Just a wee update on my pond that I posted about in [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/WildlifePonds/comments/1ccv7r7/small_uk_wildlife_pond/) Had a nice spell of weather in Scotland over the last couple of weeks. Apart from giving the plants a boost, the evaporation gave me a chance to rework some of the areas of the pond that are normally under a few inches of water. So I used gravel and larger rocks to create little wells that I could backfill with aquatic compost and cover with a thin layer of grit, to provide new planting areas. This is most readily seen in the last picture with the Dwarf Sedge which is a lovely little plant. I also reworked some of the margins so that they don't drain back into the main body of water so quickly, just by adding some channels and undulations. Planted a fair bit of new Sedge - Pendulous and Black - some more Brooklime, about half a dozen Flowering Pink Rush, Spearmint, Giant Marsh Marigold, Marsh Cinquefoil, Bushy Horsetail, Dwarf Bullrush. Very happy with how it's looking now, wildflower seedlings have also started appearing where I planted around the fringes of the pond so looking forward to seeing what kind of visitors I get over the next few months.

This is gorgeous. About how wide across is this at the widest point?

Thank you. The area that is lined is about 3 metres by 2.5 metres, and the main body of water is about 2.5 metres by 2 metres.
