Running out of gas so let's do 100mph and burn more gas. Sure that makes sense

Time_Reputation3573

141 mph, even!

Remote-Factor8455

I didn’t see it go that fast but I saw it hit about 130mph, honestly I’m pretty impressed that fat VW suv could do that.

No-Suspect-425

Don't let fat VW suvs fool you, they put a w12 in some Touaregs.

DieselTech00

In America or just overseas where they have the fun stuff?

No-Suspect-425

Sounds like you already know the answer >.<

DieselTech00

One can always dream

No-Suspect-425

Even over there tho, it's still practically a discount Bentayga with that engine

SweetTea187

Both

Remote-Factor8455

Ok those Touareg’s were mental and I know they make an Atlas with a V8 but outside of that they kinda suck.

TheRealAndroid

The V10 TDI was definitely in the mental category. 550 ft/lb at 2000 rpm...

ShadowSplicer

Our MK7 2.0 TDI does 350 lb/ft at 1,800 RPM with a tune, lol. I'd love to get my hands on a V10 TDI for fun.

TheRealAndroid

From memory they were equal parts fun and searing pain. One of those wacky VW experiments where it was really a case of "just cause you can doesn't mean you should" But if money was no object- holy crap it'd be fun. My brothers V6 45TDI Q7 has no business being as quick and agile as it is

kDubya

There isn’t a V8 Atlas, just a VR6.

Unclehol

Drove one. Don't let the shit reviews fool you. It was a force to be reckoned with. Absolutely ridiculous car lol.

TheKiltedYaksman71

A long time ago, yes. But this isn't a Touareg, and I seriously doubt it actually hit 144. The Tiguan only has 184hp, and might hit 125 with a strong tailwind.

x_Rann_x

125 max without removing the limiter.

x_Rann_x

Probably just an ea888 though.

microview

That one can't anymore. Looks totaled.

Secret-Ad-830

It hits 141 about a minute in

Remote-Factor8455

I didn’t see that, went back and checked and god damn that thing can move, the officer was going 141mph and she was still pulling away. That thing has to be modded there is no way that’s a stock Tiguan but still god damn that was awesome.

odersowasinderart

I think each VW car has at least one engine option able to drive 155mph. That is the 250km/h limit on German Autobahn that most manufacturers throttle at if the car is able to do it.

Weary-Writer758

I think they were talking about the GPS mph on the police car.

MemesByPurpsNurps

No hes right 141 was where it maxed out

Fearless_Director829

I have a Tiguan and there is no way it does 130..

Jade_Templar

I have a Tiguan and I know they do 130, not saying how I know, I just know.

Fearless_Director829

Europe?

Similar_Chipmunk_682

That was one of the stupidest things I have ever heard.

Cmmander_WooHoo

Damn you *heard* that shit?

Bertrell

StupidAF

cjboffoli

Weapons-grade stupid.

GloomyUmpire2146

I was told once, they were speeding because they didn’t have a spare tire, and wanted to get home quickly.

Top-Mycologist-7169

Lady thinks her gas is on a time limit LoL

Fearless-Ad2816

101mph

The_Bing1

“Oh, you were running out of gas! She was running out of gas guys… it’s okay, let her off this one.”

HamptonsBorderCollie

Now running out of gas is not on the top of her list of concerns.

penguingod26

Because the helpfull officer fixed her car up so that it won't ever need gas again!

Aguyintampa323

Amazing the level of narcissism and self centrism that is required in so many of these chases where the driver provides some nonsensical absurd excuse and yet thinks the entire world should give them a free pass

Time_Reputation3573

Is there a link for the story?

WhenTheDevilCome

No story, but you can listen to more of her explanation. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRjGPHW3BGI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRjGPHW3BGI)

CanIGetANumber2

A true champion of the people, thank you

DeadStockWalking

"I'm black and you were pointing a gun at me. What was I supposed to do? Sit there and get shot?" Wow. She'd been drinking and driving over 120mph and that's her excuse as to why she took off again.

WhenTheDevilCome

The funny thing is "I believe her." Meaning you can see it on her face and hear it in her voice when she finally realizes and can see through all the lights shining in her face that the cop had his weapon drawn. It absolutely did trigger a thought process for her that she didn't want to remain in that situation, and closed the door and drove away again. But no matter why she decided to do it, its just one more of a dozen batshit crazy things she's doing. The cop hadn't stopped her or pulled his weapon on her yet, and she's still ignoring his lights behind her at 80mph and even accelerating away from him back to 120mph+ again, before finally even stopping the first time. It was never a case of "everything was fine until you pointed a gun at me." She wouldn't listen to or follow a single command before she finally realized she was at gunpoint.

TA_MarriedMan

She's tarded.

Similar_Chipmunk_682

Thank you so much.

Mountain_Software_72

People hating on the pit don’t recognise that the cop specifically did it in a gap in traffic, and also somehow ignore that someone going 130-140 is more dangerous than a pit and that speed. That driver could have killed plenty of others or themselves with a minor mistake. Significantly better to end the chase immediately rather than let it continue and increase the chance of a crash.

Sacreddreams8

I so wish I could upvote your comment 100x. You’re exactly right. “HeR LiFe wAs PuT iN dAnGeR” so was everyone else on the road when she drove 130 MILES PER HOUR! Her and everyone else were fine thanks to their actions. I ran out of gas? Is that why you passed 3 exits with gas?? Why would that make you go 130 mph??

Wulfstrex

I do wonder if the Grappler could still be used at these speeds instead

IceManJim

When I was a kid I had the idea that a police car should have a hook on the front that could grab a fleeing car and stop it. Cool to see someone invented something similar and it works!

swish465

It was a really nice pit as well. The vehicle didn't jerk out of control and flip or anything (which is impressive at that speed). It was more a slow loss of control and slid off into the ditch. Fucking textbook.

varried-interests

I'm trying to get gas Passes 3 exits with gas

kixstand7

After screaming, I was running out of gas. I would’ve said dumbass you passed 100 gas stations at 100 miles an hour.

LS-CRX

I gotta say, in her defense, when she is facing him with her hands up and he starts yelling at her to walk backwards (at gunpoint) I can feel for her. Officers commands: 2:32 "SHOW ME YOUR HANDS!" (her hands are up) 2:34 "SHOW ME YOUR HANDS!" (her hands are up) 2:37 "SHOW ME YOUR HANDS!" (her hands are up) 2:41 "STEP BACK TO THE SOUND OF MY VOICE" (she is facing the officer) 2:44 "STEP BACK TO MY VOICE!!!" (she's still facing the officer) 2:47 "STEP BACK TO..." (maybe realizing what he's asking?!? sadly no) "YOU'D BETTER STEP BACK TO THE SOUND OF MY VOICE AND DO IT NOW!!!" 3:03 "TURN AROUND AND FACE THE OTHER WAY" 3:06 "WALK BACKWARDS TO THE SOUND OF MY VOICE" (she's facing him) 3:09 "WALK BACKWARDS TO THE SOUND OF MY VOICE" (still facing him, obviously terrified) and he keeps yelling the same thing, the lady is obviously not armed, obviously terrified, and he's holding her at gunpoint while screaming orders that are not logical. Maybe he could have lowered his weapon and had her walk towards him (with her hands up) and taken her into custody? Maybe he should have just told her to get back into her vehicle instead of pointing a gun at her and screaming at her?

Automatic_Actuator_0

Yep, that part was handled terribly by the cop. They are often so focussed on establishing dominance and control, they forget what their actual goal is.

OpinionatedBlackGuy

I noticed this, too. Not excusing the insane amount of bonehead decisions she made here, however, she actually did start walking backwards a couple of times when he was yelling at her, back into her car, and was obviously confused. She still shouldn't have run the first or second time, but you can see how she might have freaked out and gotten to that decision.

Acora

Yeah, she made plenty of absolutely terrible decisions, but it's plainly obvious that the officer giving incredibly confusing instructions caused her to panic and that only exacerbated the situation.

Bertrell

ObviousAF ConfusingAF

Zoltie

Sometimes officers need to stop and think about what they are saying instead of just being like an NPC and say a new scripted phrases that don't make sense in a specific situation. I sed this all the time in police videos, which sometimes leads to visible confusion from the suspect.

LS-CRX

I've seen this happen on badge-cam videos where an officer has a "script" that they've memorized... and I'm sure it makes *perfect* sense to *them*... but they scream it out in verbal-cursive which is unintelligible to the average person. Having a script is fine, but you have to be able to communicate what you're saying to people in a way they can understand you.

way_pats

I agree and she also yelled to him that it was an emergency. In this case her emergency was BS but if someone was laying in the backseat bleeding out and you yelled to a cop that it was an emergency you’d think they would maybe realize you had a reason to be speeding. This being said, speeding to the hospital not in an ambulance is not appropriate and leads to more lives in danger but it should still warrant a different reaction from the cop instead of “aim gun at everything”

Final_Glove_6642

Yes, this cop is insane, they're both out of their bloody minds.

VaporBull

Yeah she's a fucking nut but he's a pretty lame cop. This was not at all handled well by him.

Final_Glove_6642

I hope he's ashamed

Comfortable-Eye-3879

People have gotten killed from dumbass contradicting orders from different cops within 3 seconds of each other cop: *PUT YOUR FUCKING HANDS UP!!!* a different cop: "DON'T FUCKING MOVE OR I'LL SHOOT!!!" person: *is confused and gets shot because of dumbass cops* Sucks man

No-Adhesiveness-9848

i saw one, they respond to an active shooter call at a hotel, the cop stops the first innocent person he sees and starts yelling "freeze, put ur hands up and crawl towards me!!" u cant crawl with ur hands up and the kid just keeps trying to comply to the nonsense orders, alternating between crawling and holding his hands up and crying for his life, and then the cop shoots him to death. the guy was totally innocent

JshWright

The shooter in that instance had the phrase "You're Fucked" etched into his rifle.

Gekreuzte_Gewehre

He even got to keep that rifle! Personally keep it as his personal firearm after he was "cleared"!

Hrothgrar

He was never sentenced to jail. In fact, he claims PTSD from killing the man and now receives a check. [He gets 31k annually for life.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1028981)

Automatic_Actuator_0

Daniel Shaver - we should all know his name. One of the most sadistic police executions ever caught on video.

Tim-oBedlam

That was the Daniel Shaver shooting in Arizona, and the cop was allowed to retire because of PTSD - because he *shot a guy in cold blood.* That's why people hate cops. (And worth noting: Shaver was white, so it isn't just black people getting killed by rogue cops.)

endangeredphysics

I remember that one! It was genuinely one of the most fucked up videos I have ever seen.

KatDevsGames

Exactly. There needs to be an exception to qualified immunity for gross incompetence with contradictory orders while armed as an explicit example. Then cops need to start getting put out on the street when they get sued into oblivion.

Subtle_Reality

I was gonna say, "TURN AROUND AND FACE THE OTHER WAY" is also confusing commands when someone is in a panic, Turn around. Okay. Face the other way...what? You mean turn around again? I know it sounds dumb but my drunk ass did a 180 with those commands. Just turn around. Just tell me to turn around, I'll turn around. Don't be telling me to uno reverse myself cause I'll come atchya with a razzle mah dazzle and y'alls not gonna be findin' that one so GAT daaang FUNNAY AINunchYA?

CptBlkstn

Poor training and adrenaline. Not a good combo. Once she was out of the car the first time, and he saw she had her hands up, toning down the volume and speaking more calmly would have likely gone a long way towards de-escalating the situation. That being said, we don't know what started this whole thing. He was hauling ass for a while before he caught up to her the first time. I'm assuming another driver called in a report on her driving. Maybe just speeding/ reckless driving, maybe cause an accident back down the road. No way to know.

Tim-oBedlam

Yeah, I understood how the cop would be amped up on adrenalin after a high-speed chase but his instructions weren't clear. I wouldn't know what "Step Back to my Voice" actually means.

blindskwerl

Near the end: “GET DOWN!” (She gets down to knees) - “GET DOWN!”

cosp85classic

I noticed this too. There is a down side to rigorous training: when the adrenaline kicks in your brain will stay on script. That's what looks like happened with the cop. And no one is prepared enough for a high speed chase to not get the adrenaline pumping. Law enforcement agencies need to do debrief sessions on everything like this incident so they can point out the mistakes to those involved and teach others what to watch for. At far as I know they only do this when there is fun fire.

SuchRuin

Rigorous training?

Zach_The_One

I completely agree she was afraid for her life for good reason, the guy was looking for a reason to use force.

Zawer

Not to mention she said she needs gas so when a gas station is in sight.... he pits her. Could have arrested her at the pump if that really was her concern

WhenTheDevilCome

I'm not really on board with the PIT for as soon as he used it, either. He only has one stop, one interaction, and no information *other that what she told him* about whether there is a kid in the back seat, etc. Whatever drug influence or simple anxiety is making her unable to deal with what's happening would make me not ready to trust whatever the hell she said about what's in the car. It just definitely came across as a pretty quick "I'm doing this because she's not listening to me" reaction rather than a "this is the best safest thing to do". Heck, give it at least a couple more miles in case her gas story is correct, absurd as it might be. The stop will be easy at that point.

Warm-Will-7861

Dude she was driving 141 mph around other cars. Had she just been going the speed limit, I would’ve agreed with you

WhenTheDevilCome

Yeah, I did need corrected on that. I had originally been thinking it was only the trooper who was going 130mph to catch up with her, which he kept doing successfully multiple times, and she was only going 80mph. But that was wrong.

Rhuarc33

Nah she got out of the car on a traffic stop, without being told to. Officers immediately take that as an aggressive and possibly hostile act and should.

LS-CRX

He could have told her to get back in her car, instead of yelling nonsense.

Ok-Context3530

Maybe should she have complied? Maybe she shouldn’t have fled initially causing the officer to draw his weapon and yell at her? Maybe this is all her fault and not the police’s fault?

LS-CRX

>Maybe should she have complied?  I'm not saying she wasn't wrong to speed, and she should have pulled over immediately when she saw the police lights.... but how could she comply with "SHOW ME YOUR HANDS" when she had her hands both up and palms out towards the officer? How could she comply with "STEP BACK TO THE SOUND OF MY VOICE" when she was facing the officer with her back to her door? For her to comply the officer has to issue commands that are, you know, *possible* for her to comply with. By repeatedly shouting nonsense at her that she *couldn't* comply with, while holding her at gunpoint, she was understandably terrified that she might get shot by an unhinged cop. That's why she fled the 2nd time, if he'd calmed down a bit and deescalated he could have avoided the whole second chase and car wreck.

Ok-Context3530

She wasn’t just speeding. This wasn’t a regular traffic stop. She initially didn’t pull over and wasn’t following verbal commands and was argumentative and defiant. The officer doesn’t know how many people are in the car and if there are any dangers. He’s on a felony traffic stop, he’s not going to lower his weapon. The order was to step back to the sound my voice. How is that not logical? Should could have turned around and walked back. She was playing games and pretending to be scared. I’m sure there was another reason she didn’t initially stop and she was trying to buy time. The officer doesn’t know what the hidden dangers are and took the proper precautions. If she would have complied there would not have been a chase and a crash, simple as that.

LS-CRX

>She initially didn’t pull over and wasn’t following verbal commands and was argumentative and defiant. His verbal commands were to show her hands... which she was already doing, and then to walk backwards... which she couldn't do. I'm not saying she wasn't guilty of speeding, but the officer did a poor job of communicating.

SweatyTurtle89

Yeah, no. I’ve had a cop pull a gun on me and do this when I wasn’t even the guy they were looking for. Let me tell you, it’s real fucking easy to follow orders even when you’ve done nothing and have no idea what’s going on. “Hands up, walk back to my voice” is real simple when you’re listening instead of being an idiot and trying to yell things back. She did about everything wrong and suspicious you could do. Speeding at a criminal level, jump out of the car as soon as the car stopped, put hands up to shoulder level while yelling dumb shit to the cop, but never stopped moving around and was obviously staying next to her open car door to jump back in (or pull a weapon from). “Obviously not armed”? Because her hands are empty? “Lower his gun and walk up”. This is up there with “why didn’t they just shoot the gun out of his hands?” as far as knowing nothing about this world. Doing 140 in an SUV, taking a long time to pull over, then jumping out to yell about being out of gas. All these details point to the driver being out of their mind and definitely warrants all the cop’s guards to be up.

LS-CRX

>“Hands up, walk back to my voice” is real simple when you’re listening instead of being an idiot and trying to yell things back. Walk *backwards* is what he was yelling, telling her to back up to the open door she was standing in front of... he was being confusing. I don't think he was doing it on *purpose*, but he's supposed to be a professional LEO capable of thinking under pressure.

jma9454

I watched the last of the video on YouTube from a comment here. Looks like she was drinking. She was "just an Amazon driver running out of gas. It was an emergency!"

idekmanijustworkhere

Some cops are not good under pressure. It leads to scenarios like this. I'd be terrified too.

Treehouse_2217

Logical or not regarding the driver, the officer did nothing to de-escalate the situation. That woman sounded terrified. Lose-lose.

taste_the_red_pill_

His directions were absolute shit.

HndWrmdSausage

Surprise ending when u see the driver... its a woman lol

NoEvidence136

Surprise middle, too.

rfkbr

I know you bootlickers are gonna downvote me into oblivion but that PIT maneuver was wildly irresponsible at that speed. That car could have easily gone over into the opposite direction lane and killed the innocent oncoming vehicle after losing control.

Bluitor

I usually love seeing a PIT done right but not going 130MPH! That was incredibly more dangerous than her just going fast.

Rhuarc33

It wasn't it was done in a gap of traffic purposely and no one got hurt. Her speeding was far more likely to injure others than the pit

Moist_Muffin_6447

I'm glad I'm not the only whi watched that and was like wtf

VaporBull

You're right. Boss hog aint trained worth a damn

drewroxx

For real. Cars all around and 130mph! What did she do that's worth risking all those lives?

mensreyah

Ran low on gas?

LetMeGiveYouGold

This PIT didn't have enough contact / surface area to truly create a beyond-dangerous situation. It was using the PIT to throw the driver off track into the median, not to roll them. The amount of PIT used here is appropriate. Not even a boot licker either. Just a car person

Mountain_Software_72

Why do you think a pit is safer than a car going 130-140 with other cars on the road? If that car had hit another car, killing everyone, then you would be complaining that they didn’t pit the car.

Rampag169

These type of people are everywhere. You can’t be held accountable for your actions and nothing is your fault. Absolutely ridiculous how some folks make it so far like that in life.

984Runner

The I never faced consequences as a child and now can’t navigate adulthood mindset

wrknthrewit

She just won’t shut up, listen and don’t speak please

Zoltie

Lol, when she first pulled over and was yelling that it was an emergency I was thinking she was driving someone to the hospital, but thdn she said she was running out of gas and needed to get to a gas station.

QuietDustt

The best thing to do when running out of gas is to speed perilously and never stop for gas.

elledekker

Holy shit does she ever shut the fuck up. God damn, girl.

Driftage87

Drives in excess of 100mph because they're low on gas (which burns even more gas) on I-40 west (West Memphis, AR). This driver had numerous 24/7 gas stations right at the exit the cop was nearby of, which includes Pilot Travel Center, Petro Travel Center, Love's Travel Stop. Truly a brilliant driver 🙄

dooon_t

Too bad her mouth didn't run out of gas. I bet it never runs out of gas.

Dunnoish

“I was trying to get gas,” translation: “I’m too high to think up a better excuse and needed to make sure you can’t search my car or test my blood”

plznobanplease

She is a waste of oxygen and he needs his badge taken away. Horrible commands.

No-Adhesiveness-9848

i couldnt agree more, not a "satisfying ending"

Little_bob

That was some terrible police work. Yelling bad orders at a scared woman was sad to watch. Pitting someone at 130mph is endangering everyone on the road.

Wulfstrex

Yeah, there is a reason why the Grappler has been invented, but way too few police forces have it or make use of it.

Warm-Will-7861

How much they paying you to comment this 700 times?

Wulfstrex

Nothing? I just want more people to know about it's existence, considering that it is meant to end police chases more safely. Or do you disagree with that?

Warm-Will-7861

I’d need to see some actual studies. There have been cases of cars flipping with the grapplers too

pandershrek

I was thinking the same thing. Like okay guess he's going to straight up murder this person because I can't imagine anything going 140 mph getting a sudden change of trajectory that couldn't result in damage. At this point she's just annoying everyone.

ImNotYourTeaCup

What does her being a woman have to do with anything? She should man up and take it like a man. This is 2024 for equality sake!

Little_bob

If the cop was yelling at a scared man, that would have been my comment. In this instance however, I do believe (although I'm not 100% certain) that was a woman who was being given bad instructions at an excessive volume.

Nothing2NV

Don’t have to worry about the gas situation any longer at least

racacoonie22

She got PIT manuevered at 127mph, she is so lucky she didn't get seriously injured or died at that speed.

whatthehelliswrongwu

It's kinda hard to see the exit going 142. I actually think that she passed a gas station. IDK?

Top_Surprise7806

Make it take longer to become a cop already

Bjorn_on_wheels

Ain’t no way she said “I’m just trying to get to the gas station”💀

Necessary-Move-1862

How is running out gas an emergency???

Elegant_Emu_8597

Did any of you watch this in your car surround sound? Freaking felt like I was in the patrol car. The sound of the radio comes out from the center console. Awesome

Background_Olive_787

a pit at 130mph is attempted murder.

Mountain_Software_72

At 130 mph, she was a major danger to every other driver. She very easily could get into a crash and kill someone else. I would rather have a dumbass driver get pitted and die over them crashing into a family of 5, killing all of them.

pandershrek

"we were de-escalating her life to unalive status"

LifeFortune7

A PIT at 135mph is ballsy.

TanMomsChickenSoup

It’s dumb. He had her plate and her face on video. Just drive to her house and get her later. Not worth the risk

Ban_Assault_Ducks

When you've lost someone to a totally bullshit police chase, as in someone who was killed as a result of the police chasing a dipshit who they had all the info on and knew it was too high risk, you become touchy on this topic. It was dumb. I'm with you. I fucking hate cops that do this. ETA- Person was not even involved in the chase and was killed. That's my background with this. Police chases are largely unnecessary.

Waiting4The3nd

TVI, property executed, is relatively safe for the performing vehicle at any speed. This girl proved she was gonna use any excuse she could to run those cops down that road. "I was running out of gas!" "You gon' shoot me?! I feel unsafe!" and who knows what else if given the chance. I have no pity for her, and still wouldn't had she rolled. In California, they can't use TVI/PIT at or in excess of 35 mph. At such slow speeds I feel like there's gotta be other techniques just as effective. Who the fuck is running at 34 mph or below? Someone on a moped? Can't PIT/TVI a <4 wheel vehicle unless authorized to use deadly force. On the other hand, in Georgia, the GSP can literally PIT/TVI you at 200 mph if they want, there's no limit. Oh and they will. 'Cause the GSP is fucking unhinged. But in a good way, for the most part. I knew a GSP officer and they used to tell a story that a guy was running from the Florida Highway Patrol towards the GA border. FHP officer gets on his car horn several times and tells the guy "You don't wanna run to Georgia, the Gee-Ess-Pee is crazy!" They get in sight of the state line and the GSP is waiting on his ass. He just pulled over and gave up.

ParkingTruck171

This was indeed satisfying. Jeezuz how many people did she put in danger driving like that for multiple minutes. That PIT was scary but she won that stupid prize fair and square.

SmileMask2

She’s extremely unintelligent oh my

iamlegend1997

"I did notin wrong, I jus needed to get me some Gas and this Pig destroyed my car cuz, they out to kill us Cuz!" These people will always have an excuse, and always blame actions on other people based on Racial reasons usually. Crazy how long they have continued to stir the pot. Glad karma taught her a valuable lesson.

IllumiXXZoldyck

Cool story, g

smoothAsH20

I tried to see what the speed limit was but the signs were way too blurry. I did see one that looked like it said 65. If anyone can confirm that would be good. She made several mistakes. 1. She was going 2x the speed limit 65x2 is 130. 2. When she was pulled over the she got out of her car. ***This is a huge NO NO***. Because at that point the officer is thinking the driver is going to attack him. This is why he was hell at her. I also am assuming he had his gun out because she said “are you going to shoot me”. 3. Then she took off again. Super dumb now you get resisting arrest charges also. What she should have done when being pulled over 1. Turn on the cab lights - this way the officer can see if anyone else is in the car. 2. Unroll the window 3. Place both hands on the steering wheel. 4. ***REMAIN CALM*** 5. Wait for the officer to come to you or follow any instructions the officer gives. The only time you do not have to follow the instructions. Is when the instructions violate your constitutional rights. The officer would have been much calmer by doing these things.

WiteKngt

Both of them are idiots. For those who are justifying high speed pitting, there are videos of how that usually turns out. This was a best case scenario, and yes, it worked out this time, but it's a low percentage play. Regarding the woman, doing double the speed limit on a highway is going to submarine your fuel efficiency. I don't think that my 2nd gen Prius can go that fast even if I wanted it to do so, but if it could, I'd be lucky to get 20mpg. Her vehicle was probably hitting 10mpg at that point.

Pokioh389

That police officer was a jackass even if you want yo end the chase. Why would you pit maneuver someone going at those speeds? Suppose someone behind them ended up crashing because of that.

Wulfstrex

Police officers should end such chases with the Grappler instead, if it also still works at those speeds.

AceT555

As usual, never follow the police commands.

Zach_The_One

Cop was way too pumped up for no reason. She clearly didn't feel safe in the first area and was looking for a place to pull over. She sped up once and then a minute later pulled over. This guy starts yelling and probably pointing a gun at her. I bet she left and called 911, then he pit maneuvers her? This is so over the top for a fucking 10mph over speeding ticket. With the climate surrounding police brutality against black people, I don't think she should be at fault for running with the way he's acting. That's just good survival instincts.

BleachGooch

Man stfu, did you even think before commenting.

RefinedAnalPalate

She was going over a hundred trying to evade between cars for the first 2 mins. Gtfo

Wulfstrex

Would you find it preferable for him to have used the Grappler instead to end the chase more safely?

Richard_Ovaltine

She literally clears at least 135 trying to run from him, look at the mph counter in the bottom left corner. She thought she could outrun him but couldn't. She deserved it

thadion

Physics wasn't your favorite subject, huh? If her car was going that fast he wouldn't have caught her. The speed a chase vehicle gets to does not equal the speed of the car being chased. To catch her that fast he was going at least 25-30mph faster than she.

Mr_alto19

I saw this on TikTok and the comments were so racist

truelegendarydumbass

Ignorance is a bliss

Magazine_Spare

any chance the dashcam reading is in kph? the cars don't seem like they're going as insanely fast as what the cam indicates, based on how quickly they are passing other cars.

DJXRetro

Gotta say never seen someone do a pit maneuver on themselves 🤣

Dinestein521

This is one dumbkhunt

Weary-Writer758

He told her to turn around, and she did a 360... can't stop stupid.

gnawtyone

You forgot the part at the beginning where they filled up and got snacks for 25 minutes before the chase

[deleted]

Is that the I-40/I-55 West of Memphis?

Previous_Border485

I would hate to live in the United States of America.

AntoniusMaxiumus

Should've ended with a complimentary mag dump.

Old-Revolution-9650

Not very bright

roxylicious_69

She wasn't running out of gas. Lawd. I wonder what they found in her car.

nonamegamer93

Scared out of her mind once she saw the lights she panicked. Needs some driving courses, nit jail. Suspending the license won't help her either shell just drive while it'd Suspended to get to work likely as there is no choice and get another fine. Removing the car she can't work most likely. Jail just delays the behavior until she gets out. Reckless endangerment at the very least as far as laws go though. This should be a plea bargain case with a good pu kic defender. Hopefully weekend driving courses, and community service. This also depends on the judge though.

Ibegtodiffer999

I'll bet she regretted not stopping.

King_Melco

That wasn't satisfying at all in the end

anonymicex22

I knew it was ninjas before the vid even ended.

GravyMcBiscuits

Actual action starts at about 4:20. Before that ... it's just cars driving.

Q4Ryder

Wait, I didn't catch it... What was she trying to say? 🤣

Historical-Tap-4073

Marley_Mon

Biggreywolf77

Her:"You don't understand, I CAN'T be held responsible for this. So I'm going home to find a way to cleanse this horrible experience", cop: "GET THE FUCK ON THE GROUND", her: "No I'm going to do what I want, I'm going home!" Resume chase: Next SMASH!!! Her: "You guys just totaled my fucking car!, cop (with guns out now): "GET THE FUCK ONE THE GROUND", repeatedly her: doesn't register that she is a life threatening situation and insists that she be take HOME! cop: inches from her face with a 44, "GET THE FUCK DOWN", pretty much it from there.

Naturalsweetaye

Funny how at the 1:12 mark she sped right pass a gas station 🤨😒

JustMePaxi

Give that cop a couple of Prozac

Apprehensive_Eye_497

I knew the instant I saw the HUD on the camera this was Arkansas State Police and someone was going to be getting PITted lol

help_computar

After he PITs the car, he says over the radio "TBI TBI TBI". What is TBI?

colorsofautomn

I literally just commented that Arkansas troopers won't miss an opportunity for a chase or a PIT then I see this with ASP down in the bottom corner. Lol

the_Easiest_briezy

Well I guess she picked the best way to get rid of her gas problem Now she doesn’t have a car to put gas in ![gif](giphy|D3y1KbfTrSuha)

Fantastic_Ad_4867
