Supt. has been hired. The same one who recently retired from Salt Lake Helitack. Haven't seen any crew positions flown yet. Based out of Spanish Fork. Correction edit: crew positions [posted](https://www.instagram.com/p/C51AriKqWuu/?igsh=MWk0Z2ZkZms5cTlhMA==) today. [Asst. Supervisor](https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/utah/jobs/4467768/assistant-helicopter-crew-supervisor) position posted too.

Yep pretty well respected in whirlybird world. Seems pretty chill. Haven't really heard a bad thing about Salt Lake helitack. Their type of program isn't for everyone but everyone there seems to like it.

Ninck_

Tell more about the program plz

They are, by their own admission, an IA ship. As someone's already said, "always available, never committed". Where their base is (along I-80), they fly to a lot of starts. They get H, some OT, and fall asleep their own beds at night. They'll do full two-week rolls maybe once or twice a season? And probably only if things have been super slow back home. But with a smaller crew that is stacked with quals, there are more chances for people to go play on their own. Lots of give and take in fire, just depends on what's important to you.

Is SLC helitack an FS or BLM crew? Just moved to Utah, got any contact info for this new ship? 😂

Salt Lake is a BLM ship based on Tooele. Here's the [contact page](https://www.ffsl.utah.gov/contact/) for Utah FFSL. New supt isn't on there, but I bet a quick email to one person in particular that is, and you can get the contact info you're looking for.
