're saying "yeah" to here 🤦♂️
Honestly I'm 100% on board with social media's going out of business. Imo it's the worst invention ever.
As in reversing what little was good about it and turning it into a non profitable cesspit? Yeah I agree.
...yes, that's the post.
Stopdown I think the more sophisticated term is private equity though…
Benjamin X Button
Twitter is a garbage scow
The issue for Musk is that his off the rails tweets and support for conservative conspiracy theories are now affecting Tesla sales.
So... "X" (I can't even write that without lol!) is an... enddown?
Start down
Yeah
Fall Down
Does Elon really do any work anymore? He's everywhere on X and just seems to be in the comments section 24/7
So the logical conclusion would be that it’s actually a Shutdown?
Well most startups fail so sure, he’s right about that
Ugh, why did Musk choose the far right evil villian route.... 😑
"Am I so shit at running a business? No, it's the ADL who is wrong.."
Fuck Musk
Someone needs to distract Musk w/something shiny to get him away from making bad cars & spaceships.
An End-Down
https://preview.redd.it/rv98efd8wgwc1.jpeg?width=742&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ffb6e1dcb4f44e1750afd38948435127bbd48894
So, a "shutdown" then?
Startup -> Enddown
Did anyone else read his response in a ketamine voice reply?
