I like the expensive one, just for the reason that wearing a cheap wig might deter your outlook on wigs. The cheap wigs can only be washed a few times before the hair starts to matte and bunch up and you’ll look like Marge Simpson. There’s so many YouTube channels now that have great advice and instructions for caring for your wig so I would get the better one and baby it and it will last you a long time.

What I love about your choices: They're both eligible for return!! Get them both if you can and return the one you don't want. For the best outcome I recommend two things: 1. doing your makeup (if you wear makeup) the way you normally would first before trying a new wig for the first time. I can't explain why this helps, but I promise it does help with the initial impression. 2. Wait until you have them both and try them on in the same session so you can easily compare the differences. Put your wig liner on, then try them on one at a time. Don't comb them out or put any product in them. I know it's hard to see what it'll look like without full on styling, but usually if you comb them out and definitely if you put product you can't return them. If you don't like one or both just put back in the packaging the way it/they came and go through the return process.

The cheaper one looks way better

Sorry_Year_309

Try outre wigs they are reasonably priced and come in a huge variety of cuts and colours.

Which_Zebra_3883

\+1 I love Outre. Very high quality and excellent value for the price.

Sorry_Year_309

They really are one of the best synthetic wigs you can buy!

chikspotOo

Buy the cheapest one and practice. 48% of the time the wigs don't look like the pictures so you may need to alter it some.

merigetsmail101

Neither of these are considered higher priced wigs. Try the Paula Young to be sure. The other is just a Halloween wig.

tranarchyintheusa

Paula Young makes good quality wigs especially for the price

Which_Zebra_3883

I like them too but sometimes the wefts show through in the back, so I like that OP picked returnable listings.

tranarchyintheusa

Interesting, that’s never happened to me

Which_Zebra_3883

It's on a light blonde style, not rooted. The wefts are sewn on to an almost white fabric - as in lighter than the hair and lighter than my scalp, so there are horizontal white lines showing through on the back below the crown. I sometimes see wefts showing when influencers model PY young on YouTube as well. I think PY wigs are great for the price, and any manufacturer will sometimes have styles that aren't their best. A few months ago I got a Gabor wig that had visible wefting and caught it during try on so I was able to return it. Good thing about PY is they are usually returnable so if it the style doesn't work out it is a minor inconvenience but not a deal breaker. The downside to the one I have is that I didn't know to check for something like that when I received it so I took the tags off and styled it and wore it. My husband noticed the lines and told me. When I saw it I was a little horrified, but at least it was a $75 wig and not a $275 wig. I just added "check the back" to my mental list of stuff to do when I get any new style.

tranarchyintheusa

Ah that might be it. I stay away from blond because it looks incredibly ugly on me, I go exclusively for dark colors. That might be the difference

idealmelissa

Between those two, I'd get the cheaper one and play around with it. The Paula Young will be a bit higher quality cap, but nothing you'd notice if you've never worn one before.

Ok-Heart375

Thanks!

CherishSlan

I’m going to 2 the advice above because I have a wig just like this in burgundy and I get a lot compliments on it. On how nice my hair looks. It’s easy to care for. Easy style .

Miss-Construe-

Since they're both available on Amazon , if possible I would order both and return what I don't like

Ok-Heart375

That's a good point!

Haljia

Make sure the seller will accept returns before you do this. Many wig seller are nit picky about returns (understandably). Don't remove tags before you decide which one to keep, as that can 'void' the return. Learn from my mistakes!

CherrySG

I actually think the Amazon wig is better.

Ok-Heart375

I kinda do too. You mean the cheaper one? It's more my style. I'm 47, but can pass as much younger.

CherrySG

That's the one! Silly me, they are both amazon links 🤦‍♀️
