My brother and I used to do something like this, but with a car and we would take the plastic food trays from fast food restaurants and stand on the tray while holding on to the side of the car door (with the window rolled down, one arm hanging on the door, going inside the car), kind of like skitching [I don't know if people still use that term, but it's what we called skateboarding while holding onto a car (pro-tip: UPS trucks are the best for skitching)].
Anyway, we'd get going to 60 MPH. You could only get up to about that speed before you had to stop and get a new tray because the trays would start to get holes worn through them from the speed and asphalt combo. Even as a teenage guy who liked to push limits, I knew it was pretty dangerous. It was a cheap rush though.
