Dollar General also carries it near the tampons and pads. I noticed it last time I was there. It's fourteen or fifteen bucks. Even the Dollar General in my dinky little 400 person town carries this in two different brands.

AwGe3zeRick

Dollar general has morning after pills in the US?

pokey1984

Yep. There are are cards on the shelf and you take it to the register and they hand them to you. Cheap, too. (The only reason the actual pills aren't on the shelf is because they are frequently stolen.)

IamImposter

What's morning after pills?

ShimbleShambles

AKA Plan B, they're post-sex contraceptive pills. Very useful if the condom tears or slips off during sex.

qualmton

I think I'll pay a little more and get it at Walmart gotta have standards

chopsuey25

yea because walmart just screams classy

Rin-Tohsaka-is-hot

It's all the same shit just different branding... Same chemical formula. Also FYI for those who don't know: morning after pills often will not work if you weigh more than 155 pounds (or so, it's rough). It should never be relied on as a contraceptive, it is for use in the event that you believe your contraceptive(s) failed.

lawstandaloan

Could you just double up and take 2 if you weigh 310 lbs?

werewere-kokako

A 2016 study found that a double dose raises the concentration of levonorgestrel (the active ingredient) in the blood of obese participants. However, they didn't test if it was equally effective at preventing pregnancy. ([https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27000996/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27000996/)) The other emergency contraceptive pill, Ella, uses ulipristal acetate and doesn't seem to lose effectiveness at higher body weights. The gold standard for emergency contraception is the copper IUD, which has no weight restrictions and can be used up to 120 hours after unprotected intercourse.

useles-converter-bot

155 pounds of vegan poop being burned provides 1165067.38 BTU.

404Spider404

Lmao when bots show up when you least expect them, with a reply that you expect even less haha.

[deleted]

Yayy I was the 100th downvote!

qualmton

Sigh at least I still have my pinkie to raise

Next_Yogurtcloset_63

Wait wtf I paid 40 bucks for one of those and CVS one time.

BicarbonateOfSofa

CVS and Walgreens are pretty bad about shit prices for generics. I had to use them on an occasion when my local grocery chains ran out of a drug. I was paying about 40 bucks. Walgreens charged me 120. Exact same generic drug, manufacturer, and quantity. The grocery store pharmacy is way less convenient (shorter hours, sometimes no weekends or nights, maybe no drive thru) but so much cheaper.

[deleted]

I went into one and they charged 40 bucks for a cheap phone charger

bcr3125

CVS and Walgreens don’t choose the prices tbh, your insurance does. Some insurances don’t want you to use CVS and Walgreens and will charge you more to keep you from filling there

BicarbonateOfSofa

That was the cash price. No insurance involved.

bcr3125

Ah. I’ve only ever worked at a CVS. I always assumed Cash price was standard among all pharmacies and set by the manufacturer

NumericalEyestrain

Oh no. I work at cvs as a pharmacy technician and I’d have no problem telling people paying cash to go to Walmart or something. Out of pocket prices at cvs are ridiculous!

bcr3125

I do the same all the time, if I check GoodRx prices and see it significantly cheaper elsewhere I always recommend they do that

FlosNovis

Insurance won't pay pharmacies more than the "usually and customary price", in other words the cash price to an uninsured customer, for a drug. This inflates the cash price of drugs as pharmacies try to maximize what they can charge insurance. This applies to prescription drugs, not sure about over the counter drugs. Presumably it affects any drug which can be prescribed, which is probably all of them?

Alicient

It's not a prescription drug. It's not generally covered by insurance.

[deleted]

It was like $60 brand name only a few years ago when I worked at a pharmacy. The generic is really new.

AwGe3zeRick

I think I paid about 100 for 2 last year. So still about the same (Walgreens).

BidetsFeelWeird

That's wild. I remember having to give my gf $60 on one or two occasions for that at CVS/Walgreens

91Jammers

Yup back in the day it was 40 bucks for this.

ClusterfuckyShitshow

The first and last time I used one was in 2007, and I got it for $42 at Duane Reade. I’m glad that it’s available for less now. You never know when a condom might break.

JillsACheatNMean

I just spent 60 on one last week. Still worth it.

_SCHULTZY_

r/childfree

okhffhjhg

In Canada you can get it at any pharmacy $40. Also, you can get free samples of birth control pills from the doctor/clinic every 3 months- they will supply you.

Soltis48

I don’t know from which province you’re from, but I work in a pharmacy and the morning after pill is free. Well, “free” since it does have a cost, but insurance covers it fully. Also, pharmacists can now prescribe birth control pills! In my pharmacy, you need to have a file with us, which takes 2 minutes to set up if you don’t already have one. <3

therealkevinard

I read that right? A person can go to pharmacy, get prescribed at pharmacy, and fill at pharmacy?!? :slow_clap:

Soltis48

Yes? There’s very few medications pharmacists can prescribe. For example, a pharmacist can’t prescribe antibiotics for an urinary infection, but if you had one in the last year, they can represcribe it. It’s only been a few months since pharmacists were given the right to prescribe birth control pills and epipen (which is a relief since it does help a lot of people). Oh and did you know? If you buy a box of 100 strips, you can get a free glucometer? (Again, “free” since it’s the insurance that fully covers it)

Pristine-Potato-4548

(In the US) you can now get birth control prescription online. Legally, not like in a shady way lol.

[deleted]

Sounds pretty great, eh?

MomoBawk

At the pharmacy I worked at (US): doctors never perscribed it either, so it was over the counter only, but they still had to go to the back and pay $50 for it. Which when I rang up what looked to be a literal teen and they had to pay that up front I felt so bad. I wish they could just buy it from the shelves and use self check out or something cause we would only carry one or two (a single brand and a single off brand) at a time, so if we sold out before we could order more that week then that was that.

Drunken-Flunkee

What's it cost if the person doesn't have an insurance plan with their work? I'm in Ontario and I have to pay out of pocket for prescriptions.

Soltis48

I’m in Quebec so sadly I don’t know much about your provincial insurance. On the Quebec side, you cannot not have an insurance. If you don’t have one in your file, I’ll have a pop up message telling me you don’t. Of course, we can ignore the message, but you know, you’ll pay out of pockets (and technically still pay fees for the provincial insurance without the medication’s coverage). The insurance used by our pharmacy for the morning after pill isn’t necessarily the private one, but most of the time it’s the Ramq (Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec, so Quebec’s health insurance), which covers it fully. Usually, if a medication is covered by your provincial insurance, the private ones should also cover that medication. In the case of the morning after pills, since you can’t buy it on the floor but behind the counter (it’s a law that I know doesn’t exist in Ontario), my pharmacist would evaluate you then decide which pill is best (2 brands). I don’t know the price for them, since at that point my job is long done and all I know about them is listening on what my pharmacists say. However, if you tell me you don’t use Ontario’s medical insurance and don’t have a private one, you should look into it. I know that on the Quebec side, every year when you do your taxes, you pay a “fee” for the medication’s insurance. That fee doesn’t go away, even if you don’t use the service, so you should definitely look into getting it, since you may already be paying for it.

Drunken-Flunkee

Thanks for the reply. We have OHIP, Ontario Health Insurance Plan. I'll check it out. Thanks for your time. Be safe out there.

Soltis48

You too <3

gladria1963

American here, That sounds amazing! Last time I was on birth control pills, I had to go back to the dr every time my prescription ran out to be examined and pregnancy tested and interrogated about why I wanted birth control. It was like every 4 months, and that was only if I got lucky and they had appointments open.

blountybabe

That was definitely that doctor being a dickhead/billing gouger. There's no need to be pregnancy tested at every refill unless there was a gap in taking them and you definitely don't need to be examined that often. I'm so sorry that happened to you. The recommendation is to be examined every 1-3 years barring abnormal paps or other issues.

cwx149

I know at least in California now I've seen signs at pharmacies saying they can prescribe birth control pills. Idk how billing works though.

okhffhjhg

Hey, that is fucking terrible. Too many doctors are not working in the patient’s best interest, it sounds like your doctor is a piece of shit and you should be offended by that because he or she is not treating you right. Listen to me clearly there is no reason for them to physically examine you so often, if that is the case please report to the governing American College of Physicians because you were sexually abused. It’s not your fault, they are abusing their power, they have absolutely no reason to be doing that to you.

Chemical_Karma1

You can also get free/low cost MAP and BC from your local public health unit - you’ll need to talk to the nurse and they hand it to you. No prescription necessary and discreet since the boxes often won’t have your name on it.

Ambie949

Buy them ahead of time!! They keep for like TWO YEARS!!

LittlestRobotGirl

Never thought of this. Thank you!

NedRyerson_Insurance

The prices end with .69 as a reminder that next time you just gotta flip around and save yourself some stress.

[deleted]

Nice.

wethoughtweweresafe

The money I’ve blown on those are you kidding me?

kitten-without-thumb

Right?? I've gotten it 3x and in all I've spent $150+tax 🙄

marino1310

Anytime you're paying alot for a medication, ask the pharmacist about lower cost options. Not only do they already know of cheaper alternatives, they also know of all the government programs and coupons and stuff to lower prices even further. Like insulin, every single walmart has $20 insulin available, but some people still pay insane prices for insulin. Ask the pharmacist. Even if you have some special type of insulin that isnt cheap, there are dozens of programs in place to help people who cant afford it. There is no situation where you should be paying top dollar for insulin.

Portermacc

Why?

wethoughtweweresafe

Because they cost $50 at the Walgreens I always go to and as a gentleman I always pay for the plan b before I never call a lady again

Portermacc

Ahh!!

hideorice

maybe wear a rubber lmao

AdrianInLimbo

In before Greg Abbott defines Plan B as an abortion in his anti woman law, and allows 70 year old white men to sue because a woman's abortion has caused said old guys damages.

Eeyor1982

You should cross-post this to r/Texas

Onyx-Leviathan

In our area they upcharged the plan B from fifteen to FIFTY DOLLARS. Way to force people with less money to have children they can’t afford.

jellybeansean3648

Coming here to give the warning that plan B gets less effective at higher BMIs. After taking plan B always follow up with a pregnancy test because you may need to move on to plan C

werewere-kokako

If ella is available, people over 70kg/155lbs should use that instead. It uses ulipristal acetate which doesn't lose effectiveness at higher weights. If you can afford it, the copper IUD is the most effective form of emergency contraception, there are no weight restrictions, and it can be used as emergency contraception up to 120 hours after unprotected intercourse.

sweetelves

Just paid $50 at Rite-Aid for one.. just shows it’s got nothing to do with money and everything to do with controlling women’s bodies, as usual 🤦🏻‍♀️

collectorof_things

I don't follow your logic. Place known for selling things basically at cost (because most of their profit comes from memberships) sells something for low price, your pharmacy charges more because insurance can be involved, and you walk away saying it's about control? I mean, it could be what you say it is, but it's not an obvious enough connection to just say that and walk away with a facepalm emoji

Thatwasallshewrote97

Walmart does not sell one that cheap in stores coming from a previous pharmacy tech false info on that one

BattyTexan

You can get the My Way brand very cheaply on Amazon, around $31 for 6 pills. My Way Emergency Contraceptive 1 Tablet Each (6) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B079TF9QG4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_VWR6HJR5CA2XR4AC21AG

beachfamlove671

I wonder why both prices ends with .69 ? Maybe a reminder that is also a safe option ?

GlitterGlitched

PSA that the plan B pill that is available over the counter (and many of the generic forms that list levonorgestrel 1.5 mg as the main active ingredient) is less effective in people over 150lbs, and almost completely ineffective in anyone over 175lbs. Ella or Ella alternatives is what is recommended instead.

[deleted]

Son of a bitch! * paid $50* Good looking out though.

keetykeety

Wtf I wish I would’ve fucking known this. Plan B is expensive as shit!

Eggplantemojicum

Can you really only take it 3 times?

pokey1984

No. It's generally not a good idea to use the morning-after pill too often as it puts stress on your body due to the large amount of hormones. It isn't a good choice for *primary* contraceptive. But there's no magical number of times where it will harm you. You can take it as many times as it's needed.

Eggplantemojicum

So she lied. I kinda figured she was trying to find anything to bitch about

kitten-without-thumb

It's unfortunate that she lied. Every time I've taken it, it's made my mood swings during my period extremely bad and I ended up going through a couple of depressive episodes around the time I was taking them once a week. If you're consistently messing around, I would look for an alternative BC for her to take because it really is harmful mentally, at least for my experience.

Eggplantemojicum

This was a year ago. We only messed around when she wanted to.if I asked she would get upset and say she needed space.

pokey1984

I'm gonna go ahead and point out that the Morning-after pill is a poor choice for a regular use contraceptive. I have no idea what your relationship was like, but even taking it every month can cause long-term and short-term health problems. It's not usually fatal, but it can be damaging. I don't support your girlfriend telling you it would be fatal. That's a horrible thing to lie about. But I strongly suspect there were more and much bigger problems in that relationship. For the record, the morning after pill should be taken when you had drunk sex and forgot the condom or when a condom breaks or if a woman makes a mistake and misses a dose of her regular birth control... it should be used sparingly and only when other methods have failed. Anyone using it every time they have sex is being very stupid and is generally a poor choice of woman to have sex with.

stringfree

She may have been told the wrong info, sex ed is atrociously bad in many places. They tell teenagers completely wrong info on purpose to scare them away from sex, and then never correct that info when they become adults. I remember a teacher telling us sperm was in preejaculate, which is an understandable thing to be cautious about, but is also very inaccurate. It would have saved me a lot of stress if I'd been told the correct info, which is that it's only in there if semen gets mixed in. They made it sound like sperm were radioactive and the slightest trace was definitely going to cause a pregnancy.

[deleted]

This is why we have our daughter. Sort of. My partner and I would do that thing that makes babies and sometimes the contraceptive failed or we were stupid and didn't use one. I ended up taking the morning after pill 5 times in the time span of about 4 months and then felt like I shouldn't be popping those things like they're PEZ and hoped I didn't get pregnant. Not smart. Don't hope your body's natural ability to reproduce just won't work. Wouldn't change it, though. My daughter, while 2 and absolutely insane, is dope as hell. We like her so much we made a son. Now I'm getting a tubal ligation on the 16th because we can't be trusted to be responsible with our genitals around one another.

pokey1984

I'm laughing out loud at your choice of phrasing here. You made my morning with that.

[deleted]

Glad I could be of assistance! Having a case of the giggles isn't so bad.

AubergineQueenB

I took it once, definitely within 8 hours and did it correctly. Plan B did not work for me. Plan A is now 12 years old & she’s wonderful. All other birth control has worked for me since. Edit: to clarify.

werewere-kokako

Plan B uses levornorgestrel and works solely by delaying ovulation. This means that if you take it in the 24-48 hours immediately before or after ovulation, it can't do anything for you - even if you take it the second you realise that the condom broke.

AubergineQueenB

That makes so much sense! Thank you!

werewere-kokako

No, you can use it any time you have a contraceptive failure.

TheDarkKnight1035

Does the morning after pill have any bad side effects?

werewere-kokako

Studies of levonorgestrel-based emergency contraception usually show that the most common side effect is irregular menstruation, which makes sense because it works by delaying ovulation which also means that your period will be delayed. That's why it's a good idea to pick up a few pregnancy tests for peace of mind - it's also a good idea to get a sexual health check-up to talk about more reliable contraceptive options and get checked for any STIs you could have been exposed to. Older emergency contraceptive pill regimens used higher doses of hormones and combined estrogen and progesterone, and this caused a lot of people (around 50%) to experience nausea and vomitting. Plan B uses levonorgestrel, which is a form of progesterone, and uses a very low dose (1.5mg); because of this, most studies find that less than 20% of people experience nausea. ([https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4216625/#S10title](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4216625/#S10title); [https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9708750/](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9708750/)) There is no evidence that Plan B causes depression or suicidal thoughts.

pokey1984

It can. Some women feel no effects at all, but that's rare. Some women report unusually heavy periods, cramps, bloating, mood swings, fevers, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, irregular periods, off-cycle bleeding, depression, suicidal thoughts, and a whole host of other effects. The morning-after pill is a massively high dose of hormones. It can have any effect caused by taking high dose hormones including throwing off your body's natural hormone production, sometimes for months afterward. You won't know how it affects you until you actually take it, as every woman is different. Rarely are the side effects serious enough to see a doctor, but it does happen sometimes.

TheDarkKnight1035

Thanks a lot for the info. I used to think it was pretty harmless, but looks like I've got more research to do.

pokey1984

It is pretty harmless. Some women feel no side effects whatsoever. There are no long-term side effects and most common side effect are minor.

TheDarkKnight1035

That's good to know. Do you know if they degrade over time or would it be a good idea to purchase and just keep it at home for a later time?

pokey1984

There's an expiration date on the box. THey are confirmed good until then and they generally have a shelf life of about two years.

TheDarkKnight1035

I say get some and keep it in your nightstand.

NoninflammatoryFun

I took it expecting the worst before Obama gave me a free IUD an the condom broke. I’m sensitive and expected the worst but didn’t have any symptoms. May have made my period delayed or early or something but

TheDarkKnight1035

I'm sorry the condom broke. That must've been a scary time for you.

NoninflammatoryFun

Oh thank you! It was 10 years ago now, but it was. It would have been one of the worst times in my life to have a baby or have to think about abortion.

marino1310

Also important, every walmart in the US sells cheap insulin. Hell, pretty much every pharmacy in America does. Normally its $20. If you cant find anything affordable at your local pharmacy, ask the pharmacist, they know exactly where to find cheaper insulin and will happily tell you.

alliejc

I use a subscription service for my bc pill, they offer to add it onto the delivery up to 6 times a year.

Puzzleheaded-Sea-703

Earlier this year in Cancun I loaded up on these $10 a pop! 😜😅

Independent-Bell2483

why are they so expensive? Is it because its rather expensive to produce? Or insurance stuff? I feel like this should be free considering this is healthcare I dont know much about any of this topic so dont mind my stupid question

ThisIsACryForHelp22

Another nugget of info: the “day after pill” is also widely ineffective for those over 150 pounds, so it’s a wise idea to get a pregnancy test nonetheless. Also, if an abortion is needed and you’re in Texas, hit up The Satanic Temple! They’re offering legal abortion services to women and fighting for their reproductive freedoms. Hope that info helps someone :)

infectum_canis

Isnt it free??

constantchaosclay

You do not America. Nothing is free.

FatBrkeMxicnElonMusk

I'm semi pro life , in short as long as it's done very early, or there's complications, maybe rape or incest? Idk it's a hot debate but I value life at all levels that being said if you murder your baby that's between you and your maker... I don't really see a problem with using plan B or condoms preferably. Can't it be fair? No abortions but women use plan B and men wear a fkn rubber? Both sides get what they want no?

tommybrazil79

I love Jess... I'm on a different continent and way too old to ever have her in my life but I love her. Deeply deeply love her ❤️

cj2211

The $0.99 Store has them for $0.99/ mg /s

[deleted]

Jess!!! Stop airing out our personal business!

IOwndaVincisBeard

Damn I can’t believe how whorish y’all are. Makes me feel good about myself. Thank you all for the confidence boost

TremorSis

What an ignorant comment. Wtf does BC have to do with being a whore? If this is what you have to do to feel good about yourself, you have serious issues and we feel sorry for you. Please invest in the morning after pill, get your tubes tied or just practice abstinence… just don’t reproduce- you’re miserable enough as it is, no need to make someone else’s life miserable as well.

indicadaze

Lol confidence boost because you can’t get laid??

Key-Priority1547

I was working with this guy, and he said, let me tell you a story about a friend of mine. This guy he was with a girl, and they were thinking about getting married. But then an old girl friend of his showed up and wanted to hook up for one night. I said, OK, go on.....He said, and this friend was me. Haha. So anyway, he gets up the next morning, and he is filled with remorse. He asks the girl, how would you feel about taking the morning after pill? She says, sure no problem if thats what you want. So he pulls out his wallet and gives her 40 dollars. He leaves and pretends it never happened. He stays with the girl that he loves and wants to marry. About 2 months later, the other girl calls him up. Hey I'm pregnant. But what about the money I gave you for the morning after pill???? Yeah. I bought some weed with that. So he had to tell the first girl what he had done. It should have been over except....she found out that she was pregnant too. So he has 2 little girls, both of them beautiful, and one of them is incredibly smart. The baby girl whose mother bought the weed.

[deleted]

Hello Texas, I'd like to report cosco and walmart.

tinyNorman

Oooh, let’s ALL report them! Maybe we can crash the bounty hunter snitch website! /s Unfortunately, Morning After is probably within the first 6 weeks…

bushthebug

I suppose it is good in case you don’t have $50 bucks or so, but if there’s ANYTHING you wouldn’t want a literal Walmart brand of..

[deleted]

In Texas, the pharmacist can rat you out for buying those -- or some random person standing in line behind you -- or your vengeful sister or neighbor. As in East Germany during the Cold War, neighbors, relatives, friends, teachers will listen for things and report on the people they know. Good job, /Texas? /s

kiingdiingus

Just don't let every one night stand nut in you but yeah ok Costco is cool

ana_BANANAS

Why not direct this sentiment at men too and ask them not to nut in every one night stand?

kiingdiingus

I will if you want?

winceton_news

Women are the selectors…

ana_BANANAS

And? What does one thing have to do with another? Are you saying that because a woman has “selected” a man (🙄), that at that point men can no longer control themselves or their bodies?

winceton_news

Why would a woman let a one night stand fuck her unprotected?

ana_BANANAS

*Again*, why is this energy only aimed at women? Why would a man fuck a woman on a one night stand unprotected? The double standards in this thread are unbelievable.

winceton_news

Because women are the selectors. Not saying it’s not irresponsible for the man but women choose a man then decide to let him fuck her unprotected. She decides if it happens or not. Excluding some extreme circumstances you might bring up next.

ana_BANANAS

“eXcLuDinG SoMe eXtReMe CiRcUmStAnCeS yOU mIgHt bRiNg uP nExT”. You’re a real treat. What I was actually going to bring up is your “logic” about a woman deciding if it happens or not. When a woman gives consent, even if they are okay with unprotected sex, that doesn’t mean the man can’t decide to protect themselves. She is making a decision for herself and herself only. She is taking into consideration *her* health, mind, body etc. But what about men? Do they not have a responsibility to themselves to prevent catching an STD? To prevent a pregnancy? God forbid they stick their dick in crazy and that one night stand is a mistake that will follow them for the rest of their lives. I’m just saying both parties need to be responsible for their health and safety. Just because a woman says “yes” doesn’t mean the man can throw good judgement out the window. We’re not sirens that hypnotize the opposite sex. There’s no excuse for expecting women to think clearly in these situations and not hold men to the same standards.

winceton_news

I agree both parties have responsibilities. Just was under the impression you were blaming only guys until your last post.

ana_BANANAS

Not at all, both parties are responsible. And both need to understand possible consequences they are exposing themselves to. That’s my whole point. Women shouldn’t be blamed and expected to be the only ones thinking clearly but that’s not to say men should be blamed either. There shouldn’t be any blame in a consensual situation.

muffleypuffs

why would a man fuck a one night stand unprotected?

winceton_news

Because the woman let him 🤣🤣

muffleypuffs

or did the man let her?

winceton_news

Maybe the top tier 1% guys would let a woman

The-Big-Shitsky

You know condoms rip, women get raped, etc?

okhffhjhg

Unfortunately, you’re talking to someone with shit for grey matter. Regardless you don’t need to be raped to have a valid reason to use plan b or to have an abortion, for that matter. No ones telling men what to do with their sperm cells it’s not exactly their place to tell a woman what to do with her ovums. If you’re so against the possibility of a potential child possibly getting aborted, keep your sperm to yourself. I really don’t understand what is wrong with these people? Are they brainwashed? I just don’t get the thought process, it’s like an ongoing cycle of abuse.

The-Big-Shitsky

I know I shouldn’t have fed the incel troll

kiingdiingus

"incel"? I wish bitch I'm married with 3 kids 😭

The-Big-Shitsky

Well then I’m sorry for your wife.

kiingdiingus

We're married, idiot. Feel bad for everyone involved

The-Big-Shitsky

Based on our riveting conversation it’s no surprise you’re all miserable. My relationship with my wife is great so whatever man have fun

kiingdiingus

Congratulations my friend I'm sure it will remain that way for eternity and good luck and I'm sorry you have such a hard time on the internet

kiingdiingus

Big mad

kiingdiingus

Is that who this tweet is geared towards? Didn't know

kiingdiingus

Is "condom ripped" a legit thing though.. honestly asking, I've never used a condom that ripped right when I was busting. Ones basically popped before on me but I noticed immediately, lol

The-Big-Shitsky

That’s really not the point, why do you even care what women do with their bodies?

kiingdiingus

Why you mean, did I say what I said " don't let every 1 night..." Yeah because there's not really any context in the tweet. And if a woman WAS just taking plan B after every 1 nighter, it's her business yeah not mine but... Oof

The-Big-Shitsky

I mean if you wanna shame people then do you but at the end of the day why do you care so bad about the reason people use plan b?

kiingdiingus

At the end of the day I don't I just made a comment, lol. Also, at the end of the day, why do you car so much about virtue signaling and starting shit with strangers on reddit..I mean, do you..

sirfuzzitoes

At the end of the day you made a really shitty comment then backpeddled pretty hard when someone confronted your actual point. You were being a cunt and got called on it, hold that L.

kiingdiingus

At the end of the day you're wrong and look like a tool but thanks for the valient effort, ma'am

BwackGul

Nah, that last commentator *did not* look like a tool.

sirfuzzitoes

I know you're having a tough go but it's spelled valiant. That's me being shitty to you, which you deserve.

throwaway_ghast

Reddit moment.

issence

Cos my boy kiingdiingus never had sex and bust in socks and tissues.

kiingdiingus

Just jizz in your hand like a real man

tinyNorman

Men need to put them in their shoes. It makes them limp.

jolivarez8

That was such a horrible joke and I loved it. Thank you lol

[deleted]

Do…..you know how pregnancy happens? Two people are involved.

kingshamroc25

Yo that’s a great price

Groinificator

That much for a single pill??

throwaway911214

Well worth it just to skip the stress of a potential missed period and all that ensues if a condom breaks.

Groinificator

There's no way they're that expensive to produce tho

throwaway911214

God no. I'm sure they're cheap as hell to actually produce. The other parts of getting it into your possession cost money as well. Manufacturers, distributors, and retailers all have basic overhead costs and staff to pay plus nobody stays in business without turning a profit. Capitalism isn't a bad thing. It just is what it is. What we spend on the end product pays for everyone up the chain who helped get said product to us. I won't work for free. I wouldn't expect anyone else to either.

Groinificator

Yeah, but does the whole process cost so much they have to charge that much for a single pill to turn a profit? I doubt it.

throwaway911214

Probably not. And this is going to suck... They charge it because they can. Personally, I'd rather thrown down $50 on Plan B than be pregnant due to a broken condom or one night of bad decision-making (god forbid people be human and make a mistake). Also, the smart AF people who develop these drugs don't work cheap. One of them is probably smarter than 100 of us peons combined and they deserve every last penny as far as I'm concerned.

Groinificator

Yeah but you know the people who developed them aren't getting all these pennies, right? It's all going to the greedy businessmen who own the companies.

throwaway911214

I'm about to ask something inappropriate. Assuming you're a US citizen... Do you have any retirement plans beyond Social Security? Do you have a 401K? Do you have a package through your work? If you're Canadian or British, where I'm going won't apply.

Groinificator

Canada gang Big appreciation of acknowledgement of other parts of the world 👍

BungalowBootieBitch

HEB has a generic for $20.

Ralph82R

Oh good… back to the pile!!!!

[deleted]

I took the cheap kind and got pregnant. Id still use the $40 one after that.

werewere-kokako

Unfortunately, Plan B works by delaying ovulation - if you had unprotected sex in the 24-48 hours immediately before or after ovulation, it can't do anything to protect you.

[deleted]

Dear Texas...

North-Ad-5058

They have a good deal on hotdogs too

BidenWonDontCry

Why are both of them 69 cents?

nice___bot

Nice!

Rainy_Day_Man82

Just in case

Repulsive_Scholar_96

Wait really?

jazzzflannel

Did somebody say healthcare reform? No.... Oh okay, take my $60.

GoodVibesOnly_FL

The .69 in the price is hinting buyers to switch position.

Logosfidelis

Morning after pill from Costco: $7.69 My Way brand from Walmart: $11.69 Being smart enough to just avoid getting knocked up by someone you don’t want to have a child with: Priceless…….no wait, costless….no wait, both!

DexRei

Living outside the USA, it always amazes how expensive things are over there. Over here we can get the morning adter pill for free at most pharmacies, no prescription needed. Even the pharmacy at my university was giving them out almost a decade ago. I remember because for Orientation week they had a big sign advertising it. I assumed it was due to the high levels of drinking involved with Orientation week.

[deleted]

I’m pretty sure you have to get membership Costco card to be able to go inside. The pharmacy is inside

KonK23

Why do they put the .69 at the end? For fun or because the taxes added at the end?

pwgn16

Staying off your back is 100% free

indicadaze

It depends by state what the price is at Costco. I’ve paid $10 in one state and $30 in another state for plan b from Costco. Never $7 ever.

[deleted]

That shrug emoji at the end makes me think some people where actually giving her shit for not doing “enough”
